Who else loved watching Peewee's Big Adventure? He was a big part of my childhood and it was wonderful to see his bike in person.
This guy right here. 😉
Yes great movie grew up watching him
We did !
Me! I saw it, when it was first released. I just watched it again last night.🤣
“Bikes not for sale, Fran-cyst”. Loved that movie as a kid
Thank you!
FANTASTIC
Awesome bikes thanks I enjoyed watching 👍
This was a nice look at historic bikes.
What a fun place And so many cool bikes
Thanks for listing the music. xoxoxo
JP I am so happy to see you back!!!
Great job on CZcams video
Wow!!! You stirred up some great memories riding my stingray styled bike with banana seat and tassels from early 70's. And you're right! -- Sensory overload!😀 So many cool bikes!! I loved the Cheetah purple leopard-print; the Yellow Submarine Beatles bike; the Star Wars Storm Troopers bike; the Donald Duck bike; the Renovo lacquered wood frame bike; and several more! Also cool were the whimsical items, like the electric ride Horse from a grocery store; the dinosaur statue of Cera the Triceratop from Land Before Time movie; and of course -- the trains! The vintage G-scale and the train on the tracks around one of the rooms. Main star was the Pee Wee Herman bike. Wow!! Even better than I remember from the Big Adventure movie! -- Outstanding tour of Bicycle Heaven!! Thank-you for bringing us along!🚲🚴♂💙💙💙
Love the rainbow room with all the lights
That was pretty neat. Like a little club room.
Amazing museum! I loved seeing the Pee-Wee Herman bike!
So incredible to see in person.
You never disappoint, you find the best odd items, amazing! What could be next, who knows, can’t wait!
Haha, thanks
I worked at this Industrial Park earlier in the year never knew Pee Wee Herman's bike was in there or any of the other stuff. I'm gonna go see it today. I didn't know it was that big inside
Amazingly wonderful bike, the Bowden spacelander I've never seen so many in one place.
You always show the BEST videos!
My favorite room was the black light room! Really COOL!
When I was 8 or 9 for one of those B-D's, I got to pick out a bike. I picked a purple, three speed up on the high handle bars. And a banana seat with 60's, big peddle flowers on it with a white background! I can't remember what brand. At the time I wanted something with gears & a banana seat. Those were really the in thing.
We would put a playing card, clipped on by a clothespin on the rear wheel. Remember that? So it would make noise, when the spokes hit it.
Then around that time they had a plastic, fake looking motorcycle motor that ran on batteries. That you clapped down on the frame by you knee area. You then could turn it on or off. To makes a motorcycle sound. My sister and I got one. They were the coolest thing to have. Better than a playing card, for sure!
We rode our bikes all the time.
Thanks for the fun video! Sorry, if my story was to long. Love you, my friend!
I do remember the playing card. Used to think we were the coolest having that sound effect.
This is one of those videos you must see to believe. The true bicycle heaven. 😳 WOW.
You said it!
Pee Wees Big Adventure..Classic
Those bigger seats we called them Banana seats. Those futuristic bikes are awesome.
Keeping all those bike tyres inflated and in good order...mind blowing
Wow six thousand ..that was amazing! Loved the 1930s bikes and the 70s love to have the pin ball machine and the happy days lunchbox 🥰
Such a great cool video. Thanks for sharing this. Planning a trip there soon
Loved my banana seat , purple Schwinn !
Thanks,. Brought back a lot of memories as a mid 60's -70's kid 👍🇺🇸
that is so cool. i have never seen so many before. thanks for showing.
Mind blowing with how many they have
Omg this place is amazing thank you for sharing it with us
Anytime 😊
All of those 1930s and 1940s bikes are my personal favorites. They have character after all these years and are to this day stylish and unique.
They are truly unique
That was one awesome bicycle shop. My favorite by far is the gray ghost by Schwinn. 👍🏼
It's a sweet lookin bike
That place is something else! I could easily be in there looking at those bikes for hours. Some of those bikes, I had no idea that some of these model bikes even existed. It was cool to see the Peewee bike as well. Thank you for showing us this bike museum.
You ain't kidding. It was so ridiculously overwhelming, but awesome at the same time. To see the pee wee bike was just too cool. I think you'd love it.
Those stick shifts on the karate bikes are very rare and valuable
I couldn't believe the prices on some of them. The bandit bike is probably worth a small fortune.
