I started playing trombone half a year ago and your videos are really helpful! I listen to your album as well, love it. Saving up for your exercise book, and a new better trombone, currently using a 30something year old trombone

I always thought that with trombone that there was no way that you couldn’t use your tongue ( except when your goin against the grain) but see how you improvised without tongue it got me thinking. Thanks for the vid Paul there great

A friend of mine and I enjoy playing bugle calls like taps or first call as lip slurs, or if we really want to we play flight of the valkyries as a lip slur

I notice I play with fast strong air when I'm on my mouthpiece but I tend to slow the air when I play on my horn, maybe it's a resistance problem, any tips?

Lip slurs are navigating the lip state through rhe pitches. Air is related to dynamics, not pitch.
