Spirit Move. Take up 25% health now and it brings you back to life after Red Health with 25% health And full super meter but.. only if the opponent does NOT do an ultra, finishing move or stage fatality on you. It's not a great move to use. It was only in the arcade version and was removed in the N64 (KI Gold) version.
That move used to make sooo many people in my arcade RAGE back in the day. I loved IT!!!
I have all the endings to KI and KI 2 on youtube. Look them up. I was the first to get the full list up many years ago. Enjoy the endings.
KI2 really amped up the combos for everyone. I think it's better since KI only had a few openers that worked best for certain characters. Now everyone has 2 or 3 decent ones.
Thanks for helping me relive my childhood. Arcade gaming used to be the shit. Especially Killer Instinct. Both 1 and 2. You couldn't just mash buttons (like most fighters) and pull off a win.

No reason for me to do a playthrough again. Jago was my fav. But I still have it..
The soundtrack of this game is still kick-ass, especially on the stages of Jago and T.J. Combo.
This game is too good. I hope they remake it in the future!
Very impressive skills with Jago here. During your fight with Sabrewulf, at first, I thought "What are you doing? Your Super Move Meter is full! Finish him already!" And then, you completely surprised me with his Spirit Form!
Wow so many details graphic sounds,colors and details its a gem.Rare was on fire back then.
that Jago vs Jago fight was fuck'n epic.. i could've sworn the super uppercut looked flashier than that though, especially when linked in a combo.. and i thought it had a shadow as well.. well over a decade though, my memory could be failing me..

Only in KI 2 not KI Gold for N64 that is.
KI Gold is just KI2 but with alot of removed frames and special moves. I prefer KI2 over KI Gold. And there's no CG cutscenes in KI Gold.
So far, this is my Fav KI game. KI2 just rocked. Played the Gold version on N64, but missed the Arcade version. N64 just wasn't the same. They should have released the Arcade version of this game for the PS3 and X360. Both of those platforms could easily support the original Arcade graphics, and smoothness that this game had.
lol. Yeah I at least wanted to do a huge ultra combo somewhere in the playthrough to show I know how to do it. And it's best on the first player causer later on they combo break it too easily.
After all these years i never knew you could make your spirit come out even after all your energy is gone.
I've played KI 1, but I've only heard of KI 2. Wow, this game looks cool. Excellent Gameplay my friend!

It's only possible on the first enemy cause they barely combo break it. The rest will break it too often.
I do like the arcade versions of KI and KI Gold. They have way more graphics and it makes the game much more realistic. I think Xbox and Playstation should release the arcade versions of KI on their Marketplaces. They would really make a good sale with these.
Spirit allows you to come back to life briefly after losing all of your red health. You also get a full super meter. Provided you aren't fatalitied that is.

@acidglow Hell yeah but the reason why I didn't say PS3 or Xbox is because the KL series was released under nintendo so yeah that would be a problem. I know most of the Wii titles suck reason why I still don't own one :))
How could you not? Oo Special Move > Auto Double = 3 hits and you only need to do a launcher finisher to knock him off the stage (stage fatality) which is easier done in a simple Super combo instead of trying to time a Tiger Fury upper cut.

There is no need to worry because Fox and Microsoft have resolved the issue. They signed an agreement which they would allow to use the franchise, just as long as they don't stray in each other's territory.
aren't those.. like.. really really old games though... I think by now KI is lost to histroy..
Nintendo and Rare/Midway should at least release the arcade versions of KL and KL2 for the Wii.
If only KI3 had been made while the iron was still hot. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have done just fine outside of the arcades, Rare should have totally kept going...
In Rare's other games they brought in many teasers for KI3. I hope they are not lying.

I always felt like Killer Instinct was a better series than what most people gave it credit for.
KI2 looked better to me with the upgraded visuals =p
you know I grew up with the old fighting games but I never did play KI.
Playing with Fulgore, Jago always gave me problems. Fast and with powerful special moves. Could easily shift the momentum to his side dodging eye lasers and fireballs and drawing me into a corner. Definitely a bad matchup.

In KI2 Gold that super uppercut is a Hyper (5 hit) combo and you hear each one but in the arcade version the hits are sped through some reason :( I want to hear more ass whooping!!!

Sorry, but to me it only means they renewed it to prevent other people *cough* Nintendo *cough* from making it. Unless they announced the long awaited KI and KI2 on Live Arcade I lost faith in MS re releasing these games.