@@JPVideos81 really a cool place you found here, definitely enjoyed this one
Thanks...interesting and fun.
Glad you had fun
Banana seat! Is the long seats.
Love the video. I was an avid cyclist until the pandemic hit. I rode bike tours in different states. I was able to ride 23 states before the pandemic .❤️
Pretty Incredible. Not many people can say that.
I don’t know how anyone could decide!! I liked The Marilyn Monroe bike and loved the glow in the dark green!! This was a fabulous place to visit, thank you!!! 💖🚴♀️💙🚴♂️💖🚲💙
The glow room and bike was very cool 😎
My childhood bike was a 1970s lime green Schwinn with a silver glitter banana seat. 😁 🖤💛
Never seen so many banana seats in one place in my life😁😊💙
Loads of 🍌 🍌 🍌 seats 😁
Great time thru here brought back so many memories from my youth LoL! Lots of very strange and interesting bikes and oddities. Thank you for filming this one and sharing! Really enjoyed it, Well Done!❤
There's so much I missed, but I didnt know where to look lol. Will have to return in the future.
Cool
That’s too cool for school JP! Love to see different kinds of bikes as well as the evolution of the bicycle. Could you do a motorcycle museum? I love those too. I love the early 70s muscle bikes. Came in the colors of the muscle cars of the day. You could get your Plum Crazy Purple etc.
Check out my videos on Bills old bike barn. It's mostly motorcycles.
This places has left me absolutely speechless as well! And one more place to add to my list of reasons to visit Pittsburgh soon. WOW!!! My bicycle was a huge part of my childhood, and I still love to ride even though I don't get out as often as I should. I didn't see my childhood bike in there anywhere, though it wouldn't surprise me if it was there somewhere. Like you said, there's just too much to take in. I think I saw one or two like my sister's childhood bike in there. Neat that you found some trains too, I'd love to see that Santa Fe run around that elevated layout. I absolutely need to visit this place!
You'd love this place without a doubt. Hope you get to check it out. Better book a Pittsburgh trip soon lol
I love the purple cheetah bike
What an awesome & interesting video! Great find! 🚴
Have you ever visited this place?
@@JPVideos81 unfortunately, no….I never knew it existed!
@@sherrieh2062 now that you know, I recommend a visit.
Wow, what an amazing place. I saw they have the bike I had as a kid; Schwin Orange Crate. Loved that bike (got stolen). Thanks Jay, who would have ever guessed such a place existed. 👍
That's awesome that you found your bike! With the value they now have, I bet you wish you still had it. Thanks for checking out Bicycle Heaven with me.
Wow ! Amazing bikes ....I do wonder if the staff dreams about bicycles ? ( it is so orderly and clean ...well done, Bicycle Heaven ! ) . Love the old bikes in the tree trunk ...reminds me of your abandoned videos . Thank you for sharing the fun : }
The tree bikes were so interesting. I also wonder how they keep everything dust free.
@@JPVideos81 it crossed my mind that it was a feather dusters nightmare in that place LOL
the coolest place i have Ordered stuff from this place before but have never been or seen in side before and wow love it
Hope you get to check it out sometime
Brings back memories of all of us riding our bikes in the sixties. We made our bikes into choppers ape hangers and all. We must have road thousands of miles .the bikes you talked about I remember. Good old days growing up.Great video thanks.
The days when life was simpler
My first two bikes as a kid had banana seats. Both had ape hangers too. First one was a 12" wheel with coaster brake and the other was 20" with a 3 speed lever shifter on the top tube. After that it's been mountain bikes for me.
Must of been fun bikes to ride
@@JPVideos81 they were. They were heavy by today's standards, but they survived some pretty heavy duty use.
Loved the video, those older bikes, wish I still had mine. 1940s Western Auto. Pretty blue color, a man gave me after his daughter out grew it.
Banana seats those long narrow ones.
To many to pick a favorite.
Outstanding, thank you so much for sharing that. Part of me actually wants to visit Pittsburgh again. But I was a little disappointed that there were no recumbents or especially BikeE's.
Hi Jay. Awesome video. I enjoyed seeing all the bikes. I also remember the banana seat from back in the day.
Would love to take some of them for a ride.
