Good morning. Good to see the rabbits doing so well. I sold 14 bunnies for $255 this week. That will pay for my rabbits feed for most of the year. From this point on all that I make is profit. Thank you for the encouragement to make money doing the things I like.
Many blessings. And healing for your back.

Up here in Pangasinan, i mostly feed our rabbits banana leaves, they love them, also now rabbit pellets have just become available locally, the pellets, available as flower or lactating 34 pesos a kg!
Also cracked corn, good for their teeth, as you know the teeth of rabbit are always growing, so need to chew hard material to prevent over growing. .
Wish we could use your burrowing system( more natural!) , but are in a flood prone area!

Personally i would separate them from the mother after week 5 to week 6. And if I wanted breeders id leave them up to week seven (up to 3). Those rabbits ended up to have less diseases and problems in the longrun, and i had less problems when it came to diaria and in the longrun those kind of bunnies could handle the stress from changing food even during pregnancy or taking care of the kits (i had tremendous problem securing large quantities of feed due to me living in an island) .
I gained enough knowledge to raise buns for food, though i still have lots to learn and now that im culling them all, i am thinking of setting up and expirementing with a colony system to have them be more hands off.

Rabbits can sometimes eat their own young. This is most likely to happen if your pet is feeling particularly anxious, lacks dietary protein, or has become excessively territorial.
Feed your rabbit a diet of Alfalfa hay in the days before the birth of her kits. This will prevent her from eating her young because she lacks nutrition. After giving birth, she’s likely to eat the placenta, but could eat a baby in error. Remove the kits if there are early warning signs.

Hi, Dexter! You have an amazing farm and i appreciate the lessons you share to us, more power to you!
I have a question, you use your "underground cage" to simulate the mother Doe to her environment, how do you maintain it though? I know you've said that you had no issues using your underground cage, but is their pee going to be a problem? How do you find a solution for this? I hope you'll have the time to answer my inquiry.
