Rachel's English hellow i need to learn with you
Hi,Reachel,Can you tell me this sentence 'I want some information',why 't' is no sound?
Rachel's English i
Rachel's English [ASK❤️] Hi Rachel, here i've got a quick question:Why don't we pronounce 'to' as '/də/'? Because we had another video 'How to Pronounce the Word TO' before,it says:Use /tə/ after a word ending in /t/;Can use /də/ all other times, according to that,in this video, 'to' is after 'possible',which is not ending in /t/,so it seems like we should pronounce 'to' here as '/də/'.So Rachel, may I have ur idea?what do you think of it?Thanks a lot!Love u!❤️❤️❤️❤️

When you grow up a native speaker of English, you don't realize how convoluted it is for people to learn.
+WatchTheWorldBURN So true!
+Don'tWatchTheWorldBURN Actually, it is one of the easiest languages to learn. Not that any language is *easy* to learn, but compared to the others out there, English is one of the least bothersome.
+Rachel's English Nice video btw.
+Don'tWatchTheWorldBURN -- You Americans have completely messed up the English language.
yeah it seems like it'd be hard for people to nail the accent down right unless they speak with Americans constantly
you mean north americans....right?
Why am I watching this, when I was born in the usa

Fact is English is a global language with lots of different native accents. Then there is also a bunch of non-native speakers with their respective accents. When I lived in the US, I spoke with my own accent, let the Americans speak with theirs, and everybody got along perfectly well.
it works only with one native..
if two non native speakers from different regions... difficult to understand each other..
thats why there needs to be a sort of standard which is American or british one
Partially agree. Redically Language be used for communication. if it's work, no problem.
It is today's lingua franca, can you believe it that in India they import college texbooks from the West and translate them into their dialect?
I'm a Filipino and learned a lot through this. Thank you!! 💛
Awesome! You're welcome Lyra! :)
I'm a native speaker who grew up in NH speaking both French and English, and when I hear a person speaking English with any kind of accent I feel great admiration for that person, because I know they have had to learn English, which is a very difficult task.
Don't get discouraged, people, and don't be too hard on yourself. Keep smiling.
I'm French.... Thank you, you are doing a great job.
Yas L.M haha maybe we could teach each other
Interesting video. I am looking for a native french, italian, and English to practice, and I can teach my native language which is spanish in return.

Thanks Rachel, I am a non- native English teacher and I like your videos a lot. Not only do they help me improve my English, but also teach my students about reduction, linking and so on. Thanks and keep up the amazing job
Yes, this will depend on your native language. Is it Arabic? The Flap T and D between vowels in American English = the R in Arabic. Keep in mind it is way different from the R in American English.
I like how you have put the title in so many languages for other people to find relatable videos.
Thank you!
Great thank you for this wonderful video
You're welcome Haneefa!
I speak fluent English but my accent is that of the Caribbean as I am from Jamaica. Most of the time online jobs like it when you able to perform intonation, that of the USA. Rachel's English is really helping me in less than 10mins. No joke. Great work Rachel.

Hello Rachel, On behalf of millions of people that have benefited for watching this video, we are extremely grateful for your kind generosity to educate us on how to improve our accent. Thanks in million Sister.

Such a good tutorial! I'm trying to improve my pronunciation since I sound, as my friend from the US said, 'like someone from Europe who has spent like two years in America'
I consider my self as your student. I like your way teaching English. GOD BLESS
Thank you Qutaiba!
Your pronunciation is perfect, so it´s easy to understand everything you say!!! The major problem, for me and for many others, I think, it´s how to understand people who speak very fast and not so clearly. I love your channel, thanks for teaching us with so much patience and elegance.
You're welcome!
She speaks better than I do, and I was born in the US.

What chatting apps are american use?
English turned into a very interesting game after listening to this. There are a lot of things to analyse and think about, even with the simplest phrases. So it actually gave me huge improvement in a short period of time! Thanks!
A lot of people ask me if it's possible to sound like a native speaker , well it's perfect! !!!!
One thing that is rarely mentioned: o's often have a bit of an "ah" sound to them, like in "a lot" (in contrast to British English for example). A's have something similar going on being nudged towards an "e" and "e"s are closer to an "i" like in "it" so than Americans saying "n" sometimes sounds a bit like "in"
Thank you so much! I'm learning English with my teacher in a small group, but your videos helps with nuances a lot :) it's great.
i'm chilean and enjoyed this lesson, thanks 💕

Great job, thanks so much, Rachel. I discover this channel yesterday, and you help me better very much. I'm Brazilian.
i feel so native now
So few language learners manage to ever sound like a native speaker, it's barely worth the effort. Unless you spend a large amount of time immersed in the language (years and years living in a different country perhaps), you'll always have your original accent. But that's okay. So you speak English with a French/German/Polish accent, big deal, accents are cool. I'd spend more time listening to native speakers and don't worry, your accent/pronunciation will adjust itself.
Chivas6 Probably because most native English speakers (in America) barely bother to learn their native language to begin with, and it's easier to understand foreign speakers using English. LOL
Dakarn
I've found that non native speakers often do find it easier to understand other non native speakers. This is most likely because non native speakers use much simpler phrasing and vocabulary.
Chivas6 It's only because, grammar-wise, English is basically backwards from every other language in the world.
Dakarn
What do you mean?
Chivas6 English Grammar: Noun/Pronoun Verb Subject (She went to the store.)
Where-as .. say .. German : Sie hat zu das geschäft gegangen. Noun/Pronoun Tense Subject Verb. Where English is strict on where the verb lies in the sentence, most other languages, depending on the tense, as long as the verb is in there, it's fine.
