      Pisgat Ze'ev is part of Jerusalem, which we define as Israel's undivided capital city and Arab residents of East Jerusalem have either Israeli residency rights (blue ID card), which enables them to live anywhere in Jerusalem, east, west, north, south -- and, for that matter, anywhere in Israel that they wish -- from Metullah to Eilat. Besides the East Jerusalem Arabs (mostly non-citizen legal residents although they have the option to apply for Israeli citizenship) who have have bought or rent in places in E. J'lem like Pisgat Ze'ev or French Hill (which some define as " settlements in occupied East Jerusalem") there are also many Arab citizens of Israel who live in Jerusalem (whether east, west, north, south) who have moved there from other parts of the country, especially those who study or teach at Hebrew University, or doctors at Hadassah Hospital, or people with government jobs.
      As for Arabs in Ariel, which is technically a West Bank settlement (although most likely to remain in Israel) like you say, they're mostly at the university there but most stay in the dorms or are short-term renters. I'm pretty sure they're almost all citizens and I don't know if any have moved there full-time, although there's no law that prevents them. But Palestinians from Areas, A, B and C who are not citizens of Israel or East J'lem residents don't live in Ariel at all.

State land that is administered by the Israel Lands Administration, or JNF-owned land, can be leased by any citizen of Israel, whether or not that citizen is of Jewish nationality or Arab nationality, or by any non-citizen who is eligible to become a citizen of Israel under Israel's Law of Return. I think Palestinians are taught a very different reality from what actually happened to the Jews. It's quite possible that the average local Palestinian who had no political inclination was welcoming to the Jews in the WW2 and before, but the Arab leadership in Palestine was aggressively fighting against Jewish immigration. They appealed to the British and demanded to stop Jewish immigration from Europe at a time Jews were being persecuted there, and the British complied. This is one of the main reasons Palestinian Jews started fighting the British in Palestine, until they left in 1948. To anyone that tried to claim this is apartheid and racism: major eye roll. No it’s not apartheid. The Jews in the United States largely congregate in certain neighborhoods/towns. There are areas in the US known as Jewish areas and Muslim areas. Heavily populated Asian areas. It’s not discrimination to want to live among your own culture and people! It’s a good thing. It doesn’t mean you can’t socialize and work with everyone else. If we all forced ourselves to intermix we’d eventually become one big homogenous population with no ethnicities, no cultures, no places to travel to explore different people and different religions and different ways of living. The world would be so boring if we didn’t preserve our different cultures and identities. It’s not racist! I grew up in an area in the US with barely any Jews. I couldn’t wait for the day I went to college or moved to New York after to be among my people. I loved visiting my other family and Jewish camp friends in their Jewish areas. I joined an all Jewish sorority. And there’s nothing wrong with that! If people want to live among other cultures or religions or whatever, that’s great, they should. Plentyyy of areas that have a mix of everyone. But nothing wrong with feeling at home with your own people too. Enough shaming people for being human! It’s ok to want a sense of belonging. And it doesn’t just apply to ethnicity. It could mean wanting to live among like minded people. The world is so obsessed with these buzzwords and racism. It’s insane! It can actually be harmful to force yourself to be friends with people who aren’t like minded or you don’t particularly get along with. You won’t be as happy. People that say these things think that the people who live among their own people are closed minded but it’s actually the people who claim apartheid and racism that are closed minded, and not open to understanding the human condition and natural biological tendencies. Wanting to be among your own people doesn’t mean your evil and racist, or against other people.

      Because they’ve been k**led in Palestinian terror attacks…and because we know what the Arab Muslims say behind closed doors. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. They aren’t willing to take the risk on their life and who could blame them? They can never know what is inside the heart of any individual “Palestinian” and what their intentions are. Considering it’s dangerous for Jews to even travel into the Arab territories, why wouldn’t they be scared for their lives? Maybe make Jews feel safe in your cities and stop k**ling them like the old man that went to get fruit/veggies the other week in an Arab territory…that got k**led…. And they’d have a different outlook. They have every right to be fearful both short term but even more long term. You heard everyone say that a peaceful Palestinian with good intentions can live next to them.

      You mean the Muslim Arabs? I know, I try to explain this to people in the US. They’ve never lived among others and have no real world perspective or true historical perspective. They’ve lived their whole lives in a bubble surrounded by Arab Muslims who don’t allow others to live in the same land, and learn nothing about other people. This is why I tell Americans to take what they say with a grain of salt, because if they come straight from an Arab Muslim country, they don’t have a broad knowledge base to draw on when making their claims against Israel. They’ve been trapped in a feedback loop, and have heard only propaganda about Jews and Israel their whole lives. I truly believe if Muslim Arab antisemitism was eradicated over time, with a conscious global effort to rid their lives of the hateful culture and teachings, the world would be a better place for everyone. I feel like it’s one of the most detrimental things to the world in every way. One thing really keeping the world down and regressive.

    Do you know that Fattah is related to the Hebrew word לפתוח (to open). Muslims "open" land, populate it, with several children by several women, and after the land its "opened" it's theirs forever. Mandate of Palestine used to be majority Christian in Nazareth, now Nazareth is majority Muslim, because of this Fatah. Nothing to do with Zionism.

      @Starhopper
      _Mizrahim live in the settlements too_
      They do, but there are lots of different types of settlements with different cultural characteristics. They talked about admissions committees a lot in the video, so there are many settlements with a religious Zionist character , "Bnai Akiva" ("knit kippa") or Gush Emunim types, who prefer residents from that sector and with that ideology. Now, there are a lot of Mizrahim who are part of that sector too but there are some smaller settlements with admissions committees that, while they wouldn't ban Mizrahim, might be leery of having too many and prefer a more Ashkenazi Israeli character with "Ashkenazified" Mizrahim.
      When it comes to haredi settlements, there's the well-known incident of Emanuel which had a girl's school that segregated the Mizrahi and Ashkenazic pupils. Again, this is more of a cultural/religious issue -- the settlement was dominated by a certain hassidic sect and so was the school and they wanted their specific hassidic customs, style of dress and prayer to be undiluted -- so the parents from that sect demanded that the girls from that sect not be exposed to other practices.
      So there's a teensy weensy bit of truth about discrimination, but it's way exaggerated.
