All of these dumb issues and arguments we have over this game is because of piboso. The guy doesn't show face or even slightly address simple issues to his community. We are always left with the few guys he actually talks too that tell him what needs to happen. Why can't we wake up tomorrow to see a simple discord announcement from piboso giving his opinion on what he thinks should happen. HE MADE THE GOD DAMN GAME. Game files problems like this should be up to him. Did he mean to leave it like that or not? If yes, add an accessible slider into the settings UI that gives an option between 0 to 1 lean help. If not, get rid of it.
yeah I don't understand why he cant just address the community more or at all, my biggest problem with the game is how long it takes to get into maps and servers, my computer bricks up loading maps or joining servers, cant even alt tab while joining a server to change my music without freezing up a bit, it feels like he just caters to the game bc he has too not bc he wants too, he could hire a small team of 3-4 people to help fix alot of these problems with all the money the games generated, he could take this game to such a high place...
@@WetWater_ i got a new parts and the "bricking" on loading maps is still there a bit for me, but i can tab out to change my youtube video now that i have new ram cpu and nvme drive, still there a little but it pretty much fixed it for me.

This has been happening for years and years and years. The game has always been gate kept by the select few of what I call the "Regime" Even though I have a good relationship with some of them and a absolutely terrible relationship with a select few of them, they will continue to do as they please. With the GUID lock tool only been given out to 2 of them, it keeps anyone else from being able to successfully run/host their own competitive pro series. Especially for any extended amount of time. Due to not being able to fund the operation, which in turn doesn't make it worth anyone's time. Especially when it comes to creating tracks, streaming, organizing the entire operation. So yeah, no one will truly have any power to do anything due to the gatekeeping that has been going on for years.
Or he scales the tracks too big so the 250s struggle to hit half of the lines. The game does need a suspension update to allow momentum in sections and preloading the suspension. Hopefully lean help 0 at least stays
The biggest thing I have an issue with is how one or two people can ban something, making a huge impact to the community, while the developer has zero care or input and the vast majority of the community wants it or at least doesn’t care. Very few people are against it. It’s complete bs. All Pibobo has to do is make lean help an adjustable slider in the settings. How one can sit and argue that it makes the game unrealistic when there are countless other things that are far more unrealistic is beyond me. Not only that, but takes zero consideration from anyone and threatens to ban them when you voice your opinion. What a joke. Thanks for the video!
A lot of the community members who are against leanhelp0 are the higher-ups who actually run the race series, build the tracks and make the bikes. They have to consider what’s best for the game and racing as a whole over the long term, not just what’s most fun or what makes for the quickest lap times. The game is supposed to be a simulator and that’s always been the goal, but currently it’s an imperfect one. But that doesn’t mean we should allow unrealistic exploits just because other aspects of the game are unrealistic. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Allowing exploits instead of trying to fix the root cause of the issues will just halt the development of the game, and it will stay broken and unrealistic forever. That’s what we’re trying to avoid by banning unrealistic exploits. But as it stands right now it’s more likely that leanhelp0 will be added as a server option for server owners to allow or disable if they please instead of an outright ban. Server owners and series runners have the right to run their races how they want, so this is the best choice for everyone right now.
@@some_doofus How can the higher ups that make the bikes and tracks that most of the time never have riden a bike in there life make decisions like this. It should be the players that have a say in it let alone the pros that have put thousand of hours into the game. Don't get me wrong I am very greatful for people like Stonerider but they shouldn't just get to make the decisions over everyone else. This game is %100 a sim cade and will never be anything more then that. For people pushing realism its just never going to happen with this game at the end of the day thats what it is. You can literally jump anything and land it, you don't get ejected from the bike or anything its always what happens after. Don't know how its called an hack or exploit when almost every pro is using it in the races anyway. Fair game is fair game and thats the way i see it
@@Zalador bro why do you assume the top community members don’t ride? I can tell you for a fact that 99% of them do ride irl very often. Why shouldn’t Stonerider be allowed to run his race series how he chooses? He’s the one who pays for the servers, takes the time to organise the events, and builds all the tracks, he has every right to decide how his race series is run. If people don’t like it they can race a different series. Also, claiming that the game is a simcade and will never be any different is just selling it short. The goal has always been a fully fledged simulator, but it is still far from perfect. That doesn’t mean the devs should just give up on that goal, it’s just a work in progress.
@Zalador if leanhelp 0 is going to be banned or not is not up to the oem team at the end of the day. We can have an opinion on it but we are in no way devs of this game or part of running stoneriders racing series.

