I love Jonesy, dearly. In a sense he taught me how to play drums, but The Who didn't work for him. Required a different kind of drummer. Saw them in Seattle in 1982. The Faces were much better suited to how he plays.

We arrived at the Long Beach Arena late on July 30, 1971, being underage for driving ourselves. My and a friend were dropped-off by my sister, having missed Deep Purple's set. But when the Faces started playing, we were in heaven, and only 15 years old at the time we were!! I saw many of the UK bands that came through Los Angeles during the 1971-1973 era, and the Faces were the most FUN. We were sober too, which was unusual for me - in the future I would be taking LSD for most concerts, and always cannabis - not much of a drinker or heavy drug user at the time. Unfortunately, cannabis became difficult to find, and hard drugs were everywhere, so cocaine and opioids destroyed my life. I'm recovered now, however, all thanks to God, but I still love listening to Faces.......!

This will always feature in my Top 20 songs of all time x.
Remember watching this on BBC2, I think. I must have been about 12/13 at the time.
In fact my first ever live gig was this line-up of the Faces, Lewisham Odeon. My mates were all screaming & crying over Donny et al. I was listening to these cheeky chappies, Traffic, Sly & F Stone, Ska: ta to my older sister! Was totally in love with Rod and Ron W.
Remember watching this, laughing, smiling........Oh! good time R&R all the way x

+Walt Sisson His shift from his solo into a wall of guitars is one of the great moments in rock. Ron Wood would probably agree - check out his energy and licks at the moment of transition.

Kenny Jones absolutely tears this bitch to pieces !! For years, I swore that it had to be Carmine Appice and his awesome double bass attack because there was no way it was a single bass. Then I saw this clip about 5 years ago and went, wow, Kenny Jones is a dynamo.....great stuff !!

Rock and roll at its best, great to see Ronnie Lane jamming to the song Im losing You 💔💋 I guess you figured out by now that the faces, really are the voices of all of those teenagers going through such hard times like losing their lovers. ❤️‍🔥Believe me 💯they'll get over it. How I love that song though, I'm losing you 💥💥💥 That's a wrap🕊️🕊️

I was lucky that I was born in 1953.
I remember seeing and hearing Chuck Berry, Elvis,Little Richard,Jerry Lee Lewis,Eddie Cochran,Gene Vincent et al. Back in the 1950s.
And then the amazing decade of the 1960s to experience even more amazing music.
ROD Stewart and Ron Wood were and are still a big part of that music.
I just wish that Jimmy Page would get back to work. But with his millions,I guess that he doesn't feel the incentive.
I can't knock the guy.He has contributed so much to pop culture and music.
