- First try of the new revision of the Betta robotic pool skimmer. The Betta 1.0 was not reliable and had issues with stuck propellers. This is the new version and I'm excited to give it a try. Will certainly update in a few months with reliability info.
Hose weights to sink the hose so the robot can climb over the hose easier: • Instapark Betta soluti...
Thank you for making this video, I was a bit hesitant of purchasing this skimmer robot because I didn’t think it could on top of the hose but found it very surprising it did.
Can I use part of this video in my own review video? Thank you in advance!
Can I ask what kind of underwater robot you have there and if you recommend it?
Just got the BETTA plus, looking for a robot for skimming pool floor, now. Thanks appreciate it!
It's the Aquanaut 400. It has 4 wheels. They also make the Aquanaut 200 which has 2 wheels. They both work good. If you have a smaller pool the 2-wheel might work fine.
11 months later...how about letting us know if this is still working for you. I've had countless Solar Breeze models, returned over and over for issues and they've never lasted over a year.
Update, please.
Sorry I only had the unit for less than a month and returned it because I was moving to a house without a pool, so I cannot comment on the reliability.
The instructions say it only charges when the switch is in the ON position. Does that seem silly?
It absolutely charges anytime, even with the switch in the off position, despite what it says in the manual.
@@racrum Mine stopped switching off - and its down to one motor working so it just spins and spins.
@@duespaid5803 if there’s one thing I’ve learned about these from reading around the internet, it’s buy the 3-year warranty. I had to send 2 back for repairs/replacement within the first 2 months of purchase. My current (third) one has been running flawlessly for 4 months or so now.

It looks like you have an in-floor cleaning system? If that's the case, whey the robot vacuum crawling around? Also, I'm very curious about the robotic skimmer. Does you pool not have a normal skimmer built in? Or is it not effective at clearing the surface debris?
In-floor doesn't clean the dirt on the floor. It only increases circulation. I still need the vacuum to suck up leaves and stuff. The robotic skimmer is there to skim the surface. I only have 1 regular skimmer and most debris don't make it over there.
Thank you for this video! I have the same problem with only one skimmer. I am going to copy exactly what you have recommended.🎉
Is the the new SE model?
Update on the performance of the skimmer?

$500 though!? Looks like $200
May I ask where did you get the weights to hold the cord down?

@@ruthlessluder thank you for the follow up
Better buy the extended warranty. Motor design is junk. I've gone through two set of motors in 15 months, and NO it's not because of any unusually harsh water chemistry. My pool is professionally maintained.