So the argument against is the top 5% of players scrub too hard and is "unfair". The pro argument is 95% of players would feel that the game is better because wonky physics would be gone, but the other 5% say fuck no... Great
Been a 0 Lean guy for about 1,000 hours now out of 3.7k. Made the biggest change in the game for me. It wont help everyone because if you are a stick tapper it wont work. Appreciate you making this video!! Pib originally put those scripts in the game so we could change it to benefit gameplay. If he didnt want you to change it it wouldnt be there. People just love to bitch and the people in charge of the game need a gut check. They have forgot this is a community based game and they dont own it
Leanhelp0 was never intended to be used with controllers. It is for sim rigs, to allow a more responsive 1:1 feel when turning a real set of bars. But it does this by disabling part of the physics simulation which adds a realistic amount of weight/inertia to the bike and strength to the rider. This doesn’t really matter if you’re using a sim rig because now you’re limited by your own arm strength instead of the virtual rider, but using this setting on a controller means you’re only limited by the speed of your thumb. A bike should not be able to lean over as fast as you can flick a thumb stick on a controller. That’s what makes it an unrealistic exploit.

at the end of the day it wasn't supposed to be in the game. but it does significantly increase the skill ceiling which could add needed depth to the game. But also it just makes the skill floor too low. which imo is a bad thing. I do think the fact that you can lean as far as you want is very realistic and fixes a lot of aspect of the game. as well as the fact that your bike is going to go exactly where you point your stick, but I think the movement is too fast and the bike feels like it has no weight to it. Although it is fun I think it's too arcadey. the better route might to implement certain aspects of lean help 0 into the physics, without it being too OP. lmk what you guys think??
So they can have piboso ban 0 Lean Help and tear offs and Niko can worry about race confirmations which although that idea if good it just doesn’t work very well right now and causes more issues than it does help. For Piboso id like to say fix the net code first of all before worrying about tearoffs and lean help. For Niko I’d think we would all just like a better running website and servers before spending time on less important things. I think Stonerider needs to stop worrying about lean help 0 and worry about his highway sx tracks. We got the ARL test track which was a very technical and difficult track and that was suppose to be the template yet it was not. For A1 the corners are too flat the finish line was way too small the rhythms feel too short and too spaced out. The whoops were way too easy. The tires are an issue I agree but not in the same way. No reason holding the throttle wide open and leaning back all the way should be the “meta start method” in no way is that realistic. If you lean forward and do it there’s a lot of issues where the bike just will not catch any traction. I also think the front tucks are more noticeable but I think it more of a tire issue than it is a bike issue. If you’re in a corner there’s no reason if you smooth and consistent on the throttle your back tire should just slide like it’s on ice and the front tires shouldn’t just randomly slide out like they are on ice too at some points. Another issue I see is how toxic this community is call me crazy if you’d like but nothing is ever done about it and in my opinion I feel as if the well we will just say the “high ups” within the community are some of the most toxic ones and are unprofessional and have no class and no respect. Go in the Mxb discord and ask a simple yes or no question lmk how that works😂.

My problem is with how they're picking and choosing what needs to be in the game for realism... And NOT LISTENING TO THE COMMUNITY. Last I checked, IRL bikes do not have Brake help Shift help Lean help THIRD GODDAMN PERSON CAMERA??? A massive FOV advantage that you cannot do IRL??? You can't claim it's for realism while leaving assists and 3rd person camera available. Are we going for realistic? Or are we going for what a handful of people feel is OK and disregarding the majority of players???
The difference is the other assists typically lower your control of the bike, not increase it. You can be faster with all of those assists turned off (except maybe clutch help, but controllers just don’t have enough variable inputs for throttle, front and rear brake, steering, leaning and clutch). So yeah the assists aren’t realistic, but they slow you down and limit your control, so experienced players are better off disabling them. Leanhelp0 is the opposite. It allows you to go faster by giving you superhuman control over the bike. So every competitive player will probably want to use it. It’s an exploit, not an assist. That’s why it’s a problem. Using brake help and shift help and clutch help doesn’t bend the laws of physics like leanhelp0 does. Leanhelp0 essentially disables part of the physics simulation, like removing weight and inertia from the equation, on top of giving the rider superhuman strength. No other assist does that.
Lean help 0 has been a thing for long time already it just got lot of attention recently. I believe people who want to ban it are probably not using it and are not willing to learn it. As a wise man once said, "if you can't beat them, join them." Also just saying it but nobody had a problem with it last season when Hurlz was dominating with it in the SX..
I have been using lean help 0 for the last year and there's no way I'm going to play without it if it gets banned. ALSO!! if everyone switched to leanhelp 0 then why would the scrubs be an issue if everyone can do them? It would be fair game for everyone
I'm on board with it being banned. The goal should be to make it realistic, a simulator. Lean help 0 makes the dramatic movements look completely unrealistic. Just my opinion though
Dude i fkin love you. I've been riding with lean help 0 since you posted that video about your new settings and its a thousand times better, it helped me become way better at the game and i don't understand the reason behind banning it.

