I want to know how he even finds these wrecks without getting disoriented on the way down. That's a needle in a haystack at that depth. He definitely knows his shit.
I'm not taking anything away from him he definitely knows his s*** but generally over there on the west coast in the Gulf where he's diving the current isn't as bad as it is on the Atlantic side which makes it a little easier to hit those wrecks but they still get plenty of days where the current smoking
Dan you and your crew are some DEEP DIVING ANIMALS . Ya'll have some really large ball's my brother . You are without some of the craziest spear hunter's I've ever seen . I love it . God bless and stay safe and dive on brother .
Eerie stuff, soooo deep, I think China was only another 20 yards away... Chortled out loud through my nostril when you said it takes skill to shoot a fish above a hatch.., good stuff Dan thanks! Did you ever find out any history on that vessel?
Paul, it was a pretty bone headed spot to shoot him so I thought I'd poke a little fun at myself. It does make me laugh when I watch that video! Glad you enjoyed it also. Best, Dan
@@danmacmahon3973 From my armchair quarterback position, I was thinking surely he's not going to shoot it over that hatch....trigger release. I laughed. Then your statement pops up. I laughed even harder. That was an amazing dive.
Hey AA, I've made deeper dives but this one was the second deepest I got on video. I was hoping for something exotic and got a 35' fishing boat! Lol, Best, Dan
@@danmacmahon3973 to be honest w/u I really enjoy ur video some I feel scare n most of it I enjoy watching u spare fishing that deep bottom that's awesome video.
S561, the funny thing was we had dropped a couple of baits down before we dove it and caught a 70 LB Warsaw and a 20 LB Kitty. My buddy Kenny and I were all fired about the dive and I ended up only spearing a 5 LB Kitty. That's diving! Glad you enjoyed the video. Best, Dan
@@danmacmahon3973 wow that's crazy! Well sometimes I get skunked when I go in the water while whoever on the boat is catching their limit. The only difference is the experience of being in the water and the actual hunt that makes it worth it.
Orlando, those depths require Trimix and lots and lots of training. Check with a training school like TDI or others and they'll steer you in the right direction. Best, Dan
CG, you know, we kicked around the idea that it might have been an insurance job or something similar. Wish I could find some info on it, would like to know her story. Thanks for watching, Best, Dan
208, yeah I've been keeping it under 300' lately. More productive and less dangerous. Now if I find a "new" wreck in 350'-400' I'd def still dive it! Best, Dan
Bob, I've never heard of Pirates in this area, but I'm sure there have been cases of Insurance Fraud. I showed that video to an old long liner and he thought he knew who's boat it might have been, but he passed away and I didn't have any more leads. Best, Dan
TOD, I was thinking it would be a great place for Jimmy Hoffa! In all seriousness though, in most similar sinks, the deeper water becomes Hypoxic, and there are often a lot of bones at the bottom of them. Would be kinda freaky to see that in that depth! Best, Dan
Captain, yeah it was, the funny thing was that I'm usually the one that "calls" the dive. But on this dive, my buddy Kenny was yelling "lets go", I guess he wasn't as impressed with that "monster" Kitty as I was! Best, Dan
Hey JR, yeah we def were. I really just wanted to see that wreck! I tried to find out some info on it but it never happened. I'm sure there's someone out there who knew that boat but I haven't had any luck connecting with him. Best, Dan

Are you breathing normal air? How do you not narc out? This is crazy to watch. Love the video.
Definitely not normal air. Gotta be trimix mixture then has deco cylinders of air
Check out the boat, they're still looking for Jimmy Hoffa 😲
Do u have technical dive with 3 tanks like trimix or helimx. I can't remember
Wow that's very very deep.
