I love that you put in Mysteries and thrillers in this video. I've been waiting. But I also enjoyed many other of your recommendations like bittersweet. I read a similar book and should review it on my channel with bitter sweet. I wish I could remember the name. I enjoyed your video. PS I don't think you should read one by one. Hey Noelle just to say because you probably forgot but the main character in How to Stop Time can’t time travel, he’s basically immortal! He lives for hundreds of years longer than the average human so he just lives through lots of time periods rather than time travelling, but it’s still a great book!

Since most people seem to have disliked the movie adaption of "I'm thinking of ending things" I must say that I absolutely loved the movie. My boyfriend and I analysed it after watching it and it DOES make sense - if you let it make sense to you. I think the movie is way more complicated than the book (in a neither good or bad way) so you have to ask yourself what all the metaphors mean to YOU. I also thinks it's super aesthetically pleasing. And while the car scene at the beginning is super slow, it's also important, I believe. I liked their conversation and how awkward and just LONG it was. It's not a movie for mindless entertainment but one to be watched with very open eyes and ears.
Tho, the ballett scene was absolute trash and I hated it lol

10:00 If anyone wants another "Gothic Fiction Classic" recommendation that has murder, a "deal with the devil" and some Homoerotic Subtext (for lack of a better term), I recommend The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It can be a bit dry sometimes but it ended up being one of my favorite books of all time.

Something with a character who learns to love themselves and embrace what they love...
My really good recommendation would be the book (Dumplin).
This book is about an overweight girl who already struggles with her weight but also the weight of a family loss of her most amazing aunt who taught her how to be herself. With her aunt out of the picture, it is like she had lost herself. Her mother being an ex-pageant queen has a high expectancy of her daughter that dumpling doesn't seem that she fits right in and it tears the relationship they have. After Dumplin finds something within the aunt's belongings she enters the pageant herself in spite of her mother to prove a point about what you can do which is anything you want no matter the size or the way you look. And I am not telling any more about the book, it is an amazing read and there is so much more about this book that hits personal insecurities that anyone may have and it is just that feel-good type of book with a high relation to it.

SO GOOD I want more recommendations from youuu Moms Petunia. Also, to the person looking for a romance without smut read, I recommend If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane! It's super fun, non-smutty but juuust sexually tense enough, and the main character is of mixed race in the UK. McFarlane deals with sort of heavy subjects while letting the main character also have her romance.
