that’s on purpose. It’s supposed to look better. In the manga falco isn’t behind her because he shows up in the next panel. This not only makes it better in the anime than the manga with the wings behind her, but in animation logic it makes sense that he would be behind her in that scene which doesn’t work for the manga, however I think the change in that panel was on purpose So the scene could be more symbolic than it was in the manga. but you know what’s funny? It’s starting to confuse people and now people are thinking mikasa has wings.

That's what I was thinking too, especially after the end of the first special. They also introduced him like this all the way in the first episode of season 1. He was out of it and confused, said he dreamed of flying through the air with a sword in his hand. It's unfortunately 100% Falco I'm afraid. Although I am still curious what would happen if an Ackerman becomes a titan.

I haven't read the manga but if you watched the last part then it's obvious that... possible spoiler:
It's not Mikasa with the wings, it's someone else holding her. Now based on the fact that Annie was on the boat far away from Eren when the Alliance attacked Eren but in the trailer it seems like she joined the fight and that the Jaw Titan was with Annie on the boat and dreamt about flying and that the Jaw Titan's name is freaking FALCO (falcon...), it is obvious that it is not Mikasa but Falco that has the wings. So Falco flew there with Annie and held Mikasa up for the shot.

I am pretty sure i know what's going on with Mikasa wings frame. Even tho i haven't read manga myself. I don't know if i am suppose to spoil this moment, but if you paid attention during last moments of Final chapter 2, then you also probably can figure out what's going on there.
