- A little bit of historical, a fair amount of Girl of Today, an outfit that had been living on my wish list for years, and one astoundingly high quality item I wasn't even aware of - the doll shopping lately has been FANTASTIC.

I love the girl of today computer. I mostly collect outfits but there are some older accessories that have been calling to me lately, that’s definitely one of them.
Yeah, that computer was one of the things we sold and then I kicked myself for selling (we had the desk and chair, too).
You have had great luck with your big lots. So fun to see. Your collection is getting really extensive. Love seeing it.
Thanks so much! We definitely go through periods where we don't come across any good lots and that's completely fine. But when we DO decide to buy a lot, it usually is a great deal. And yeah...the collection is getting really extensive. But I just (literally just last night) finished the basement doll space I've been working on, so it feels like we have all the space we need to thoroughly enjoy all these doll goodies...as long as I keep them organized lol.
You can’t have one Girl Scout without her troop! Maybe Nicki and Isabel both want uniforms. 😊
Fair point - even if I sell it, it would be a good idea to do a photo shoot with them both in uniform!

I think so too! It's funny - I'm not really into sports (which I affectionately refer to as sportsball, regardless of the sport). But I LOVE all the athletics uniforms. On the back burner, one of my Dressing My Dolls ideas is to to do two videos - one AGOT sports outfits and one of more modern athletic outfits. :-)
Amazing haul , we got Molly's bike in a lot and I was shocked at just how heavy it was and it is soo cute!
It really is! Especially when I compared it with the flimsy plastic thing we had previously (yard sale find - MLA or Journey Girls or something)

My nephew was in Cub Scouts. I was too old for the Girl Scouts at age 12( when I moved to Fresno to live with my sister and her family). I love Girl Scouts cookies and believed I could break the record selling them, but wasn't allowed in.
In my family it was mom, dad, two brothers, and me and we had a huge family photo (professional portrait) over the sofa that was ALL FIVE of us in our scouting uniforms lol. My parents were both scout leaders and one brother became an eagle scout.
Those knitted slippers that came with Samantha's kimono are hand-knit, I believe. So cute.

I have an early Girl of Today helmet with that elastic. I just bought black elastic that matched and restrung it. It was easy and under $2. Reuse the plastic clip.
You did great on your lots. Good stuff there. I live vicariously through you. Wish I could have a collection like that, but sadly I can’t. My spouse hates my collection and wants it gone, so I can’t add any more.
elastic is also super cheap! i bought like 4 meters of thin elastic to restring an eyepatch i use sometimes and it was only $10 USD.
also coincidentally if anyone has ideas for uses for about 4 meters of elastic, send them my way
I love this idea! And I'm sorry your husband isn't a fan. The way I figure it is I bust my but keeping it all organized so it doesn't feel like it's literally "taking over" the entire house...and if I can keep it organized and in it's place (*and* stick to my budget), then no comments from the peanut gallery ;-)
LMAO - my wife sews so that's where our leftover elastic would go (doll skirt waistbands and the like)
What fun! The extra thermos in the hiking backpack is from the Ski Apres accessories.
Yes! We have that set so it was another duplicate for us (a common theme at this point in our collecting ;-)

Yes! I love "discovering" these things I'd never known about before. I didn't grow up collecting AG, but I've learned a lot in just a few years. It's so exciting learning about these earlier treasures.

Glad you enjoyed! And yeah - I know that's not as unusual for someone who has only been collecting for a few years, but given how extensive our collection is, it *is* cool to come across things I never even knew existed.
What a great haul! Unfortunately I probably won't have any good finds for a while. My laptop died so I have to focus on saving for a new one. Luckily for now I have this backup one so I can still watch your videos haha

I really like Lindsey - partly because she is the GOTY from my older daughter's birth year and partly because I LOVE her book and the fact that she was just a regular girl with no expensive hobby or prodigy-level talent in some competitive area. She just got to BE and I would welcome more of that from AG's GOTY.

Congrats on the bike! I have the trail bike, which is a little newer than yours. Still awesome quality! I thrifted it because as a kid I always wanted Molly’s bike…which I never did get. I had to satisfy that urge for a bike somehow.

