we need a venom documentary!
We need a Venom Movie!
docisraw a venom porno
es verdad, necesitamos un documental de Venom !!!
We have. It's called Spinal Tap.
and it should be titled 'From The Depths Of Newcastle'
100% TRUE STORY: Johnny Z, owner of the New Jersey metal ground zero, Rock n’ Roll Heaven brought Venom over to play a few shows. The opening act, was METALLICA. I was well known, as THE Venom fan in that store. I worshipped Venom, and listened to Welcome to Hell hundreds, if not thousands of times. There was an employee at RRH, named Dennis, who lived close to me (RRH was literally across the street from my apartment complex,) and he was tasked with picked Venom up at the airport. The next day, Dennis, brought Venom, TO MY APARTMENT to meet their number one fan. The problem? I wasn’t home. When I returned later that day, my Uncle, also a Venom fan, came RUNNING out of the house, screaming “WHERE WERE YOU?!?!” I said that I spent the day out with Kim, my girlfriend. He told me an unbelievable story: Venom, came to visit me. I disbelieved that, until he showed my a paper lunch bag, that was signed by all members. I was heartbroken. I called Dennis, and he said their schedule was so tight, it would be hard, but he would do his best to get me to meet them again. In anticipation, I skipped school the next day (East Brunswick High.) My phone rang off the hook around lunch time. It was friends, telling me, that Dennis was there, with some scary guys. I said OH, MY GOD…NOOOOOOO!! Yes, he thought for sure , the best way to get them to me, was to go where he knew I would be: school. They signed my locker, with pentagrams, inverted crosses, “Fuck You!” And other niceties. I never even saw a picture, as the janitor was ordered to clean the “graffiti” off of my locker. It increased my popularity at school, that’s for sure. I wasn’t allowed to go the the Paramount Theater to see the concert, as I was learning a “lesson” from my Mother (she later apologized profusely for that, but I deserved it.) Long story short: I never got to meet my idols in person. John Z (RIP) Made sure I got a TON of signed memorabilia, and even HE apologized, as he knew how much I *loved* the band. Anyway, I still think about this, to this very day…if you read ALL of this story, THANK YOU. I appreciate you taking the time to read about one of the most horrendous things that ever happened in my Metal life.
This is insane haha. Venom are my absolute favorite metal band of all time. I would have shit bricks if I had of had the chance to meet them as a teenager.
"I'll go back to Nam but I won't go back out on stage with that stupid fucking band" amazing
Classic Venom quotation.
It has Cronos written all over it 😂😂😂
Met Abbodon in Seattle. What a hell of a guy!
I saw that Venom show at the paramount on ST ISLAND when Metallica opened. I was front row and remember being in awe of the explosions. One of my most memorable shows ever.
Damn I have a cassette recording of that show somewhere, but no cassette player any more (of course). If I find it I'll put it in my four track, record it, and put it on my computer. I got to here the song VENOM, which I'm sure you remember from the show, and only recently heard a studio version of it. Awesome that you got to see it.
In 1983-1984, I was listening to Motorhead, Saxon, Maiden; etc. In 1985 my first 1st wave of black metal album I bought was Slayer's Show No Mercy. But when I bought Venom's Possessed a week later, I pronounced them my favorite band. And it stayed that way until the original classic lineup was no more. But I was lucky to see them live in 1985 (Venom, Slayer, Exodus) and again in 1986 (Venom, Exodus, Hirax).
Always great to hear the leaders of a movement in metal
OMG why couldn't the interview be longer?? Could listen to his stories for hours. :)
I've liked everyone I've ever met from Northern England.
Cheers
Aye we not that bad👍
I know it's just a little snippet, but, in lieu of my having ever seen any other interviews with Abaddon, the guy seems like a real nice, thoughtful and rather eloquent bloke.
Met Abbadon last night. Great to speak to him about Venom and Venom Inc. Proper down to Earth lad.
Matty H what do he think about last venom and venom inc?
Fabio Black Gatto, go watch his interviews on CZcams he’s been clear about his honest opinion on both bands
I've been into VENOM since the 6th or 7th grade. 37 years ago. my friend threw a cassette tape on my desk. he said check out this band. it was the "NIGHTMARE" cassette single with the answering machine messages. i was hooked immediately! i still have that cassette to this day.
Cheers man, thanks for the interview. I remember Abandon sitting back behind his million drums wearing his sunglasses.
Awesome. Still faster than over the top. Hail Venom.
Mr. Bray is a solid dude. No ego or attitude, just a solid guy all around. Much respect from 🇨🇦
I would love to see a Venom documentary!!! Esp an interview with Clive Archer.
Hahaha. Homemade pyrotechnics made by the drummer. What could possibly go wrong?
VENOM clawed the path to all of your favorite heavy shit today!!! That's a true METAL fact!! 🤘🤘 VENOM,!!!!!
I saw Venom on two hits of white microdot at the Metal Hammer Fest. 1985. Loreley. Germany. It was quite a religious experience. I have the Black Metal cover tattooed over my heart.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
No sunglasses?
Love Venom , remember being thrown out of my friends home because I had a Venom LP with me. lol
Was it your freind who threw you out or his parents
@@claemayor1650 His parents threw me out

