This video is a 15-minute orientation to visiting Yosemite National Park. For an audio described version of this video, go to • Experience Your Yosemi...
Yea! We ust jhad to go further south because of the fire. Our first hotel was in Sonora, CA and the smoke smell was crazy! So we drove an hour down to Mariposa and it was fine. It was AMAZING! i loved Yosemite
In Brazil, we have beautiful ecological reserves in the equatorial, tropical and subtropical forests, but nothing that compares to the parks of North America! No Brasil, temos belas reservas ecológicas nas florestas equatoriais, tropicais e subtropicais, mas nada que se compare aos parques da América do Norte!
Im from the Netherlands, and i want to visit the USA one day and Yosemite Park will be on my visit list..maybe i will only go to the US for Yosemite. Its so beautifull its a real piece of heaven on earth. Added it on my bucketlist ; )
Yosemite is one of those places that keeps calling you back. My next trip to Yosemite is only 2 months away, and I can't wait!!! Let's talk about the video "Experience Your Yosemite". I have had this movie on my iPod for over a year now, and watch it often. Not only does this vid have great visuals, but it also features one of the best vocal talents of today, the tremendously talented Vannessa Hart. Ken Burns is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. The National Parks are indeed "America's Best Idea"!!!
I just got back from my vacation to yosemite. Yosemite is very nice in the winter. Was my first time and hopefully not my last. I really want to visit yosemite in the spring
Love watching this video time and time and time again to remind me of a place that was once my home and is now a play ground once or twice a year. Does anyone know the name of the song/artist used?
yeah i was in san francisco and was at Hawaii in 2010. i think we stayed at a hamton(?) or hilton(?) something that started with an "h" if i remember correctly
The Bus system in the valley is fantastic. There's little reason to move your car once you've parked at your hotel or campsite. Plus it's included in the admission price of the park, so there's no additional fees!
Typical clueless, heartless interlopers. To be able to hear the stories of the original family and clans that enjoyed living in this Heaven for hundreds if not thousands of seasons is truly profound. The ruthless manner in which they we're evicted and how hard they struggled to keep their homeland intact is sincerely hard breaking. It always made visiting the Indian village center somewhat awkward feeling for me. Yes, this would never stop one from paying homage to God's Real Temple, but still somehow while doing so 2hold some reverence in one heart for the first souls who loved an cared for this masterpiece of God's Creation.
@antwonw That's interesting. I backpacked Tuolumne for many years and probably murdered the pronunciation. I pronounced it like she did in the video and I also have to look it up every time I try to spell it- lol. How do you pronounce it? Is it one of these: * too-AH-lum-ee with accent on 2nd syllable and the "n" is silent * Or is it like twall-lum-KNEE ?
I love this video. It covers the park very well. Only thing is...did they send the script off to someone to read it, because the lady mispronounces several places. Tuolumne and Wawona for two. Those two just bugged me since I lived in Wawona and worked in the park for 4 years. Other than that, great movie.
Yosemite Park,...Yosemite park, you can swim, you can swim. The Ranger's heat the water, the ranger's heat the water,.......ha ha ha. ha ha ha. Yosemite Park, Yosemite park, you can hike, you can hike. All the trail's go downhill, all the trail's go downhill, ha ha ha. ha ha ha. i was a Junior Ranger every summer during 70's 80's and we would sing that song.
There are so many such beautiful places in the USA.. back in India, people have destroyed most of the wilderness and converted it into polluted agricultural/industrial land. A lot of Americans do not appreciate the greatness of this great great great absolutely wonderful country. So beautiful and makes you fall in love immediately.
@yosemitenationalpark Does anybody know the names of the locations between 6:50 and 7:20 in the video? The name of the lake at 7:00 in? Perhaps one of the McCabe lakes?
@sparkysports It's pronounced like too-AH-lum-ee. The accent is on the second syllable, and the "n" is silent. (Sources: jrabold DOT net/yosemite/faqs.htm | answers DOT com/topic/tuolumne-river )
yosemitenationalpark Thanks, I saw one of them when I was there and didn't know if it was a wolf or something. I never managed to film it and was really disappointed.
The Narrator, Vanessa Hart, does a wonderful job, with her beautiful voice. Best narrator I have ever heard. A woman's voice is such a nice and pleasant change. Men's almost all sound alike. Boring. :)
If I may, I would like to ask that one video tour be made of the main market / souvenir shop. It would show the seeds, clothing , art , food and gear that can be bought once there. I have spent weeks at a time on many occasions in many parts of Yosemite . Visitors need to know that they do not have to bring so much. I am David J. Baumgartner , @Bumpyknight on Twitter.
It's is spelled 'it's'. 'You is capitalized at the beginning of a sentence. 'Yosemite' is capitalized because it's a proper noun. There's a period after 'retarded'. Do you have any more useful comments?
Yosemite is a United States "National" Park. Cared for by the People of the United States. It has nothing to do with the United Nations, Mr. Bobby Bob!!
I have so many amazing memories of the year I lived there. And of the time I got to hang glide from Glacier Point.
You lived in Yosemite for a year? Tell us more!
We were in Yosemite when Fabio made this video. Started talking to him and hiked a bit with him. Wonderful memory.
At the top our bucket list. So so beautiful!
Just got back. Such an incredible place. Tons of waterfalls early in the season! And the sequoias -- oh my!
Yosemite has a piece of my soul.
You and me both! Absolutely love Yosemite.
Loved going there last May. Miss it already. Will be back one day.
Visiting there while on vacation, heard its pretty nice
Such a great video. Really excites you into wanting to visit.
one weekend isnt enough!
it's just so glorious. Thank you!
Yosemite - nothing compares to you! Our God is an awesome God!

Amazing production, it makes me want to visit for a week on every season.

A magnificent video. I've been there twice, but that's not nearly enough. I will be back!!!!!
That was a damn fine video. It's not gonna win any awards, but dang that was a fine video. Thanks for making it, I know it's rather old.

For those asking about the opening song, it's called "The Century" on the American Landscapes album by Network Music Ensemble.
i miss this place...i was there for the first time this summer
If you haven't experienced this place on earth in person..... You need to go......Put it on your bucket list!!!
Can't wait to go here!

I miss it over there! Wish I could go back to being a child in my oversized boots...
;_; beautiful
Saying that the native practices are a portal to the past is a textbook definition of erasure. Native Americans are still here and still practicing.

Where did you find that fantastic music? I would like to buy a copy.
btw: Awesome videos. Keep em coming.
I bet Ken Burns used it on his National Parks series. Sounds like something he would use.
I'm going there in 26 days!!!
Did you go ?

"Your Yosemite"? Yosemite is owned by the UN.
Yosemite is owned by the AMERICAN people.......dumbass.....
Susan Plain you couldn't be more wrong. do some research before you (immaturely) go calling people names.

Maybe "You" need to do your research!
Lol! America owns the UN.
My little grammar and spelling genius, it's not dosent. It's 'doesn't'.
Get an education.
thumbs up if GTA V brought you here
