    Thank you for this inspiring and timely conversation. It’s the parents and the teachers who need to be first the role models to show virtuous character for their students. It’s indeed a life style, trickling down from above (and Above!). From what I see, most modern schools only put virtues on posters or turn them into slogans. Christian classical education (at least Memoria press) walks the walk, and is the only way to turn this country back to her greatness. God bless you!

    With the resurgence of virtue epistemology over the past 50 years or so, there has been some good contemporary work done on intellectual virtues education. The resources that are out there help to connect the ancient ideas of character formation to the modern world.
