It just really sucks that we never got to see Proof's evolution as an artist and as a person, he was already so good and underrated, can't imagine how much he would've improved over time. RIP to Proof man.

I haven't heard this song in many many many years, Proof was sooo underrated.
when he tells denaun he's proud of him at the end, that always gets me emotional. denaun and proof, as much as they love each other, they used to fight a lot. denaun has talked about it several times (even last year) and how they'd have big fights and i believe he didn't even want to be in the room with him a lot when they were making d12 world. so that line always gets me... the fights didn't matter, he loved him and was proud of him no matter what.

Eminem eulogized Proof with a couple songs, one called “Difficult” which was unreleased until leaked to the public (meaning maybe you won’t want to listen to it) and officially in Recovery with “You’re Never Over”.
This is one of those songs that you put on when you feel truly alone, away from all your real homies. Feelin like you got no one to just be you with. Reminds you of all the shit that really matters.
