7:23 Honestly bro. Justin Roberts is such a gem. I went to the live taping of dynamite when it was hosted in the Chesepeake center in Baltimore. Since it was held there, a lot of us were UMBC students.
During elevation Justin singlehandedly started a faction war between each of the sections that lasted the entire night. During either the rampage or the elevation taping you could hear a faint "2-0-7" chant. It was a blast

39:02 To clarify, Adam Cole himself said that the manager and haircut rumors for his call-up were false but the name change was an idea thrown around when he met Vince which ultimately led him to AEW.
I think he would've been a solid midcarder in the main roster but he probably wouldn't want that either 🤷
Match of the week was FTR vs the briscoes at death before dishonor. It was extremely fun to watch.
Wrestler of the week is hook for finally getting that with a huge pop. Love the guy
Riddle and Rollins are actually okay now and they have been seen doing things together such as appearing on Xavier Woods YT channel. The beef was mainly around some comments that Riddle's now ex wife made about Becky Lynch. From what I've read they are cool with each other now.
Miyu vs Rosa was my favorite match of the night. I wish they would showcase outside challengers with vignettes and segments more...then maybe people would be into it more. I loved it because I happened to learn who Miyu was earlier this year because of Karen Watches Wrestling
to pull the curtain back a bit a big big reason why AEW doesn't always do vignettes is because if you look at min by min ratings the biggest drop off in viewership is video packages. obviously it would be really nice to have these video packages play and I think TK knows that as well but also if you look at it from AEW's perspective, its not worth losing those viewers who would rather just watch the wrestling.
John, sounds like a similar experience to what I had when AEW was in St. Louis in June. I agree with Dante, that the commentary really adds to the presentation. I may be wrong, but I could have sworn I once saw ear pieces for sale that let you listen in the commentary at a WWE show. I didn't get one at the time, but I've not seen that since. If I'm crazy and that's not a real thing, it should be!! Instant $$$ maker!!
Relating to RUSH vs Moxley: they mentioned on commentary that he was on a 9 match win streak across AEW, ROH and Mexico and that's part of the reason he got a title match. I would assume the other part is that Moxley wants to defend it as often as possible

Vince McMahon was in charge of the company for 40 years and a month. He took Hulk Hogan and made him a global icon, he created WrestleMania and the Rock & Wrestling Connection, he made wrestling mainstream entertainment, he survived the steroids trial, he brought the Attitude Era and won the Monday Night Wars, he made stars like Stone Cold, The Rock, the Undertaker, John Cena, Dave Batista, Randy Orton, Sasha Banks and seemingly Roman Reigns could be next on the list. He created the Sports Entertainment brand. He's been the key figure on professional wrestling forever but he wasn't gonna survive everything and come unscathed out of every war. Now he's been caught again but it looks more serious and he's had to leave.
It's a funny coincidence that he leaves just when WWE goes TV14. With that and with the changes in creative and talent relations it'd seem like definitely a new era is upon us Now we need a name for it.
that girl did have back story, she had a match against thunder Rosa and beat her to earn a title shot and i think it was later put on dark but was another companies program

hey guys! I really enjoy your podcast but if there's a bit of a critique I can say is sometimes i feel like theres not a lot of attention given when watching the shows and it sorta makes things a bit messy in the podcast. For example, the Ricky starks promo was show on TV and also Thunder Rosa went to Japan a couple weeks ago and wrestled Miyu Yamashita and lost which earned her a title shot which was explained who she is last week and on social media. Again I really enjoy you guys but also wanted to give some critique so the podcast can be even better. Keep up the good work!

AEW needs to come to New Orleans and have Starks in the main event and watch the crowd blow the roof off the place. I didn't really know Starks until he was in the NWA promotion. His promos remind me of like an early Rock

Loving the videos. Now before i go on and say my piece let me say soke background with me. I was born in 86 i started watching wwe smackdown on thursday night in the 90s. Things were great. I stopped by the 2000s watching it.later in life i got into wcw and i love watching wcw on wwe network. Now my favorite wrestlers ever are sting (who i met recently and got his autograph.), Hulk hogan, macho man,kevin nash,ray mysterio,stone cold and such. Most if not all are from the 90s. I like a few from now. I prefurr mens wrestling on aew but womans in wwe. For me the best in wwe is the wmans. I love rhanda rousey. I liked becky lynch pre this new persona. Im loving the womans side in wwe alot. As for the men i never liked roman rains and seth rollins is ok. They pushed roman rains and brock lesner too much. Roman needs to loose his titles and be out of title picture for atleast 2 or 3 years. Im so over him. Id like to see the rock take it from him at wrestlemania but then for a new feud to come rock vs idk who there is thats good left. Maby someone like braun stroman or brey wyatt come back and get it from the rock and rock retires for good after that. The problem is they had wrestler gold in 90s and 2000s and most retired, went to aew,or went to tna and then later retired. So they lost 90% of there top talent. Keep up the work loving the videos.
A possible explanation for why RUSH got so much offense in: Tony Khan LOVES that guy. Go watch the media scrum after Death Before Dishonor and just listen to how passionately he talks about him. He talks passionately about people, but he went in depth with RUSH. So I feel like he has much more planned for RUSH and didn’t want him to get dogged through the whole match. Plus, I’d recommend looking into RUSH’s past behind the scenes. That man very rarely takes pins.
Also, I really do like you guys, but you guys gotta do your research if you’re gonna be covering pro wrestling. Y’all got *so* much wrong in this. Starks’ promo was on TV. Yamashita is from Tokyo Joshi Pro. She is the ace of their company right now. Rosa went there to wrestler her and lost so Yamashita got a title shot. She’s an absolute killer. Malakai Black actually studies her striking. Cole Karter challenged Starks not Mox. It’s Tuh • Kesh• Tah not Take • Sheet • ah. They explained that RUSH won 9 in a row. Obviously Rush wasn’t going to win, pro wrestling is about the wrestling in times like that. Just a little bit of research could save y’all from looking like you don’t watch the product.

The coolest thing to me would be if AEW superstars were in the WWE Royal Rumble, under HHH probably would never happen but imagine the reaction of Hook coming out the place would go MAD

Ok so picture this in 1 years time, AEW Dynamite is getting ready to start Tony Khan has been talking for weeks about having the biggest announcement in wrestling today. Tony is in the ring he talks about how much he appreciates these fan and everyone that has came to make this company what it is today. He announces that All OUT will be a Pay Per View that no one has ever seen. Tony "In a month and a half we will cement AEW as the best professional wrestling company in the world and you shall" his mic cuts off lights go out and all we hear is TIME TO PLAY THE GAME. Triple H comes out goes down to the ring. "This isn't going to ba pissing match to see who has the better company, this will be a show for all pro wrestling fans around the world. Tony let's put on a good show." They shake hands, crowds starts to go crazy. Tony turns around and boom Sweet Chin Music from HBK to Tony. Triple H and HBK goes into the crowd throws up the DX sign and says Fuck AEW, Let the War begin

the wwe style is chanelling all into one guy, brock lesner and roman, they burn the credibility of other wrestlers to lift up this guys at overpower level
i dont like that but, it works for other people, i like feel there is more competition, i like more superstars being champion, not just 2 megastars being champion, is just preference
