It feels bittersweet watching these old cosplay videos because of how so much has changed in the hetalia fandom from over a decade ago till present day ( along with so many things). Plus, reading all the comments makes me feel a bit emotional because it seems like I’m not the only one who treasured these silly videos during a part of my youth, it’s all so nostalgic and it’s a good memory.
Also… I could have sworn there was a “Like a Boss” and “J*zz in my pants” cosplay videos or maybe it was another cosplay group I’m not sure.
( oh and I forgot to mention the America cosplay will forever be the most perfect head cannon Alfred for me ❤.)
i remember watching this in grade 5, i was so into hetalia and so jealous that they were cosplaying with so many friends, i cant even begin to understand that this was uploaded 13 years ago, i was 4 ish when this came out. the people in this are full grown adults now like assuming they were around my age when they made this, if not older theyre like 30 now, these people could be married with kids and this is probably what theyll be best known for. thats fucking crazy dude

id love to either dress up as canada, america, or france for halloween because i havent told my mom what cosplay is, and dressing up 4 halloween is the only thing ill ever get close to for cosplaying ;~;
I've cosplayed as Canada once, and not once after that did I ever not speak in an either English or Italian accent. I'm still physically incapable of doing so. I even bleached my hair and got a tan. Like, literally, I'm way darker than Mattie and I couldn't cosplay him even if I tried. :)
Never let any aspect of your body keep you from doing something you want to do. I understand where you're coming from. I have quite the muffin top, an asian face, and very long black hair that keeps me from being able to cosplay practically any of the Hetalia dudes. Closest I can get to is China. XD Start out with cosplays that you look closest too, but eventually, don't keep yourself for reaching for someone who you really want to portray. Believe me, it's a LOT of fun!
