    Hello. Today I used deltamethrin powder in the areas I found roach droppings, so behind and inside my oven and between the fridge and the wall. I dusted deltamethrin in as many places as I could.
    I usually check my kitchen at night and I almost never see mature roaches in my home. I usually only see nymphs. But ever since using deltamethrin I’ve seen some mature roaches coming out of their hiding spaces and some were dying. Is this a good sign? Do you know why I never saw the mature roaches until now?

      I'm sorry for the delay in responding. I am on vacation at the moment, and I am on a cruise, so I don't always have internet and often I am doing vacation stuff. My wife and I have not had a vacation in over 13 years, so it was time. I will be home on June 11, so I can answer any additional questions you may have at that time.
      You are asking a very complex question that would take a very long time to explain. Deltamethrin dust is a great product, but you cannot apply it the way you did and expect to eliminate a German cockroach infestation. There is a lot more to it than that. Please watch my video on how to eliminate a German cockroach infestation. If you really want to get rid of these guys, then this video will show you how to do it, but I warn you that it is not easy, and the video is not short. However, this is the ONLY way to get it done and the only video on the web that can show you how to do it. The first part of the video will answer a lot of your questions about what went wrong with your treatment.
      I hope that helps. Be well my friend.

      You are very welcome. Did you know that you can actually prevent wasps altogether? It's true. You can simply treat areas where wasps typically build nests with a safe pesticide. I do it every 60 days on my house, sheds, and fence gates. I also treat my utility trailer. I have a video on how to do it. You can use a tank sprayer or a hose end sprayer. Personally, I use a hose end sprayer because it is way faster and I can reach areas as high as 25 feet off the ground. The video shows how to prevent bugs from getting into your home, but the same treatment works for wasps too. Just apply it where you are having the problem. If you do it every 60 days you will have no more wasps. No need to apply it in the freezing weather. Thanks for watching. Be well my friend.

    Long lasting Scorpion killer?

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Raid Ant and Roach Killer is not a good choice for scorpion control. It should take one out if you hit them directly with it, but it is unlikely to leave enough residual behind to be effective against scorpions. I recommend that you buy Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide. Mix it according to label directions in a battery operated tank sprayer and spray up the side of the building 36 inches and out away from the building 48 inches. Be sure to soak the area where the building meets the ground. Also apply this on your patios, stairs, sidewalks, and that sort of thing. In other words, you want to apply it any place you frequently walk. This will stop the scorpions from getting in the building or hanging out on surfaces where you frequently walk. Next, you should apply it on all ornamental plants around the building as well, being sure to treat the dirt under the plants. I recommend applying it every 60 days. Look for obvious penetrations in the side of the house and treat them with D-Fense dust. Just buy a duster, fill it halfway with the dust, and puff the dust into any cracks or crevices that you find. There is a really nice duster on Amazon that I like a lot. I will give you the link to it. After treating, it is a good idea to caulk these penetrations as well, with the exception of weep holes in brick. Amazon has vented plugs that will fit into the weep holes.
      Always make sure that you hang up all your clothes. You should never leave clothes laying on the floor. Clothes that are waiting to be washed should be kept in a sealed hamper. Shoes should be kept off the floor on some sort of a shoe rack. After you finish the exterior treatment, you should check the house for scorpions. Look under appliances, in closets, under the bed, and that sort of thing. Be sure to check shoes, curtains, or anyplace these guys may be hiding. To assist in your search, you can use a black light. All scorpions will glow green when exposed to a black light.
      I hope that helps. Be well my friend.

      Please watch my latest video on treating the outside of your home. If you treat the outside, then you will not have pests on the inside. Some pests require that you also treat the yard, so I will give you a link to that video too. I treat my yard and house every 60 days. I treat the yard with a hose end sprayer. Since I have the sprayer in my hand already, I just use it to treat the house too. After the outside is treated, you can go ahead and get rid of any pests that are inside. I need to know the specific pest to tell you how to get rid of them. Different pests get treated differently.

      One thing I can tell you for sure is, if it's in my house, then it is definitely endangered. I don't want to seem like a mean person, but if I let the wolf spider live, then MY life would be endangered by my wife. So, those things need to go. I think it's fine to put them back outside, but they can run pretty fast sometimes and can get away. If one runs under our bed, I promise you that I will be spending a lot of time finding that thing and getting rid of it. That is, if I want to remain married. Lol.

