French is BY FAR my fav character. Everything he does cracks me up. 😂
Same
I fully agree, French is so funny!😂
Same
@@harshitgk1099😂❤🇨🇵
everything they all do cracks me the heck up.
His intelligence to find humour in and the characterization of languages is amazing. His acting matches his intelligence.
Loic is so good at this. I love how you sometimes almost forget he's playing all the characters.
same
A real trailblazer in language learning. His methods are original and brilliant but best of all fun.
“She looks like a fat phoque!” Got me rolling of my bed
As an Italian who has words for the day after tomorrow (dopodomani), and the day before yesterday (altroieri), it's good to know that not only Italians find it weird that these words are missing in other languages.
Yes! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thats exactly the same in German :)
Après-demain et avant-hier in French XD
time out. Wer germans has words for the day after tomorrow ( übermorgen ) and the day befor yesterday ( vorgestern ) . But i as an arabic speaking person, i am used to weird ways, spelling things and finding words
In Spanish we have like half of the whole set. We have "antier" which is short for "anteayer" (before-yesterday) but we just say "pasado mañana" (past tomorrow).
That laugh after “la table” was the most menacing thingZ
This guy is geniuuss😂😂😂😂😍😍😍😍Been addicted to him for over a month now!!
Yep 🤣
Jj
Same!
Same here.
Me Too!!! ¡¡¡Yo Tambien!!!
I just can`t get enough of this guy! Love him to bits.
he does such good acting that the languages really feel like different people
This cracked me up, because the one where they were making the r sound, my 1st grade French teacher told us to almost choke ourselves to make the sound! And he presented it as choking yourself! 🤣
can't watch this at work ....nope , I'm in tears ...
I love when he talks in English
Introducing universal language was a genius idea
2:49
I LAUGHED SO HARD-
this guy is amazing, his capability to make me laugh so hard my dad hears me laughing from downstairs...
As a native spanish speaker the very first tiktok had me wheezing
i am dying of laughter
Instead of watching the short ones over and over again - we can watch this compilation! I enjoyed it so much AGAIN!!
So good! Learned more about French than in school in 4 years. 🙂
Maybe it's just me, but I think this guy is a total riot! I've seen him in those tiktok snippets, which fly by so fast you only pick up half of what's going on. This 15 min segment is so much better. His punchlines are so unexpected! I haven't laughed that hard in years! I even caught le garcon francais when he mentioned the French verb "bifler"! Juste pour rire!
Encore!
Grosse phoque is fat seal!
I soooo luurve Loïc and his vids, as a english and French speaker I have to say French is my absolute favourite 😍😍😍 "piscine" myself laughing!!!!!
also that wonderful time when french is telling to English which stories he was about to tell to kids like sheets on the bed and something about a little beach 😁😁😁😁🤣
12:49 in the DDR, bananas were called "Schlauchapfel", which loosely translates to hose-apple😂
Noch nie stand ich so sehr im Konflikt zwischen "Sag mir dass das ein Witz ist" und "Sag mir dass das kein Witz ist".
@@michaelt.5672 fühl ich😂 Ist aber keiner
The word “soccer” originated in England, and was originally used to differentiate association football from its rugby cousin. Just as rugby football was shortened to “rugger”, the game of association football became known as “soccer” thanks to a shortening of the word “association”.😊
Löic, your sense of humor it's fantastic! I'd like to see some scenes with Italian language. Italians don't pronounce the "h" so instead of say "heating" they say "eating"... And what to say about "th"? Instead of "thank you" they say "tank you"... Now I feel like your french guy, tank you
Lmao I just realized how handsome this dude actually is on top of funny ah! Lucky chap
omg im laughin like never before. so good
I’ve only just seen these and think they are wonderfully written & performed!
These videos are all hilarious. Love the sense of humor.
They actually do have a word for the day after tomorrow, it is called "overmorrow"
I love the last clip when Loic was laughing at determining it as fe-male. I was dying XD
This guy is hilarious and into the same absurd language jokes that I like. I lived in Paris for a year and bought an expensive book of absurd French idioms that translate into humorous English. Most of my French friends had never heard them.
