They give Yianni a no action call right after he shot for a takedown lol sometimes these judges are something else. It’s like they feel pressured to throw a stall call on the other wrestler because they threw one on the other guy already.
I get it if the match was moving super slow but ehh at least he never got put on the clock.

I got to shake Yanni's hand at Final X. I had floor seats 3rd row and while Kyle (Dake) was wrestling he was sitting right in front of me. I took the opportunity to say hi and shake his hand (this was back in the days when you could shake hands without showing a vaccination card). I was surprised at how small and something less than strong feeling his hands were for being a wrestler of his caliber. I am 5-10 205 so not a big guy. Not a knock on Yanni, just an observation. He was very nice and willing to do so. Appreciated his professionalism.

Thank God. Should have been him at the Olympics. He would have qualified unlike Jordan and would have represented USA 🇺🇸 in a huge way. Jordan is good but Yianni had beaten him every other time they wrestled. Just wasn’t Yianni’s day. It was Jordan’s day.

The one commentator sounds like Dana White. Dana doesn't care about wrestling, though. All about strikers and never does a wrestling heavy fighter a favor. Ever.
What about Khabib, Dana seems to have a soft spot for him. Also, GSP has a good takedown & overall is an impressive athlete. DC is another wrestler that got good treatment from the UFC, so much so that he’s now a commentator & media man for them
@@Warex06 I guess I mean moreso that he never hand picks wrestlers for stardom. He desperately wanted Conor to beat Khabib. He was willing to give Conor an immediate rematch despite a garbage performance. Many fighters do get "good" treatment from the UFC, but Dana also talked mad shit about GSP on several occasions. He will give O'Malley, Paddy, Conor and many others favorable match ups to help them along and make them a star. What wrestler has he ever done that for? Khabib had to earn every scrap.

Until Joey is willing to rip that knee off Yani;s left hip he is going to have issues finishing that left leg side single. He has to think like Jordan, either you are going to go down with the double leg on the soft mat or get hurt when you land on the hard concrete.

headgear just gets in the way, also no way for opponent to grab headgear when there is no headgear to grab
Headgear is annoying as fuck.
It's optional in Freestyle. Meaning you don't have to wear it. Nobody does because headgear is a royal pain in the ass.
Yeah makes it harder to pop your head out of tight situations or holds some guys will wear it in practice but not compete with it