    Hi Mr. Guy. Do you have any quick fixes for fleas?? We have swept, mopped, vacuumed floors and furniture, washed dog bedding, bathed dogs, dogs are on flea prevention, cats have flea collars, BUT we forgot to spray our yard with Adams Plus Yard Spray before this heat started increasing. Now, we can't seem to fully get rid of them.

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I'm afraid there are no quick fixes for fleas. To rid your home of fleas, the first thing you need to do is to vacuum all the upholstered furniture and pet bedding, paying particular attention to places where fleas can hide, like behind cushions. Next, vacuum the floors throughout the house. If you have a vacuum with a disposable bag, then discard the bag outside in the trash. If you have a vacuum with a reusable canister, empty it outside in the trash and then wash it out with the garden hose before bringing it back in the house. Wash all bed linens and pet bedding in your washing machine and dry on high heat. Next, spray a pesticide that is labeled for fleas, on all the floors and on areas of upholstered furniture that does not come in contact with people or pets. To treat floors, hold the can at arm’s length and make sweeping motions across the floor to cover all surfaces. For upholstered furniture, you should spray under the cushions and then any folds that there are. The product that I like best is called PT Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Aerosol. I will give you a link for it. Fleas can be hard to kill, so you may need to do this treatment every two weeks until the problem is solved. If the dogs and cats have fleas, you should treat them as recommended by your vet.
      It sounds like you already know that the reason fleas got into the house in the first place is because they are outside. If you have a flea problem outside, then there is a good chance you will end up with a flea problem inside. Even if you didn't have pets, the fleas will still jump on you when you are outside, and so you can carry them in. Therefore, you are correct that you need to treat the outside as well. I do this with a hose end sprayer. I will give you a link to my video on how to do that. I find that treating the yard every 60 days seems to do the trick. However, if this is not working, then you need to go nuclear on them and use Bifen IT granules. You can apply them with a hand spreader or push spreader. Just follow label recommendations for application and water them in with the Bifen XTS and the hose end sprayer. You want to treat the entire lawn with the granules and the dirt around any ornamental plants. Make sure that you apply enough of the Bifen XTS to soak all the way down to the ground. The video will show you how to mix it and apply it correctly. All the materials shown in the video are in the video description.
      I hope that helps. Be well my friend.

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I am somewhat surprised that you never ran into a wolf spider. Perhaps you did and didn't realize what you were looking at. There are about 130 wolf spider species in Australia. These guys are different than web spinning spiders. Instead of spinning a web and waiting for their victims to fly into the web, wolf spiders hunt for their food like, well... like a wolf. Hence the name. They also carry their young on their backs, which is really weird when you see it. They are not particularly poisonous, but they can have a painful bite. This is not a species that you pick up with our bare hands. They typically remain outside, but they have been know to enter buildings from time to time. They are very scary looking too. I really hate these things. Be well mate.

    • @SteveMack
      @SteveMack Před 7 měsíci

      Can't be very common around my city area then...What we do have a lot of, are 'huntsman' spiders. They are fairly hairy, and CAN grow very big, although the most common size is say 4 inches. Non venomous. We have 'Daddy long legs' as we call them; very thin spindly legs, and not at all scary looking...although moderately venomous technically; their fangs are so tiny, they can't bite humans effectively. Of course, we have many others too

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@SteveMack It's hard to say how many wolf spiders you have in your area. The truth is that you don't actually see them very often. They are a ground spider and don't spin webs. They like to remain hidden and wait for prey to come near to them and then they pounce. They blend into the environment well outside, so it's hard to spot them. You may have walked right past one and never realized that it was there. They are not know to be aggressive toward humans, but don't pick them up without wearing gloves. They can enter homes, but usually they don't. I don't have them in my home because I treat the yard every 60 days, but I have seen them sometimes in homes belonging to other people. They are really scary looking if you see one in the house. They are very beneficial in that they help to reduce the presence of other bugs, so they offer natural pest control. So, even though they are very scary looking, you are not supposed to kill them. I leave them alone outside, but I have a strict rule against bugs in the house. No exceptions. We also have huntsman spiders and daddy long legs here too. I don't like them either. Again, I leave them alone outside. Of course, they cannot survive in my yard. My entire yard is pretty much pest free. It's a kill zone for bugs.
