It is difficult to find another real politician like you whom really cares for its citizens, which is the actual role of being a politician. Mr Low, you did not take the easy road and join the PAP to have a smooth political career. You took the path less trodden and a more perilous path to face off a titan. As a minority in Parliament, you managed to outwit and outplay the ruling party. It was a pleasant and surprise win. You did not fight a weak opponent. You rose above George Yeo and the sight of defeat in Aljuined GRC by PAP was priceless. While not at the centre stage, I really hope you will still linger around WP to impart your wisdom, your view and groom the next generation of leaders in WP. @Ayy lmao i am not judging anyone by conviction alone. However, for me, this is just how I like the politicians to be. Like you said Trump might attract certain people for his charisma and simple use of English. For me, I am attracted to LTK's persona because of certain traits that maybe some people don't have. Others might not find him that appealing, and might like other PAP guys who have different style. Its ok. We all have our different opinions

Personally I prefer JBJ's style of politics. LTK's way is too mild, too wayang. An effective opposition must be able to perform a vigilant role and ensure that government policies are for the benefits of the people. The aftermath of CECA is evidence of the lack of rigour by WP to put a stop to the damages it wrought on the lives of PMETs. Shame on the WP. To be called a PAP lite is not a compliment.

刘及工人党都表现得很好，目前的政治环境也许不可能大改变，但是如果没有反对党，会很可怕😨
自上世纪七十年代至今，国家在民生，治安，经济等多方面均有良好表现。这其間国会也不是一党独大，而是有一，二位反对党人员發展到五，六位。因此有更多的反对党並不会影影响国家的進步。甚至能从不同的角度，不同的思维去补短。比如竹脚騷乱，Covid-19， 都暴露了执政党如何看待客工的問题。
刘总功成身退弗居是最圆满的结局。为新加坡的民主进程做出的贡献已载入历史。
