    Psalm 7:1-17
    Halifax: 7 January 2018, 10:30 am
We are ready to move on to 2 Thessalonians in our morning sermons series.
    - But as we do, I want to begin by presenting you with a Psalm of Focus for us to sing each week that is related to 2 Thessalonians.
    - As 2 Thessalonians starts off with a lot about God’s righteous judgment, I thought it would be good to take Psalm 7 as our Psalm of Focus.
    - In Psalm 7, we plead with God to come and judge.
When I preach from the Psalms, I very often encourage you to be sure that you sing them with Jesus.
    - The Psalms are uniquely designed to be sung by God’s covenant people in every age-Israel sang them, Christ sang them, and now we sing them.
    - They are special because we can sing them with Christ as our covenant head.
    - Psalm 7 is one that you especially want to sing with Jesus because in it, we ask God to judge all of us with righteous judgment.
    - If you are not in Christ, that is the last thing you want to be asking God!
    - But what a delight it is to sing this Psalm knowing that we are in Christ and stand with Him.
So with that in mind, let us examine the words of this Psalm that our Lord Jesus has given us to sing with Him.