Every language I'm like YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!! 👏😂🤣 GENIUS showing their personalities as a memory aid! I learned vocab by making silly stories about the words, but your videos are so much better!
Funny how in the skits, french steal names from english, when it's most likely the opposite.
He is amazing
4:34 i laughed so hard 😂😂😂
You are just BRILLIANT Loic 👍💯✔😁💟
Today you learned strawberries are called strawberries because they are cultivated in beds of straw.
Close.
10:05 Ok, I am going to be 100% honest...
I thought silverfish only existed in minecraft until I watched this video.
This guy is brilliant !
the one of not having a word for day after tomorrow but having words for insanely specific shit that people will never use is so funny, at least Norway has a word for day after tomorrow so you can’t make fun of us for that
yes, "overtomorrow" :)
@@malinikolineklauseth oh so like German: übermorgen 😁
Um... the reason we still have words for the insanely specific shit is that people do use them ... I suspect because they think they're funny.
Hey, don't blame English for "defenestrate/defenestration", we stole that word from Middle French _'défenestrer'_ 😜
(Granted, in French it didn't specifically mean tossing _people_ out the window. But the only reason _we_ used it that context either was because a bunch of religious nuts in 1618 Prague were actually doing just that to their opposition & we needed a word to gossip about the scandal with 😉. It was too many words I suppose to say "they bounced the Bishop out the upstairs window" 😆)
I'm french and we still use this word nowadays, and it also means throwing someone out the window.
That thing in Prague wasn't really about 'religious' nutcases but about (violent) rebellion against religious oppression despite the oppressing sovereign being bound by royal decree to honour the freedom of religion.
So ... while there certainly were religious nuts on both sides, it really was more of a political thing in the end.
Note: despite being flung from a window and falling dozens of meters, all the people survived because they landed in a heap of trash.
Agreed. Absolutely a genius
I had no idea about the talkie-walkie. that one is killing me XD
14:55 I love french's evil laugh!
I love how French sometimes acts like a freaking evil genius, but the next moment, he 's a stupid toddler.
French: "Hey, English, I need you help!" 🤓
Also French: 14:46
One word for it: BRILLIANT !
Talentosisimo y adorable.
I had to pause at 3:15 I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath and tears made it so I couldn't see. You are the best!
I love this guy's humour and he is so realistic in the words lol. My favorite character is French 100% lol.
I learn so much from these whilst dying of laughter/ The thing I was most confused was when he said the black berries and strawberries arent berries at all and that bananas are.
I love it!
dude i'm trying to learn French and you're killin' me! :D
Je suis d'origine Franco-Australien et je m'identifie à 1000% dans tes vidéos XD
Continue, c'est génial !
In Swedish: "our spring is every world" (which doesn't make a lot of sense, but hey) translates to: "vår vår var varje värld."
ahahahaah love youuuu!!!!
Fun fact: although Brits often ridicule Americans for using the term "soccer", the _English_ are the ones who invented the word. You see, the full name of soccer is "association football", as opposed to "rugby football" (rugby) and "gridiron football" (American football). So, in order to give soccer a short name like rugby has, the English took the "soc" from "association" and added the Oxford "-er". The major difference is that soccer became more popular than rugby in most English-speaking countries, while gridiron became more popular in the United States.
🤣🤣🤣 🤣 khrrrrrr...khrrrr... khrrrr
It is silver fish (silverfisk) in Swedish too. When I was a kid I thought people were talking about actual fish.
In German its the same :)
French. I love you man😂
"La table" & "Pain de mis" must be shown to every student. This video will help me remember them forever.
Omg,lmfao!!!!
ESO ES 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know but it gives me the vibes like if french was the baby brother out of the three, also the one I most like too
If the fly hadn't had wings, it would have been called a "walk"! 😁
I love how normal daily things don't have a name yet but technology like laptops are a thing. Getting some Ryan George vibes😅
That is exactly how the French came up with the “r” sound. I say this as someone who half French. 😂😂😂
In the Netherlands we do have a word for the day after tomorrow. It's "overmorgen"
Interestingly when I go to Google translate and translate "overmorgen" to English it says "the day after tomorrow" so there really isn't just one short word for it in English.