This was great. So many nice items! I don't remember ever seeing Linday's computer before. That is really cool how the CD drive pops out. I believe the teal sandals and dress are separates from the 2018 summer mix and match. I love those sandals. The biker is really nice. Thanks for sharing!!

Some ppl have commented that they have Molly's or Samantha's bikes or another modern one and across the board the comments are that they're good quality. Maybe bikes are something AG has always gotten right. :-)

The hat and gloves (before Samantha's kimono) I believe go with the girl of today sugar plum coat set. Around the 2.30 time stamp.

All the AG items you showed are familiarish to me except that bunny in the cage-I don’t remember that at all! And yes that pink and white dress is Samantha’s birthday dress. It’s kind of amazing the apron, circlet and shoes are in such good condition-those items usually aren’t! Okay that lot was only $80-I think that’s pretty good but I’m sorry the outfit you wanted was incomplete but I’m glad it was okay and not something you cared too much about. Wow that bike is amazing, I hope you can find a tiny screw!!
Yeah - I would obviously have preferred to have the entire Downhill Ski outfit, but mainly I'll use it for plain old snow pictures rather than skiing shots, and I love that it's gender neutral, so I'm happy with it. And I'm confident about the screw - there are a couple hardware stores in town but one in particular is great about selling loose screws, nails, bolts, etc in every size imaginable. I'll take the screw there and cross my fingers for a match!

You got some great things I would love to collect some more of the girl of today stuff as I have almost nothing because it’s just so expensive on the secondary market buying from here in Canada for me, BTW that backpack that you got is from the backpack and laptop set from 2002 according to AG wiki I looked it up because I thought I remembered it coming with a laptop little fun fact, there was a girl sized matching backpack as well.😍

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but the purple hat and gloves at 2:22 are from the sugarplum coat, it was a girl of today outfit that was sold from 2001 and was only out until 2002.

we have the computer and desk etc. The brown shoes we have look like the ones you have. The later brown shoe has a flocked finish. The kerioki machine works without the mike just change the batteries. that ski outfit is on my wish lit also. i never saw that bike before. we have molly's bike.

A few of them have sold already (I filmed this a little while ago). Generally I sell on a FB group called American (AG) Girl Doll Obsessed BST but I'm also open to people emailing me at agtakesover@gmail.com if there's a specific item or two they're interested in.
So I could not find the backpack on AG Fandom or a Google image search, but I think it was around the same time as the bike and helmet, and all 3 were featured with the Sporty School Outfit, dated 2002-2004...if that helps. 🙂

18:33 ugh I love the stuff from that mix and match collection 😩 I went and found all the pieces recently and most were still in the packaging. It’s the Spring 2018 mix and match stuff, but only the dress and the sandals are from it. Not sure where the purse is from

Ah, what wonderful items you found! I'm eyeing a FB Marketplace lot that includes the desk with MAC computer among many other pieces, but it's $300 and an hour away from me. If I send you the link to it, maybe you could tell me if it's worth the $$ and the drive?
Anyhow, I love everything you got! I was a girl scout too, and my mom was one of the leaders 😊. I quit after juniors, didn't really like cadets.

Depends on your goal - get rid of it quicker as a lot but maybe not make as much money or get rid of it piece by piece which could take a lot longer but make more money?

If you have access to a 3d printer you could probably make another ski pole
I think in that case I'd probably print two so that they would look identical. For now, I'll just casually keep an eye out for one.

That's a really good question - I haven't had a chance to get batteries in it, but I'll try to do that soon!

LMAO yes. She knows Momma Grace's sewing machine is down there, that some toys are down there, and that the litter boxes are down there. We use the latter fact as a deterrent ;-) I know she'll find out one day and that's okay but for now it's nice not to be asked to go down there every five minutes :-)

I don't. I mostly sell on a specific FB Buy Sell Trade group: American (AG) Girl Doll Obsessed BST. We do periodic "purges" there where we list about 150 items in one evening on one post. You could join that group and let me know your FB username - that way I could add you to a tag list and you'll know when we are going to do a sale.