We need a Venom doc and Abaddon needs a full time dealer! Awesome!
if you missed out on their 3 first albums in the eighties you better catch up ! legendary !
Yes , but you lost heavy metal life!!!
When I was a kid I was obsessed with the mystique of venom
Venom rule , what a great interview. When I was a kid I thought Venom were just soooo intense. Rock on man you rule !!"Metallica were opening up for us " .. lucky nobody was killed with the home-brewed pyro
My first Venom album was 'Black Metal' after that I'm still listening as an old geezer, my go to music when I need an infusion of metal.
This guy got the best interviews and documentaries ever
i was trippin on lsd and muscle relaxer to the point I couldn't stand the first time I heard venom i agree with you man loved it be freaky
That Staten Island show is LEGENDARY. RIP Jon & Marsha Zazula!
Holy Shit, that story near the end could have been a lot different had the pyro went sideways! \m/
Great interview Sam, thanks for sharing all of these raw and uncut videos.
I saw Venom at Hammersmith in the 80’s and in the interval there was suddenly this loudest sound I have ever heard, sounded like someone had dropped a guitar on purpose it jumped the shit out of everybody in the audience.
So what did the sound turn out to be? A dropped guitar?
@@icankillbugs don’t know, probably a dropped guitar yes.
This is about Fucking awesome. I want more!
Venom the inventors of black metal
Great interview, thanks for sharing that!!!!!
Very cool interview!!!
Good interview. Wish it were longer.
Stand up and be counted was the first metal song i learned and preformed. We formed a band as a project in 9th grade music class lol :) was a hell of alot of fun to sing and we got a solid B+ We are the black metal gods! V E N O fuckin M!
I checked out the band Venom and they seem pretty cool.
I wasn’t a fan of Venom, but I was at the Staten Island show because I had wheels so I drove. The explosion was massive, frightening. Nearly everyone backed off from the stage afterward. I also remember colorful smoke from the ceiling and huge flames all across the stage. Not a lot of people there, but the ones up front were insanely dedicated.
classic geordie craic! I love Newcastle 💙
Goerdies Rule !!!!!
Thanks for all you do sam, this interview is pretty inspiring to guys like me who are obsessed with this music
Yeah i agree, venom music 30 years....
godfathers of black metal!!!!
Haha I was at that show when the fire Marshall shut it down . Good times!
We need a f#%**^%% Reunion!!!
Great Abaddon
The 4 foot hole in the stage is well known by metal heads in the tri state area. Unfortunately i didn’t hear about Venom until 84 along with Slayer and Metallica. Anthony and his wife had a baby girl two months ago. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Why this isn't 3hrs long? 😔
That was funny. Loved Venom since the early 80's.
2:05 2:45 Very well spoken.
Seems a very pleasant gent! Sadly I missed Venom Inc last year...
If Cronus wasn't singing it more of a cover band
I wish someone had the drive to cover some old Plasmatics interview like this one. Ya wouldnt believe how many woman in Metal was influenced by Wendy O Williams in the early 80s
Oh my god I think I've been in that pub
damn i'm from staten island, and i missed them blowing up the place, but it's still hysterical! damn venom rules lol.
Hilarious. Why is it always so shocking when a guy like Abaddon is so normal and nice?
Great guy🤣🤣🤘
The end killed me laughing 😂
You said he was hilarious but that didn’t come through here. But he is obviously a great guy.
One of my drinking holes :D
stanger121
what bar is this?
The Crobar in London
Funny how you have an ac-dc poster in the background when Venom is so much more than ac-dc. But I will say that I like the old ac-dc.
legend
Motörhead,Judas Priest,Black Sabbath,Iron Maiden,Venom and all other bands rules.🎸🤟
"Metallica were opening up for us". Not a sentence you can say everyday..
If I didn't know his history I would have dismissed him for his generic skull shirt and straggly, curled hair!
.
+36hunters yeah, Hetfield is still a fanboy of Venom..... just like me :D
Clarisse is a very great song by Venom
classic
CLASSIC \m/\m/
are we going to ignore the ppl at the back lol
this is venom's real drummer. as far as modern day goes Venom Inc > Venom
When will there be a episode of American black metal bands?
there sort of is one by vice, search for "One man metal", mostly about leviathan, weakling and xasthur
Hahaha
Cool. Sound Barrier, Black Death...

How were they allowed to take black powder (let alone explosives ! ) on a Plane to the US? Unreal.
Cool funny guy
He looks spooked out! 😆

THAT was AWESOME!!!!!! I'll go back to 'Nam but I won't go back in there with that stupid fookin band!
Geordie metal
I like their first three albums, I lost interest after that.
Other extreme metal lacked the over the top Spinal Tap-ish feel so that wasn't fun.
Yes indeed we Do Need a Venom Inc Or Venom Combined Documantary.AVE LUCIFERI/AVE SATANAS///
The greatest worst Metal drummer ever.
At least he's better than most Punk drummers lol.
Mauricio Hernández Díaz the great thing about punk rock n black metal you don't gotta be a good drummer lol
snaggletooth bastard, I agree lol.
snaggletooth bastard punk rock yes, but black metal? Black metal is a very difficult style to play on drums, blast beating at 210 bpm with double bass is not as easy as it looks
@@dadiopimp not in venom lol
Venom is the best band of all time and have many types of metal in their music. Slayer tried to be as good. Kreator came closer.
>drummer
I went to prison because of these bad influences pmsfl
Just came to drop this hot take: that venom isnt black metal..ok, byyyyeee!
Just came to drop this hot take: that venom may not be "conventional" black metal as it is known today, as they were literally the 1st band to do black metal, but they are the pioneers & laid the foundations of all of the extreme metal that came afterwards..ok, byyyyeee!
they were black metal then before black metal became black metel
Slipknots new drummer??
Says the guy had him in stitches......goes on to interview the most not funny guy on the planet.