There used to be - "overmorrow". Unfortunately it fell out of usage.
I think there is a word in every language besides these two. Strange how it could fell out of usage.
Also ereyesterday
Universal is out here about to defenestrate himself 😭
Je t'adore ! merci...
i love this guy so much i can't take it
As regards "table", French is right! It IS of the female persuasion, as Spanish, Romanian and Portugues can confirm! And then there's Italian who says: "no way, a table is male".
Ehm sorry but German also agrees that the table is male
Der Tisch
@@karma4free106 In Hebrew it alternates if it's plural 🤦🏻♂
Russian is also completely sure it’s male!
In Greek table is neither masculine nor feminine, it is neutral 😂😂🥇
In Poland table is also a male
This is hilarious...I also really love the french guy too
I laugh my head off with that guy! I'm from Barcelona, I speak Catalan and Spanish of course, French, English and German. I find the "French" character very funny, the others too, but that one makes me cry with laughter, with those words that are often incomprehensible to an English-speaking person.
And his Spanish with a Mexican accent is for me a delight!
When I see all this works I want to say: And Oscar goes to...
who would have tought that ASSEDIC will become OnlyFans?? iykyk!!!!😂
The tay after tomorrow. Hm… aftermorrow?
🏆
Overmorrow
I wonder who is going to win the presidential election the year after next year? Oh wait a minute. I could just add 2 years to the current year and simply say who is going to win the presidential election in 2024. Wait a minute. Just add 2 days to whatever day is the current day and just use the name of that day instead of saying "the day after tomorrow."
OMG I litterally could not stop laughing assendic😂
Learning Spanish I came up with a theory about genders. If it has a hole in it, it is generally feminine. I mentioned this to our teacher and after thinking about it for a minute or so, he started laughing and figured I might be on to something lol. At least Spanish has a workable system for genders (with some exceptions). German OTOH - nope, you have to memorize the article with the noun.
BTW, "soccer" is the original name for that sport. The US just didn't change from it like the rest of the world did (kinda like Imperial measurements versus metric).
Love your work! You always bring a smile to my face.
I'm crying here 🤣🤣🤣🤣 In Hebrew we also call the pineapple "Ananas"...
6:37 This one is pure genius!
you really don't have to make a "best of" video !! all your video are amazing :)
why the funniest one to me as a try not to laugh god laugh to this
An , an ass cracked me up.😅
Bifle haha 😆
His intelligence is spot
I like it so much that, when the translation is absurd he puts the Google Translate to prove it😂😂😂 like in "walkie talkie"
French always so happy doing stupid things, love it 🤣
Can’t wait to see the same with English like Suce=Suck, chaussettes=socks, football=soccer, ventouse=sucker, fooled=suckered…I could carry on and on…so would you do it this way a bit more as it would sound as funny…the Spanish way est excellente aussi je me marre pour toutes ces démonstrations de jeu des phonétiques !
Excellent…😂😂😂
J attend la suite , j ai deja tout regardé 2 fois 😂😂😂😂
For those who don't know about defenestration, "fenetre" is french for window, so yes, de - fenestration, is de - window - ing.
A favorite Eastern European/Russian way to get rid of a political rival, lol. I recently heard someone refer to Gandalf pulling Samwise Gamgee in through the window at Bag End as infenestrating, lol.
French cracks me up!!!
Thank you Loic for putting the whole I before E except after C rule to shame! To all who want to learn English I just want to say, ' I am soo sorry😢. ' English is my native language and even I can't believe the mind screw it must be for someone learning it.
You`re a genius!!!
:D its so awesome :)
Le passage sur la biffle est excellant 🤣
i cry a river xD thx bro u make me day
8:00 Who else sat there going "TANTE-TAN-TAN-TAN-TAN-TANTON-TANTE!!!!" LOL 😃
Kkkkkkkk
Just love your videos 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never was interested in French, never have been, until this guy.
He really called her a fat seal.
That's just makes a quite nice wordplay in Hungarian: fat seal = pufók fóka. You even can merge them playfully: pufóka what sounds cute and you could say that to a parent without offending them.
The one with the "R" (and the cheese) is my favourite. ☆♡☆