I can't imagine why they needed 13 or 13 of these for the movie. He wasn't a stunt man or dare devil
I thought it was in the basement of the Alamo 🤔 great place! Awesome video JP! Thanks for bringing us along!
Haha
My first independent bike was a royal blue Huffy Stingray. I rode the tires off it...lol
😁
Jay,😁😁
Looking around that fantastic place and your excellent videos, especially the P.R. one
tells me you had the situation well in hand.
I really glad your persevered and stuck it out for the whole experience.
Cheers,
Rik
Thanks Rik
those long seats on the 70s bikes are called Banana seats
My wife and I have been to this place and what JPVideos is showing us in this CZcams clip in no way does it justice. Don't get me wrong it's just a place that you must go and see for yourself it's just the meca for bike enthusiastics. Sorry for my spelling and grammar but this video is bringing back so many memories. Thanks again for the video JP keep up the great work. Sincerely Mike Ontario Canada.
You said it. Must see in person!
What can I say I enjoy watching this video second time around and it was awesome to see a couple of bikes that I was around in my time especially the Oreo bicycle wow what a find plus swings amazing thank you once again thank you JP love this video wish I could go there but thank you for taking me through there take care see you on your next video
I'm glad I found this place and was able to share it with everyone.
@@JPVideos81 thank you once again JP I cannot wait to see what you have next plan for all your viewers see you on your next video and next adventure
This is fun! Thank you for the adventure! I remember my bike...haven't seen the model yet but it is fun to see all
There's too many to see. I didnt know there were so many options.
Thanks, JP. My wife and I just watched this and found it really interesting. Especially the postmaster's bike. This is nice new content and I believe this sort of thing can really take off. Too many bikes to really pick a favorite!! We loved this so much we watched it twice. Have a great day.
The postmasters bike was one of my favorites as well.
Hi there! Loving this vid! My hubby's fave bikes were a Scout 10 speed & a Rollfast....my sisters & I had a Schwinn girls bike we called the banana boat cause we painted it yellow with all kinds of 1960s decos. It was a second hand store bike.
Would be fun to customize a bike just for yourself.
Interesting place 🤔
The futuristic bikes are Bowden Spacelanders , with about 15k a copy.
Wow, neat place! Looks like you need GPS to find your way around! @29:54, I had a "motorcycle" very much like that one when I was a kid. Not very fast, but fun to ride. It's basically just a frame with a pump engine on it. Lot of other great bike history here.
Must of been a fun ride. Gps would definitely help navigate this place.
Something tells me that one of those 4 bikes would go for more than $55,000 on eBay now (of course it would properly be sold through an auction house such as Sotheby's…). $1 million?
I didn't see my childhood bike. My grandpa owned a bike shop when I was a kid and my first bike was put together from several different bikes by my grandpa!!! So I didn't expect to see it in the bicycle heaven!!!
I enjoyed this so much Jay 💙💙💙 I've not seen that many bikes in one place before!!! Thank you so much for sharing and thank you for all the time and work you put into your vids!!! This was awesome!!!
Jay, take care, stay safe and God bless you!!!
Pretty awesome to have a bike shop in the family. A custom made bike by your grandfather is the best kind. Glad you enjoyed the video.
@@JPVideos81 yeah it was awesome and I loved that bike 💙💙💙 Sadly he passed in 1980 but had gave up the bike shop in the early 1970's, just a few years after making my bike. He and a couple of my uncles built a shop near his home and just worked on lawn mowers till he wasn't able to do so anymore!
Omg!!!! Memory lane!!!! I was born in 66 and oh my goodness I saw so many bikes either I had from 71 and 72 or other family had early 70s. I loved my banana seat...the most comfortable seat to me lol.. I remember that bandit bike...lol. Wow! I was looking for my bike from 77 or 78. Can't remember for sure the year but it was a burnt orange schwinn 10 speed with black seat and grips. Unfortunately I didn't see it but I bet it's there 🤔somewhere 😆 Don't even get me started on black lights...I have one over my bed now and about 10 lava lamps thru the house. 1970s blacklight posters put today's to shame😆🤣😂 I wish I had room I would set up my own 70s museum. By the way you are correct about the headlight. The faster you went the brighter it got. When I was growing up chopper motorcycles were the rage. We had plenty of them in my family. When bikes came out they were built to look like motorcycles. Kids wanted chopper bikes or any motorcycle looking bike because they thought bikers looked so cool on their motorcycles. Love this journey down memory lane. ✌
Those banana seats do look comfortable 🙂
As a kid in my neighborhood, we called them Banana Bikes.
ye man bannanna seat!
