This is an animation for a game inspired by the authors H.P Lovecraft and Juni Ito, it is also done entirely in Microsoft Paint. The man making the game is Polish and a part time dentist!

It's a cinematic trailer. Many video game trailers use cinematic cutscenes that aren't gameplay. Like Elden Ring, etc. I do wish the game looked like this, but the real game is also very good!

sort of. the game itself is still great, but doesn't have any animations in it which are quite as extensive as this.
This trailer reminds me of Junji Ito’s work, and it looks much better than all of the other anime shows that have been done at his work. Which is a major testament to this group!
The upcoming Uzumaki series looks amazing, but if you’re only talking about those awful collections, yeah, this is way better.

ゲームはアーリーアクセスの時からやってるから知ってたけど初見これ見て買ってゲーム内にも同じようなイベントシーンがあると思い込んで詐欺だと言ってる人がいて残念だと思う...

Interesting, I was watching this and unable to read japanese I assumed it was just a nice animation and I was immediately completely captivated in the first few seconds, and as I was watching I was like "Wow, this would make a super cool horror game." and "but it's a really cool standalone animation too!" Then I got to the end of the video and, wish come true! Incredible animation!
