    Treach said what I've been saying for years don't blame the artist they probably don't want to make those type of songs but that's what gets them paid so if you show growth as an artist and the record label won't support it and your audience don't want it then what

    • @SpinnTraxxMusic
      @SpinnTraxxMusic Před 2 lety +2

      You kinda do have to place some responsibility on the artist because they are basically saying I’m willing to sell you death so I can live…. If they really didn’t want to make that kind of music or didn’t put money over everything things could change. The other problem is support the music gets, if the consumers didn’t buy it there wouldn’t be a market for it.
      Most of the same rappers selling death are married, raising their families and putting their kids through college while sending “ours” to the streets…

    This is true, because it is - concerning the music/entertainment industry - about: how much drugs one sold, and how much money one has; and how many "dudes" one shot, and how many females one got; and how much hate one is getting from haters. And it just recycles itself in uniformity from one rapper to another.

  • @blackjoeybeats
    @blackjoeybeats Před 2 lety +3

    There's a lot of truth to what the brotha said about southern producers, but not all of create music that way. A lot of producers I grew up with were heavy into Fruity Loops and played drums in band at school, but I learned how to sample on the MPC for years before I even touched my first keyboard, and stayed away from Fruity Loops. There's a lot of us here with that same mentality. True, the South brought more of a musical element to hip-hop in general, but we have some legendary producers who did it with MPC's from my city (Atlanta) including Toomp and Shawty Redd, and a lot of people don't know that Mannie Fresh was a beast on the MPC too.

    Lil Durk is my age, but musically he dropped about 5 years after the Kendrick & Cole era started so he’s looked at as a generation below. By the time he actually dropped a album in 2015 Kendrick was already on TPAB, Drake dropped NWTS & Cole was coming off 2014 Forrest Hill Drive. They cater to two different age groups.

    Dre took piano lessons with Burt Bacharach too. Music Theory is where it's at, but playing by ear is where the soul and feeling is at!!!
