Rachel's English hellow i need to learn with you
Hi,Reachel,Can you tell me this sentence 'I want some information',why 't' is no sound?
Rachel's English i
Rachel's English [ASK❤️] Hi Rachel, here i've got a quick question:Why don't we pronounce 'to' as '/də/'? Because we had another video 'How to Pronounce the Word TO' before,it says:Use /tə/ after a word ending in /t/;Can use /də/ all other times, according to that,in this video, 'to' is after 'possible',which is not ending in /t/,so it seems like we should pronounce 'to' here as '/də/'.So Rachel, may I have ur idea?what do you think of it?Thanks a lot!Love u!❤️❤️❤️❤️
through your video

When you grow up a native speaker of English, you don't realize how convoluted it is for people to learn.
+WatchTheWorldBURN So true!
+Don'tWatchTheWorldBURN Actually, it is one of the easiest languages to learn. Not that any language is *easy* to learn, but compared to the others out there, English is one of the least bothersome.
+Rachel's English Nice video btw.
+Don'tWatchTheWorldBURN -- You Americans have completely messed up the English language.
yeah it seems like it'd be hard for people to nail the accent down right unless they speak with Americans constantly
you mean north americans....right?
Fact is English is a global language with lots of different native accents. Then there is also a bunch of non-native speakers with their respective accents. When I lived in the US, I spoke with my own accent, let the Americans speak with theirs, and everybody got along perfectly well.
it works only with one native..
if two non native speakers from different regions... difficult to understand each other..
thats why there needs to be a sort of standard which is American or british one
Partially agree. Redically Language be used for communication. if it's work, no problem.
It is today's lingua franca, can you believe it that in India they import college texbooks from the West and translate them into their dialect?
I'm a Filipino and learned a lot through this. Thank you!! 💛
Awesome! You're welcome Lyra! :)
I'm a native speaker who grew up in NH speaking both French and English, and when I hear a person speaking English with any kind of accent I feel great admiration for that person, because I know they have had to learn English, which is a very difficult task.
Don't get discouraged, people, and don't be too hard on yourself. Keep smiling.
I'm Japanse and I live in the use since end of 2015, I have strong accent and sometimes native speaker can't understand what I said. some of my feel actually scary to speak in English. btw, I was very surprised many people who was born the us, watch this you tube!! I have to keep practice pronounce, grammar etc.
I hope you are excellent with speaking and everyone understands what you say :)
Good luck but it's been 3 years. Any update?
What do you think about British accent? Have you ever tried to learn it?
@@ErtixPoke if u live in USA, what u need to learn only American English but not British English.
Hey,how it is now?
I'm mexican and I've unintentionally been doing this for Finnish, French, German, Arabic and Russian learning, too.
I use ä, ö, y(ü), ó, á, é, etc... and I've created my whole code for learning myself.
Thanks to you, now I know it's called Ben Franklin exercise.
You're welcome Rafael and thanks for watching!

I'm French.... Thank you, you are doing a great job.

Thanks Rachel, I am a non- native English teacher and I like your videos a lot. Not only do they help me improve my English, but also teach my students about reduction, linking and so on. Thanks and keep up the amazing job
Your pronunciation is perfect, so it´s easy to understand everything you say!!! The major problem, for me and for many others, I think, it´s how to understand people who speak very fast and not so clearly. I love your channel, thanks for teaching us with so much patience and elegance.
You're welcome!
These are timeless lessons. I still remember about 10 years ago, I discovered your channel and this video is one of the very first lessons I learned from you. You're still producing many useful teaching lessons today for free and I feel I need to show my gratitude for that. You're my primary online English teacher. God bless you for all you've been giving. Thank you so much!!
Wow! That's a long time! Thanks for sharing Quang! :)
Yes. Wish you all the best !!!
Yes, this will depend on your native language. Is it Arabic? The Flap T and D between vowels in American English = the R in Arabic. Keep in mind it is way different from the R in American English.
I speak fluent English but my accent is that of the Caribbean as I am from Jamaica. Most of the time online jobs like it when you able to perform intonation, that of the USA. Rachel's English is really helping me in less than 10mins. No joke. Great work Rachel.
I like how you have put the title in so many languages for other people to find relatable videos.
Thank you!

It's been a long time since my English classes finished and you´ve helped me to improve my pronunciation. Now I'm probably going to watch every single one of your videos. Subscribed of course!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate it!! I've been living in the United States for a decade now but sometimes my accent makes it hard for others to understand so I've been practicing English and I really appreciate these videos I believe that with practice and consistency I will be able to speak like a Native or similar to an English native speaker!

You're welcome Ngọc! Keep it up.
Thank you because I did just this when learning French and wooow "Imitating a native and then comparing yourself until it's perfect" is the best way to improve my accent.
I would add that you speak to a native and then paraphrase everything for him to correct you.
Hello Rachel, On behalf of millions of people that have benefited for watching this video, we are extremely grateful for your kind generosity to educate us on how to improve our accent. Thanks in million Sister.

English turned into a very interesting game after listening to this. There are a lot of things to analyse and think about, even with the simplest phrases. So it actually gave me huge improvement in a short period of time! Thanks!
Such a good tutorial! I'm trying to improve my pronunciation since I sound, as my friend from the US said, 'like someone from Europe who has spent like two years in America'
Thank you! I'm going to repeat everything these days!
I pronounced it correctly on my own 🙏🏻
I love ur new videos from movies, I stress a little more than required and not always do the necessary reductions ..

You are such a great teacher! I'm going to share this video. I am a polyglot, but English is my native language. I have done the same exercises in my foreign languages. It's so important to be able to pick up on all of the subtleties of speech including stress, rhythm, intonation, reduction, assimilation and so many other aspects. It really is incredible. Not until we learn another language or try to teach a foreigner to speak our language do we begin to become aware of the complexity involved.
Thanks for sharing Cory! Very much appreciated:)
Is there any doubt that you're asking me to feel bad for you because you exerted the effort to do the equivalent of remembering a dream in chronological order?
Day after day I notice how this videos are so important and make me discover more about English language, I started to feel I be closer to understanding the language... it's amazing to start like language... thanks so much for you Rachel👸

great lesson! I teach ESL and these are all the things I would help them with too. Listen to language like it's Music, no matter what language you're learning. Keep up the good work Rachel!
There's also “p(h)ossible”, “music(h)ality of the speech”.
And interesting thing: a glottal stop instead of [t]: “in the entire sen-'ence” at 4:14 or “halfway through one sen-'ence” at 4:42.
Aleksandr Nestrato it depends on how fast the person is saying sentence.
that h helps a lot thanks
I don't see what you say,but i think it's useful.
I'm from panjshir AFG: thanks a lot your are doing a best job and help us more.
One thing that is rarely mentioned: o's often have a bit of an "ah" sound to them, like in "a lot" (in contrast to British English for example). A's have something similar going on being nudged towards an "e" and "e"s are closer to an "i" like in "it" so than Americans saying "n" sometimes sounds a bit like "in"