Railing the completely flat inside before the 85 foot long finish and dragging bar over the face is on par with MX vs ATV. As soon as the bikes community stops trying to pretend MX Bikes is a simulator, then issues like this can be addressed.
i dont know i just got back to the game. But does look like it helps alot of the issues, but i just want this game to be slower and maybe, if the bikes were slower maybe you wont be able to make those unrealistic and ugly fast scrubs and that way lean help 0 would be a help if the game were just alot slower. (now a game will never be realistic, but those hotlaps are too much in my opinion)
This is my point too. The overall pace of the game is already too fast, tracks are having to be scaled up to match and it’s getting further and further away from realism. Currently a lot of that excess pace is coming from the tyres which are too grippy. But the main reason they were released too grippy is because every time we tried reducing the traction in testing and previews it was met by aggressive pushback from the racer crowd because they couldn’t perfectly hit the same lines they used to, and they didn’t like having to slow up to stop the front washing or the rear sliding, even though that’s realistic. The only way to keep *most* people happy was to give the tyres too much traction, thus making the game faster, for now. Now we’re seeing the exact same thing with leanhelp0. It’s obviously not realistic because it removes all movement restrictions from the bike and rider, basically negating weight and inertia and giving the rider superhuman strength, allowing impossibly fast and extreme lean angles. It’s not realistic, but it’s fast and it’s fun, so the racers like it. But this game is meant to be a simulator. That’s what it’s always been advertised as and what the goal has always been. So allowing exploits that make the game less realistic goes against the game’s core vision. That’s my main issue with this. It’s an unrealistic exploit. Yes it has benefits and yes not everyone cares about realism, but the game at its core has to stick to its original vision or it will just devolve into an over-scaled arcadey mess, which will just make racing worse with faster collisions and bigger crashes. I believe that a lot of the games physics issues can be fixed properly in time, and recent developments behind the scenes are looking pretty promising. But those proper fixes will never come if everyone just resorts to exploits and Band-Aid “fixes” instead, and the game will stay broken *and* unrealistic. For the time being the best way to deal with this is probably to allow leanhelp0 as a server option that can be disabled, so server owners have the choice. Stonerider has every right to run ARL how he wants, so he should have the option to disable leanhelp0. If people don’t like it they can race a different series.

If this tweak was shared publicly with the mxb community then it likely wouldn't have been banned and had mass adoption. Since it was kept hush hush so the pro's have a leg up on the competition is why I can see it being banned. I could have used this to enjoy the game more when it was found. Thanks for sharing it now either way.
This game feels the best on the factory 450s with lean help 0. With the factory guys quitting and lean help 0 going away this games just nowhere near as fun for me.
Ban 3rd person from pro races before this. I've actually never even tried 0 lean help. Might have to give it a go. But 3rd person in competitive/simulation racing has always aggravated me. Stone has actually talked about doing forced cockpit for a few years now. But just never has. I'm going to try the 0 lean help though. I want to see the difference. Good video brotha.
@justinedwards4600 because in the simulation aspect, it makes no sense. Everyone during any competitive setting should all be on a level playing field. Leaves room for no excuses. The ARL series tries to replicate IRL/realism as close to possible. 3rd person is about as far away as realistic as possible.
I run at direct 10% with inverted inputs, very twitchy. Lean help 0 is hell but I can see right away how much more aerial rotation it gives you. Also I noticed "on" is 3 and "off" is 1. If you set it to 0 through the file, toggling it in game gives you lean help 2. What's that?
I play this game on a steering wheel and im working on a controller to play it more like a sim. The lean help 0 let me control the bike instead of fighting it. The help stuff is cool but sometimes it gets in the way.
I agree that I think it's a tire issue, there are a lot of things that needs to be improved with these tires and imo it's the most important part that we in the OEM team need to fix asap. But there is a lot of work being done as we speak and we know about the problems and we are trying to figure out the best thing. When it comes to LH0 I honestly don't care personally. (not a official OEM statement but my opinion)

