Poor Gemma I know stealing wasn't a good thing especially infront of child but you can see how much they are struggling in money wise and there is thousands out there are struggling too I mean 45 pounds for a pair of kids shoes is ridiculous they are more expensive than adults
It's OK! You can steal up to 200 quid before being prosecuted in England. Don't sweat it, Gemma!

Always wondered where the people on "corrie" got thier dough. You never see them working yet they can afford to hit the pub and pay Five Pound fer' a Beer.......Now its part of the storyline. A little more realistic maybe -- but realism is always the best version.
If you are ever in that situation at the end, a bit of diplomacy is needed. Ches should have advocated for Gemma at the end there, and appealing to father and shoe shop owner's better nature by explaining why Gemma felt the need to steal.
You never know what family are going through with money situation I would never look down on someone doesn’t make them bad makes the desperate 😢
Poor Gemma :( her brother is dying, her and Chesney are being evicted. Please can Corrie has a happy storyline for Gemma, this really isn’t fair for her

Gemma should be shop lifting just because she couldn't buy her little girl some shoes from the shoe shop I know alot of people probably do that as well in real life because they can not cope on what they live off it still doesn't make it okay to shop lift in a shoe shop or any other shop.
