    Hi, does ATX4 reproduce Sympathetic resonance with silent key ? (Can you try to press C3 half a key when damper is lifted/free without playing it and play staccato C4, you should hear sympatetic resonance in free C3 strings.... ?) Yamaha SH2 do this and ATX 4 ?

    Which silent system is the better one in terms of accuracy and longevity? Yamaha SH2 or the ATX4? The technology behind them seems very different, and there is very little information that directly compares these two. Thanks!

    Technical question here: would it be possible to add the ATX4 system to a modern Kawai GL10/30/50 originally bought without it? And if so, would it be an operation that can be performed at home by a qualified technician, or would it require sending the piano back to a shop lab?

    Hey guys! I jus bought a Kawai G10 with a ATX 4 system, and I can't figure out how to share the sound that I record in the app with the same quality. When I record in the app, and listen to the recordings in the app, they sound great, but if I share the same recording, anywhere else sounds awful...I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have contacted people from Kawai and they didn't help at all...can you guys help me?

      I saw one today in Germany. The GL 10 itself costs like 13k and with ATX 4 it costs 18k so its around 5k for the ATX 4.
      I never heard such a realistic piano sound on headphones. Its totally worth it!

      I listened again but don’t see where they are telling me what’s new. Yamaha has had a silent option on their pianos for years. The Disklavier system takes it even further with player piano capability, but there are digital audio playback/record only systems as well.
      One thing that want mentioned was playback without headphones. The Yamaha systems actually play the digital samples through the soundboard - you almost have to look inside to even tell if it’s using the strings or the digital samples.

    • @tylerdurden2577
      @tylerdurden2577 Před 2 lety

      @@DeanHorak you find the function "digital sample through acoustic soundboard" in yamaha transacoustic and kawai aures models, not in silents in general (from my knowledge). And I think to this date kawai has only uprights with their aures system (yamaha has also grands with transacoustic)

    Is there a touch display on the left side like in atx 3 uprights, aures and novus or do you have to control everything with a smartphone (hopefully not)? There also doesn't seem to be any information on kawai website about atx4 yet.
    And why do you praise the features of this instrument as if they were completely new and innovative. These things are around for decades. "Oh great, you have more than one sound option, wow", "awesome, you can turn ur babygrand silent, how new is that". And than those hyperboles everytime....You do it in such a biased and dubious way, as if the instrument was perfect and everybody should buy it without even thinking. Don't saying this is a bad Instrument btw but you can't trust yt reviews anymore...it's nothing but a lame advertisment. We are talking about musical instruments here...

      I saw the Kawai K200 and K300 with ATX4 in Kawai Denmark and they didnt have the side screen :)! It was a module under the keys like the Yamaha SH.
      And I understand that the regulation is not going to be affected in grand pianos now with ATX4, so it will be like playing a 100% acoustic instrument. ATX3 did affect the regulation in grands. Thats the biggest.
      Have a nice day!

    • @tylerdurden2577
      @tylerdurden2577 Před 2 lety +2

      @@chapitrilfo thank you for the helpful information. That the action isn't affected by the silent system sounds great. In 95% of this type of "reviews" (more like ads) they never even mention that systems like atx2 affect the action.