You’re not supposed to drink the bong water man. Haha I understand your point with the way it hides weird physics, but it’s so unrealistic in every way. You would need to be a god to man handle the bike like you’re able to with 0 lean help. Sure, it’s more dependent on your input, but the amount of upward force it creates to spring your bike/rider acts as a slingshot. I do agree with you about being able to find a sweet spot with this setting in an upcoming update, but for now, it’s too unrealistic IMO.

Oem team is so afraid to admit they made any mistakes theyre losing team mwmbers and testers left and right. Every oem update is such a massive change from the last that you have to re learn how to ride the bikes. The OEM/ARL teams feel so high on their pedistals and they dont listen to criticism from anyone that isnt a top level pro rider or big youtuber. Stonerider & the oem team are seemingly on a power trip and if they dont start listening to actual players, the game is gonna die real fast
I don't completely agree with you. Don't know about stonie but OEM team has done lot of good things and changes to the bikes, yes they change alot on every update, but its been always like that because they constantly correct and have to correct Piboso's mistakes and problems the hard way by changing the bikes. Also I just believe Stonie wants the ARL to be fair for everyone and changing game files and experimenting with it may not be so easy to do for everyone. But yeah still i don't think lean help 0 should be banned, just made more easier and publicly available for players. Just feels wrong to blame the modders and creators for this when the real reason is Pibobo tbh. Mods and modders have made so much money for Piboso and yet still he doesn't give a F about actually fixing the major problems with the game. MX Bikes would be nothing without mods.

If your gonna take away lean help zero atleast make it so your can preload and rebound so you can properly seat bounce not just sitting down to bring the bike up to you and maybe than the 250s won't struggle so bad in supercross

@@some_doofusI wouldn’t call it unrealistic movement when you factor in some other variables. Many non pro level riders are all over Instagram throwing their bikes around like that. Risk vs reward, energy depletion, ruts, bumps, the list of factors which contribute to whether or bit someone should lay the bike close to flat on the lip, is large. Lean help 0 is still well within the realms of reality.
@@systemdecal I’ve never seen someone go from upright to peg dragging up the face in the space of a couple metres going full speed on an SX track. Or being able to instantly lay down and stand up a 100kg bike through a bowl turn. It completely ignores the inertia, weight and g-forces the rider should be fighting against. The setting was created specifically for use with sim rigs to give them a more 1:1 feeling, but it does this by ignoring all those forces on the bike. This isn’t an issue for sim rigs because turning handlebars irl is harder and takes longer than flicking the thumb sticks on a controller. The setting is not designed for use with controllers because bike should not be able to match controller inputs 1:1, but that’s what this setting does.
Good video dude. I agree the scrubs and quick leaning seem unrealistic, but if it solves a part of the shitty slow physics then I'm surprised they want to outright ban it rather than investigating and coming to a middle ground. I don't play mxb much anymore but the slow physics have to be one of the most annoying parts of the game.
I think they should reduce the percentage of lean help when it’s off in the menu it should be like at least 10-20% closer to the 0 value I fully agree with you I have been playing with it off all the way since lynds made the video and went back for the first time yesterday and it’s definitely not great lol
I stopped playing mxbikes just because of this, i downlaod the new bikes i hop on to a server and it says i was bannned from the server, i googled it i fixed it i put it back on 1, io have 600h of mxbikes and now with this change i reallly just want my money back
They need to make the bikes feel heavier so they can’t throw the bike around so quickly. Also slow the bikes down ALOT then lean help 0 would be perfect
@@systemdecal he can flick a 125 around EASY but a 450 is a much different bike. That extra rotating mass means the bike will never be flicked as quickly and as easily as a 125
Been on lean help 0 the last few weeks and I haven't enjoyed the game this much in a very long time. Sucks to see Stone acting like a child by not even being open to a discussion.
Seems to be a unfair advantage. Not everyone will know about it and it’s clear that it makes everyone faster. So unless it’s a setting that everyone can do without having to open the files in the game it should not be used in competitive play. If piboso added a slider in the game then it should be allowed to be used.

