Delco native here! I just say out of all the counties surrounding Philly Delco is by far the best county! It’s just super close to get the the city verses the other counties and it’s a beautiful county to live. It’s my top pick of course 😉

Chester may be rough around the edges but there are some shining spots in the city. Not many cities can say they have a stadium the likes of Subaru Park. They also have Weidner University. Not bad.

Also those are the gentle and decent people of delco.
Hopefully Chester can make a comeback like many of South East PA downtowns have.

I found myself late night cruising through Upper Darby, Lansdowne Drexel Hill. Definitely my favorite area outside Philly

Delaware county PA has both rural urban and suburban packed into one county!!

Moved out of Delaware county Interborough schools are the best but that is the only thing good. High, sky high, taxes - like all other places drugs - thugs and so on.
Like most counties, there are some outliers. Unfortunately Interborough SD is not a desirable district at the moment. Interboro Senior High School is ranked #6,834 in the National Rankings where schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college. This is according to usnews.com. There are a few other school districts here in the Greater Philadelphia Area that come to mind that are in similar situations. It's sad because there are so many amazing districts literally all round us. Hopefully funding can come to support these schools efforts!

Why is the Chester Pike and Macdade corridor so sketchy? We want answers!!
It is a busy road with lots of businesses and it being two lanes in some areas doesn't help. I think it is just a main road in a busy area. Plus, the crazy drivers don't help. SLOW DOWN PEOPLE! 😠

We have many series on the top school districts in the Greater Philadelphia area and more to come. Delaware/Montgomery/Chester County does have a few of the top districts. Radnor, Tredyffrin/Easttown, Lower Merion, Garnet Valley, Unionville, etc. These are some of the top districts in the State and some in the US!

Good point Lawrence. We do get the hot humid summers, cold snowy winters and everything n between! If you can't stand the cold, you may want to look south.

@@LivinginPhiladelphia O'Hara has been in Delco since 1960. It has produced some of the best doctors, lawyers and even movie stars. the education is some of the best in the nation. A catholic HS, it is open to all faiths.

Drexel Hill absolutely is Delaware County
Upper Providence Township, Drexel Hill, Radnor township school district. All in DelCo. Not sure which ones I slipped up on.
