These guys were consummate musicians and amazing entertainers. I saw them live in 74 or 75 and they blew me away. It wasn't until I got older until I understood how talented they were to a man.

Loved Sha Na Na. The skits were corny & the gold stretch pants were tight. The music was unforgettable & I still listen to it today. Don't regret it, you gave us very good memories.

You'll have to ask Johnny Contardo how tight the gold stretch pants really were, and the skits were corny, funny, and outrageous!

I met them in Scituate Harbor mass. In the 70s they where walking down at the waterfront. They where in town for a show. I yelled a cross the st. Hey Bowser Hey Lenny!!. The all waved back. Great times

We did a decent job with most of the songs chosen. But the lame writing was beyond any of our control. Once we'd signed the production deal, we were the clay and they were the potters. File under life-long regrets. (The curse of course came with its blessing -- staying bookable ever more.)

That sucks that they had so much control, but it was 4 years to get a lifetime of bookable gigs. The other thing that came out of it was life long fans, and the show gave people a lot of laughs, and what we can salvage of the shows we can still enjoy today, and my grandkids are fans too.

I for one am happy for the show, I would have never known about yooz guys otherwise

I would say more than decent. Very good job on many various songs. Being portrayed as goofballs and hoodlums led to some not realising how good of musicans Sha Na Na were.

The songs are what I remember...can’t remember the other stuff...I was really young and still love the music.

You guys had more talent than many if not most of the crap we've been 'blessed' with since.

There's no questions that the sketches were cringeworthy, but they introduced teenage me to the music of Gershwyn, Berlin, Rogers and Hammerstein, etc. I was a sponge for that stuff.