I didnt even realize this was an issue. I just assumed everyone played with the least amount of help possible like I do. Honeslty why even play the game with it on? All it will do along with some of the other aids is make you slower. Not to mention make your whips and scrubs super lame. No wonder i scrub past everyone in servers. Yeah its a bit harder. Just run rdi program tells the game files are fine but you can change anything u want , such as tires power ect 🤷♂️ . Can set anything to whatever u want . 250s are to slow so changed it to factory’s 250 low and mid so quads are able to be done on a 250 lmao. This game isn’t sim . It’s just a more complex Mx vs atv .
ive only got like 23 hrs so far but i always feel like im fighting the bike when i try to scrub and if i crash im stuck spinning around and crash again. gets old fast.

In the first half of the video you said that the only problem with lean help 0 was the player. In the second half you said the problem was the tires. Which one is it? I myself think it’s actually the 3rd problem. The only way you are able to activate lean help 0 is by going in and manually changing your game files. Piboso never intended for players to have access to lean help 0 because it is not a setting in the game. It should be banned because it give competitive advantage, you are able to scrub harder and stay lower to the ground allowing you to gain slight time on people who aren’t using it. If you disagree then you aren’t seeing/understanding why it should not be allowed. Side note. They could either ban lean help 0 or they could ban lean help 1 and 2. Everyone needs to be on the same playing field when it comes to this particular setting because it drastically changes the game physics. Mic drop, I don’t even care what happens bc I’m just a random shitter but this is my opinion.
You keep saying it’s not that much of a difference just let them ban it. Altering the game files in any other game would get you ban for “altering the game files” why should it be different in this game. You can pretty much do it with the setting in game already just not as drastic.

Game files problems like this should be up to him. Did he mean to leave it like that or not? If yes, add an accessible slider into the settings UI that gives an option between 0 to 1 lean help. If not, get rid of it.
yeah I don't understand why he cant just address the community more or at all, my biggest problem with the game is how long it takes to get into maps and servers, my computer bricks up loading maps or joining servers, cant even alt tab while joining a server to change my music without freezing up a bit, it feels like he just caters to the game bc he has too not bc he wants too, he could hire a small team of 3-4 people to help fix alot of these problems with all the money the games generated, he could take this game to such a high place...

This has been happening for years and years and years. The game has always been gate kept by the select few of what I call the "Regime"
Even though I have a good relationship with some of them and a absolutely terrible relationship with a select few of them, they will continue to do as they please.
With the GUID lock tool only been given out to 2 of them, it keeps anyone else from being able to successfully run/host their own competitive pro series. Especially for any extended amount of time. Due to not being able to fund the operation, which in turn doesn't make it worth anyone's time. Especially when it comes to creating tracks, streaming, organizing the entire operation.
So yeah, no one will truly have any power to do anything due to the gatekeeping that has been going on for years.
Stoney doesn't want it to be arcadey but he is ok with the bike essentially having a mind of it's own because that's what lean help does

The biggest thing I have an issue with is how one or two people can ban something, making a huge impact to the community, while the developer has zero care or input and the vast majority of the community wants it or at least doesn’t care. Very few people are against it. It’s complete bs. All Pibobo has to do is make lean help an adjustable slider in the settings. A lot of the community members who are against leanhelp0 are the higher-ups who actually run the race series, build the tracks and make the bikes. They have to consider what’s best for the game and racing as a whole over the long term, not just what’s most fun or what makes for the quickest lap times. The game is supposed to be a simulator and that’s always been the goal, but currently it’s an imperfect one. But that doesn’t mean we should allow unrealistic exploits just because other aspects of the game are unrealistic. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Allowing exploits instead of trying to fix the root cause of the issues will just halt the development of the game, and it will stay broken and unrealistic forever. That’s what we’re trying to avoid by banning unrealistic exploits.
But as it stands right now it’s more likely that leanhelp0 will be added as a server option for server owners to allow or disable if they please instead of an outright ban. Server owners and series runners have the right to run their races how they want, so this is the best choice for everyone right now.

Why shouldn’t Stonerider be allowed to run his race series how he chooses? He’s the one who pays for the servers, takes the time to organise the events, and builds all the tracks, he has every right to decide how his race series is run. If people don’t like it they can race a different series.
Also, claiming that the game is a simcade and will never be any different is just selling it short. The goal has always been a fully fledged simulator, but it is still far from perfect. That doesn’t mean the devs should just give up on that goal, it’s just a work in progress.

