    your videos are MORE REAL than a lot of others-----crowded, not totally scripted, to the point, the does and don'ts of assembly, etc etc------you always have something new that makes your videos REAL thanx rick

    Many thanks for showing how you overcame the problems fitting these slides. I was scratching my head trying to work it all out. I wish I had seen your video before I bought these slides then I may have gone for a different make! Well done.

    Great stuff! I needed to see the trial because I was wondering how everyone was getting it flush straight away. Keeping it real man👍👍

    You're using alien measurements like millimeters and furlongs. I don't know what they are but your tutorial was very helpful and better presented than a lot of others I watch. Nice Job.

      Whenever I do cabinetry, I use millimeters because it’s much more precise and the instructions of the hardware I use such as concealed hinges and side mount drawer slides are all in metric as well. The 32mm cabinetry system is worldwide. I still use imperial for other things like framing and crown molding etc… but not always lol

    I've noticed a few BLUM knockoff designs on hardware seller's sites. Not tried any of them yet. Thanks for the warning. Undermount looks so much nicer than side mount and you don't lose 25 mm drawer space.

    Yup, thanks for the helpful video. I want to replace some wornout wood center mounts in drawers built in the 50s. My concern is that the bottoms of these drawers are only ⅛ of inch thick. So there's not enough room to screw the clips to the bottom of the drawer securely. I'm thinking that adding an ⅛ of an inch sheet of plywood to the inside bottom of the drawer would give me the room I need to screw the clips up from underneath. Do you think this is a sound idea, or can you see a problem with it that I may not be aware of? Also, I am not a carpenter. I just love working with wood and making my own repairs when I can.

    Pro tip if you cut two sides you just have to hit with hammer for even break no need to break out the multitool.

      These wouldn’t be too bad if they actually gave you a physical copy of the instructions instead of on an Amazon page, with measurements that don’t even exist. I didn’t show you how ridiculous it was to find the width to make my drawer boxes fit properly between these slides. I need to find a direct supplier for Blum!!! Lol

    did you use the quarter quarter quarter method for your drawer construction? if so did you use a half inch setup version of that?

    help!!
    i got used slides for free (sikai brand), and i cannot figure out how to separate them for installation!
    when i pull the drawers out, the notch in the back just comes right out.
    what can i do to fix this?

    • @imherefor2things
      @imherefor2things Před 9 měsíci

      I want to add, I have to back pinholes in the right spot. I am using drawers that I also got for free, and they were originally used with the slides.
      They did not really slide well to begin with, and I wanted to use this for a different project anyway.
      I built my own bed with a 25 inch clearance underneath last year....so that I could save space with drawers and pull-out storage underneath.
      I ended up putting this shelf sideways, and mounting it on casters. Then, I installed a handle to be able to pull it out easily.
      Sideways, rather than upright the spacing was a little bit different. It wasn't off much, I was able to fix that problem.
      What I'm stuck on now, is how do I get these *#!@!&!* drawer slides to act right??!!

    The drawer ends up having to be moved back the thickness of your material. The clips underneath should be flush to the false front, not the drawer box.

    • @AnthonyScolaro1
      @AnthonyScolaro1  Před rokem +1

      You can’t flush the clips up to the front of the drawer because the have to sit recessed underneath behind the drawer box otherwise you would have to have a bottom that’s exposed. Think about what you’re saying. These are not side mount, they’re “undermount”

    • @AnthonyScolaro1

      @@seanhenry744 unfortunately I couldn’t get my usual Blum undermount slides, so I tried these because I thought they would be comparative.

    • @unitsevenworkshop
      @unitsevenworkshop Před rokem

      @@AnthonyScolaro1 you notch the front panel of the drawer box just like the back so you can bring the locking devices forward. However this also means the depth of the box in the cabinet needs to be decreased by the thickness of your material. The same thing applies with a premium undermount runner such as Blum (it's how they recommend they be installed in their technical documents). The way you have done it is absolutely fine but has the slight drawback of losing a smidge of extension with the advantage of a slightly bigger drawer box.

    • @AnthonyScolaro1
      @AnthonyScolaro1  Před rokem

      @@unitsevenworkshop that’s great information, thank you for sharing. I’ve done it this way with blum also and didn’t see anything about notching the front but since their directions were spot on with measurements, the Blums were much easier to install.

    • @unitsevenworkshop
      @unitsevenworkshop Před rokem

      @@AnthonyScolaro1 to be honest it's not terribly clear in the document, page 428 shows a diagram of a "drawer" Vs an "inner drawer", you can see the cutouts on the "drawer" diagram. This seems to be the only area it's referenced.
      I would have provided a link but every time I include it in my comment it gets deleted immediately.
