But yeah, sometimes I have that problem where I will lose interest in what I'm reading, that's why I read three books at once so I can switch over to another one of the three books if I decide I want to set down the current one.

When u stop reading a book for so long that when you read it again you had to restart bc u forgot everything
I don't technically DNF books. If I get bored or really don't want to read it (usually 50-100 pages in) I'll just skim read the rest or put it down for a little while, but I always finish it eventually.

I DNFed "The Goblet of Fire" the fourth time I read It because my father said I had to read other books. And that's how little nine year old me finally realized you can own more than one book.

The best example I have is "The mark of Athena" I loved it and then heard that "The blood of Olypus" doesn't have a chapter with Annabeth's or Percy's P.o.V. ...

😂😂 I had to stop reading A Thousand Pieces of You, and I didn't pick it up for another two years. Then, two years later, for some weird reason I felt this overwhelming determination to read this book and I'm so glad I did because it was A Thousand times better the second time around. :)

Unfortunately for me its throne of glass, right now. Typical case of not being interested enough. I'm now debating with myself what to do. Everyone says its amazing, but I just don't feel like reading it right now...
Alexa M I would wait to read them and see if you'd be interested again. Maybe return next September when the final book comes out so that if you do end up liking the series, you can just binge read them all!

It's my favourite series of all time! When i first read it, I loved the first two books but looking back on it now, the proper plot doesn't really start until Heir of Fire, the plot of Throne of Glass seems very unrelated (until you start finding out lots more details later on) so I get what you mean but it gets so much more into the fantasy later on! And totally worth it, in my personal opinion :)
My most recent book that dropped into the dnf zone was Paper Towns. I don't know, I liked the first half, but it's been like 50 pages since anything has happened and I just lost interest

I haven't really DNF'ED that many books, only ones I've ever DNF'ed are Daughter of Smoke and Bone (but I'll give it another go, cause I felt like I judged it unfairly) Wastelands (just too much stress) Kill or Be Killed Vol 1 (its actually in process of finishing, but I got too aggravated) and Miss Peregrines (I'm sorry Jesse)

I was reading Fenrir when my order of Interview with a Vampire came in. It had beautiful ink too. I dropped Fenrir at ‘Part II’, read Interview with a Vampire in maybe a week or two, and returned to Fenrir. Trying to remember what was going on aside, I have no regrets.

TRB put me in a reading slump at first because it's quite slow. In the end I finished all four on audiobook. It's so good, Will Patton did such a good job on those. So if you can't seem to push through, maybe give those a go? :)
The Raven Boys has been in the DNF zone for me for the past three years because it's confusing at first, but I got through the confusing part and finished the entire series in a week! It's now one of my favourite series of all time, it took me out of a massive reading slump and I would 100% recommend reading on.

“IT” by Stephen King, I got really far into it then just lost all interest in 1 second. I tried to force myself to read it because I didn’t want to leave a book unfinished, but that just caused a reading slump. Now that book is collecting dust on my shelf where it will probably sit for eternity😂😂

I say leave it there. I personally enjoyed it, but didn't like the next 2 books at all. So if you already lost interest in this one, I wouldn't want to you waste time on more books that you probably won't like, when you could be reading your next favourite book.

First 2 months of the semester, I'm good, I'm reading. Then, "hey mid- terms are coming. Oh it's finals week! Let's just leave this book here until winter break." So here I am, on winter break, trying to get back into reading 😂😃🤗😣😕😢