WOW! This was an impressive place so glad you took us here. I will re watch it as I know I missed alot first time. I was about 8-10 yrs when I got my first bike not trike. It was a Murray and a teal color. My Dad show me everything about a bike-how to fix a flat and change a tire and how to adjust brakes and put the chain back on if it falls off and how to oil up things. He got me a small can of carnuba wax (smelled so good) and a chamois to keep it clean and waxed nicely. Show me how to clothespin the stiff playing cards to the spokes for cool noise LOL. We lived in regular neighborhood in the 60s and rode every day after school and all weekends. Fast forward I guess I was about 20 had left home and decide I want a 10 speed like was all the rage then so I went to a Schwinn store and that was my first ever application and accepted for a loan. The beginning of credit. Fast forwards like 10 years and next bikes were for my kids who are now 42 and 51- a BMX and a Beach Cruiser. Then next venture was to Schwinn about 8 years ago for bikes for my 3 granddaughters who are now 11 13 and 17 years old. The bikes lay dusty and unused for a few years now on the covered patio. This video brought me so many memories and some tears. xoxo
Thanks so much for sharing those memories 💙
Oh my God I thought I went to by Kevin thank you for taking me to that trip my world of bike heaven and I always wonder what happened to Pee-Wee's bike now I see where it is bike heaven wow thank you JP that was very interesting I don't know how you keep finding this amazing stuff thank you for this trip I enjoy it all of it and I'm going for around two of watching this video thank you again JP and I'll see you on your next video and next adventure take care bye for now
I saw a video where someone put a steering wheel on the bike many many months ago. I unfortunately don't remember who it was, but it's impressive in a way that the idea would have existed decades ago. Man if I ever get out to that area (although ATM I don't forsee it since I'm all the way in the Wyo/Colo area), I definitely need to make a stop.
Pretty cool idea with the steering wheel. Pittsburgh has lots to offer and it's actually pretty affordable.
I had a turquoise bike with a banana seat and white and turquoise handlebar streamers.
Banana seat
Yes it’s bigger than the Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen, Ohio
I have a huffy bandit wish i could find out more info on the gypsy and the rv bike
You can contact the business and inquire
More Bowden Spacelanders than anywhere on the planet. I think I counted more than 10. I’ve never seen more than 1 anywhere. Gotta wonder total value of this collection.
Wow, that place is incredible! It brought back so many cool memories! The stormy night hallway was like a little haunted house area, lol that was so neat! The bike tree is another one of those things that makes you think about the story behind when was the last time the bikes were left there. This makes me wish I would have kept my first bike! The PeeWee Herman bike is amazing too, and yes, I have seen Peewee's Big Adventure! I can't choose a favorite, I liked so many! lol Awesome video JP, thank you so much!
So many different rooms and so many bikes. Lol
Pee Pee Herman little adventure in Sarasota movie theater
I actually built my own X-1 bike!! Got a video of it on my channel!!!
If this guy put this collection for sale up at once he would collapse the market
Rip
Great video what an awesome place I've been collecting bikes since early 90s big time in the muscle bikes my favorite bike out of that whole place is probably the krate bikes I would love Schwinn apple krate but to get one now you got a deep dig into your wallet lol
I was surprised at the value these bikes hold.
Gitane, pronounced from French, Zhi-tonn
Never would of guessed that. Thanks
That probably wasn't "wood on the inside" of that rim. It's a tubular tire rim. The inner tube is sewn inside the casing of the tire, and the whole thing was glued inside the metal rim, often by a putty colored glue. If you notice, the rim doesn't have a recess to hold the bead of a tire.
It was nice that it wasn't a nonstop parade of high priced competition bikes but at 30:20, it was cool to see that Klein Quantum Race and Colnago Titanium frame, those were some serious racers.
go back and focus onjust bmx.put bmx in your description, youll have so many more views
That is a fake replica Pee Wee Herman bike.
I’d like to see Elaine and Kramer’s bike!! 😂
Also, my Pee-Wee bike is for sale for ONLY $10,000. Hahaha