Been a 0 Lean guy for about 1,000 hours now out of 3.7k. Made the biggest change in the game for me. It wont help everyone because if you are a stick tapper it wont work. Appreciate you making this video!! Pib originally put those scripts in the game so we could change it to benefit gameplay. If he didnt want you to change it it wouldnt be there. People just love to bitch and the people in charge of the game need a gut check. They have forgot this is a community based game and they dont own it

Leanhelp0 was never intended to be used with controllers. It is for sim rigs, to allow a more responsive 1:1 feel when turning a real set of bars. But it does this by disabling part of the physics simulation which adds a realistic amount of weight/inertia to the bike and strength to the rider. This doesn’t really matter if you’re using a sim rig because now you’re limited by your own arm strength instead of the virtual rider, but using this setting on a controller means you’re only limited by the speed of your thumb. A bike should not be able to lean over as fast as you can flick a thumb stick on a controller. That’s what makes it an unrealistic exploit.

at the end of the day it wasn't supposed to be in the game. but it does significantly increase the skill ceiling which could add needed depth to the game. But also it just makes the skill floor too low. which imo is a bad thing. I do think the fact that you can lean as far as you want is very realistic and fixes a lot of aspect of the game. as well as the fact that your bike is going to go exactly where you point your stick, but I think the movement is too fast and the bike feels like it has no weight to it. Although it is fun I think it's too arcadey. the better route might to implement certain aspects of lean help 0 into the physics, without it being too OP. lmk what you guys think??

So they can have piboso ban 0 Lean Help and tear offs and Niko can worry about race confirmations which although that idea if good it just doesn’t work very well right now and causes more issues than it does help. For Piboso id like to say fix the net code first of all before worrying about tearoffs and lean help. For Niko I’d think we would all just like a better running website and servers before spending time on less important things. I think Stonerider needs to stop worrying about lean help 0 and worry about his highway sx tracks. We got the ARL test track which was a very technical and difficult track and that was suppose to be the template yet it was not. For A1 the corners are too flat the finish line was way too small the rhythms feel too short and too spaced out. The whoops were way too easy. The tires are an issue I agree but not in the same way. No reason holding the throttle wide open and leaning back all the way should be the “meta start method” in no way is that realistic. If you lean forward and do it there’s a lot of issues where the bike just will not catch any traction. I also think the front tucks are more noticeable but I think it more of a tire issue than it is a bike issue. If you’re in a corner there’s no reason if you smooth and consistent on the throttle your back tire should just slide like it’s on ice and the front tires shouldn’t just randomly slide out like they are on ice too at some points. Another issue I see is how toxic this community is call me crazy if you’d like but nothing is ever done about it and in my opinion I feel as if the well we will just say the “high ups” within the community are some of the most toxic ones and are unprofessional and have no class and no respect. Go in the Mxb discord and ask a simple yes or no question lmk how that works😂.

The difference is the other assists typically lower your control of the bike, not increase it. You can be faster with all of those assists turned off (except maybe clutch help, but controllers just don’t have enough variable inputs for throttle, front and rear brake, steering, leaning and clutch). So yeah the assists aren’t realistic, but they slow you down and limit your control, so experienced players are better off disabling them. Leanhelp0 is the opposite. It allows you to go faster by giving you superhuman control over the bike. So every competitive player will probably want to use it. It’s an exploit, not an assist. That’s why it’s a problem. Using brake help and shift help and clutch help doesn’t bend the laws of physics like leanhelp0 does. Leanhelp0 essentially disables part of the physics simulation, like removing weight and inertia from the equation, on top of giving the rider superhuman strength. No other assist does that.

Lean help 0 has been a thing for long time already it just got lot of attention recently. I believe people who want to ban it are probably not using it and are not willing to learn it. As a wise man once said, "if you can't beat them, join them." Also just saying it but nobody had a problem with it last season when Hurlz was dominating with it in the SX..

