    Wow, this is the best video about bird photography in SW Florida! So much valuable information. Thanks so much for sharing!This looks like a paradise for bird photographers. My biggest concern is the danger that the crocs and alligators pose. What’s your advice/caution for someone new to Florida regarding these reptiles?

    • @DonMammoserPhoto
      @DonMammoserPhoto  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi QVL75. Thanks for taking the time to watch and for the nice comments. Indeed alligators can be found in most freshwater lakes, etc. in Florida. Typically they don't pose much danger. Just keep alert and stay away from the edges of murky water especially when it's dark out. Photograph and view from a distance and you'll be fine.

      Hi Andy, Glad I could help! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and to comment. Let's hope the recent hurricanes and bad weather didn't affect my list of places too badly. I can't wait to get back down there as well.

    • @Andy.Garcia
      @Andy.Garcia Před rokem

      Hi Don, thanks for replying. Unfortunately Ding Darling got hit very badly. Looks like most of the vegetation was hurt by wind and seawater (turned brown). I do hear it’s starting to come back though. Birds are also slowly returning. I don’t see it as being very viable for at least a couple of years.

    Thank you for sharing the intriguing video showcasing numerous wildlife photography locations. I greatly appreciate the effort you put into presenting such a diverse range of places. If by chance you come across additional locations in the southern region of Florida, I would be delighted to hear about them. Although the suggested places are primarily in the central west, if you happen to discover any in the southern part of the state, please do let me know. Once again, I sincerely thank you for generously sharing these wonderful suggestions.

      Hi juanrestrepophotography3378, Glad you got something out of the video. Yeah, this video covered mostly SW Florida and I used to lead my guided photo tours based out of Fort Myers. Lately though some of the areas there have been hit-or-miss so I've switched up my tour locations and now we are based out of Sabastian and Boynton Beach on the east side. The birds are more numerous here and the action is fantastic. I'm leading another tour there in February of 2024, still a couple of spaces open if you'd like to join us. Get in touch via email if you'd like to hear more don@donmammoserphoto.com