Brother that's what bikes already is, watching that A1 hotlap was comedy. Railing the completely flat inside before the 85 foot long finish and dragging bar over the face is on par with MX vs ATV. As soon as the bikes community stops trying to pretend MX Bikes is a simulator, then issues like this can be addressed.
i dont know i just got back to the game. But does look like it helps alot of the issues, but i just want this game to be slower and maybe, if the bikes were slower maybe you wont be able to make those unrealistic and ugly fast scrubs and that way lean help 0 would be a help if the game were just alot slower. (now a game will never be realistic, but those hotlaps are too much in my opinion)
This is my point too. The overall pace of the game is already too fast, tracks are having to be scaled up to match and it’s getting further and further away from realism. Currently a lot of that excess pace is coming from the tyres which are too grippy. But the main reason they were released too grippy is because every time we tried reducing the traction in testing and previews it was met by aggressive pushback from the racer crowd because they couldn’t perfectly hit the same lines they used to, and they didn’t like having to slow up to stop the front washing or the rear sliding, even though that’s realistic. The only way to keep *most* people happy was to give the tyres too much traction, thus making the game faster, for now.
Now we’re seeing the exact same thing with leanhelp0. It’s obviously not realistic because it removes all movement restrictions from the bike and rider, basically negating weight and inertia and giving the rider superhuman strength, allowing impossibly fast and extreme lean angles. It’s not realistic, but it’s fast and it’s fun, so the racers like it. But this game is meant to be a simulator. That’s what it’s always been advertised as and what the goal has always been. So allowing exploits that make the game less realistic goes against the game’s core vision. That’s my main issue with this. It’s an unrealistic exploit. Yes it has benefits and yes not everyone cares about realism, but the game at its core has to stick to its original vision or it will just devolve into an over-scaled arcadey mess, which will just make racing worse with faster collisions and bigger crashes.
I believe that a lot of the games physics issues can be fixed properly in time, and recent developments behind the scenes are looking pretty promising. But those proper fixes will never come if everyone just resorts to exploits and Band-Aid “fixes” instead, and the game will stay broken *and* unrealistic.
For the time being the best way to deal with this is probably to allow leanhelp0 as a server option that can be disabled, so server owners have the choice. Stonerider has every right to run ARL how he wants, so he should have the option to disable leanhelp0. If people don’t like it they can race a different series.

If this tweak was shared publicly with the mxb community then it likely wouldn't have been banned and had mass adoption. Since it was kept hush hush so the pro's have a leg up on the competition is why I can see it being banned. I could have used this to enjoy the game more when it was found. This game feels the best on the factory 450s with lean help 0. With the factory guys quitting and lean help 0 going away this games just nowhere near as fun for me.

I run at direct 10% with inverted inputs, very twitchy. Lean help 0 is hell but I can see right away how much more aerial rotation it gives you. Also I noticed "on" is 3 and "off" is 1. If you set it to 0 through the file, toggling it in game gives you lean help 2. What's that?
I play this game on a steering wheel and im working on a controller to play it more like a sim. The lean help 0 let me control the bike instead of fighting it. The help stuff is cool but sometimes it gets in the way.
I agree that I think it's a tire issue, there are a lot of things that needs to be improved with these tires and imo it's the most important part that we in the OEM team need to fix asap. But there is a lot of work being done as we speak and we know about the problems and we are trying to figure out the best thing.
When it comes to LH0 I honestly don't care personally.

You would need to be a god to man handle the bike like you’re able to with 0 lean help. Sure, it’s more dependent on your input, but the amount of upward force it creates to spring your bike/rider acts as a slingshot. I do agree with you about being able to find a sweet spot with this setting in an upcoming update, but for now, it’s too unrealistic IMO.

Oem team is so afraid to admit they made any mistakes theyre losing team mwmbers and testers left and right. Every oem update is such a massive change from the last that you have to re learn how to ride the bikes. The OEM/ARL teams feel so high on their pedistals and they dont listen to criticism from anyone that isnt a top level pro rider or big youtuber. Stonerider & the oem team are seemingly on a power trip and if they dont start listening to actual players, the game is gonna die real fast
I don't completely agree with you. Don't know about stonie but OEM team has done lot of good things and changes to the bikes, yes they change alot on every update, but its been always like that because they constantly correct and have to correct Piboso's mistakes and problems the hard way by changing the bikes. Also I just believe Stonie wants the ARL to be fair for everyone and changing game files and experimenting with it may not be so easy to do for everyone. But yeah still i don't think lean help 0 should be banned, just made more easier and publicly available for players. Just feels wrong to blame the modders and creators for this when the real reason is Pibobo tbh. Mods and modders have made so much money for Piboso and yet still he doesn't give a F about actually fixing the major problems with the game. MX Bikes would be nothing without mods.

Risk vs reward, energy depletion, ruts, bumps, the list of factors which contribute to whether or bit someone should lay the bike close to flat on the lip, is large. Lean help 0 is still well within the realms of reality.
@@systemdecal I’ve never seen someone go from upright to peg dragging up the face in the space of a couple metres going full speed on an SX track. Or being able to instantly lay down and stand up a 100kg bike through a bowl turn. It completely ignores the inertia, weight and g-forces the rider should be fighting against. The setting was created specifically for use with sim rigs to give them a more 1:1 feeling, but it does this by ignoring all those forces on the bike. This isn’t an issue for sim rigs because turning handlebars irl is harder and takes longer than flicking the thumb sticks on a controller. The setting is not designed for use with controllers because bike should not be able to match controller inputs 1:1, but that’s what this setting does.

Good video dude. I agree the scrubs and quick leaning seem unrealistic, but if it solves a part of the shitty slow physics then I'm surprised they want to outright ban it rather than investigating and coming to a middle ground.
I don't play mxb much anymore but the slow physics have to be one of the most annoying parts of the game.

Been on lean help 0 the last few weeks and I haven't enjoyed the game this much in a very long time. Sucks to see Stone acting like a child by not even being open to a discussion.
Seems to be a unfair advantage. Not everyone will know about it and it’s clear that it makes everyone faster. So unless it’s a setting that everyone can do without having to open the files in the game it should not be used in competitive play. If piboso added a slider in the game then it should be allowed to be used.

I didnt even realize this was an issue. I just assumed everyone played with the least amount of help possible like I do. Honeslty why even play the game with it on? All it will do along with some of the other aids is make you slower. Not to mention make your whips and scrubs super lame. No wonder i scrub past everyone in servers. Yeah its a bit harder. But the game is so much more fun when you turn all that crap off.

Just run rdi program tells the game files are fine but you can change anything u want , such as tires power ect 🤷♂️ . Can set anything to whatever u want . 250s are to slow so changed it to factory’s 250 low and mid so quads are able to be done on a 250 lmao. This game isn’t sim . It’s just a more complex Mx vs atv .

What do you open it with? The file mine ask if I want to use win rar or other stuff and none of those work what do you use
What I can't seem to wrap my head around is the fact that some are claiming that lean help 0 is arcadey? It seems to me it leaves the skill up to the player, not rng. What seems more arcadey to you lol

In the first half of the video you said that the only problem with lean help 0 was the player. In the second half you said the problem was the tires. Which one is it? I myself think it’s actually the 3rd problem. The only way you are able to activate lean help 0 is by going in and manually changing your game files. Piboso never intended for players to have access to lean help 0 because it is not a setting in the game. It should be banned because it give competitive advantage, you are able to scrub harder and stay lower to the ground allowing you to gain slight time on people who aren’t using it. If you disagree then you aren’t seeing/understanding why it should not be allowed. Side note. They could either ban lean help 0 or they could ban lean help 1 and 2. Everyone needs to be on the same playing field when it comes to this particular setting because it drastically changes the game physics. Mic drop, I don’t even care what happens bc I’m just a random shitter but this is my opinion.

You keep saying it’s not that much of a difference just let them ban it. Altering the game files in any other game would get you ban for “altering the game files” why should it be different in this game. You can pretty much do it with the setting in game already just not as drastic.

Cause I have played my last 490 hours with Lean help on and I gotta fight the muscle memory but I don’t now how to like go around corners right it’s weird and I was wondering if u have any tips :)

Okay so I’m brand new to to mx bikes just started playing last weekend should I keep trying to get use to the game on lean help 1 or should I change it to 0. I just don’t wana get use to 0 and then they ban it and I gotta re learn how to play again.
I just tried 0 help lean and didn't like it so i really don't see how this can be that helpful. Going back to 1.

as a new comer to MX bikes this is pretty stupid. ive played tons of games and this wouldnt even be allowed on the big screen. NEVER when i started playing did ANY starting videos tell you this... but yet you say how its gam ebreaking and cant be taken out. seems like a way for top players to keep them and their butt buddies at the top. take it out, its bullshit. ive googled and youtubed tons of videos and like i said NEVER heard of this yet you make a whole video of the benefits. why nwouldnt a new comer want that info? correct me if im wrong but.
And to add to it.. the amount of comments "Oh ive never heard of this" even proving my point even further. from a new comers perspective youre mad that a setting is getting taken out that you have to go into the games files to change. Us new players wouldnt even know about that.. thats fucked up man.
