A while ago, I received a message from Bernadette asking if we could do a collab together. As usual, I was up for it and let her pick the song haha. She chose the Distant Worlds concert version of Memoro de la Stono.
This was a fun arrangement to create since it really hasn't been done before. It's also essentially two songs in one so it took a little extra work to get it done haha. But I think it turned out sounding great! As usual, this was done by ear so I don't have any sheet music available. Aside from a few notes I wrote in that little book but that wouldn't be much help haha..

Really awesome rendition of this piece. Both vocals and piano parts are fantastic, but the piano arrangement really is what this is all about.

Five years late to this video, but thank you for doing such a beautiful rendition of one of my all-time favorite pieces of music. Depression is difficult, but being able to think back on my favorite memories of FFXI, thanks to this song, is a huge help.

This is my favorite FF song of all time and this piano arrangement is amazing well done sir. I would pay you a ridiculous amount of money to make sheet music to your arrangement (very serious) I would love to play this at a recital.
Both of you were excellent! I've gone to the distant worlds concerts on multiple occasions and the piano arrangement is something I've wanted terribly bad to learn. Your edition is near 100% and so I'm hoping to learn by ear and sight from your video! Would you happen to have the unedited video too with you both just playing and her singing? I'd love to study both separately if possible for a potential improvisation. :^)
+phillysmost911 Thanks! I don't think there are many piano arrangements out there for this distant worlds version unfortunately. I haven't really checked though haha. Unfortunately I don't have the individual video files anymore though. :(

+E Yang There aren't any. I do it by ear and write it in my head. I make a few little notes in that notebook you see on the piano but it's just tiny reminders for certain parts since the song is so long haha. :P

+E Yang No I don't, sorry. And what I wrote in the little book is just mainly nonsensical reminders for very specific parts haha. I don't usually write down anything unfortunately. :(

+E Yang Haha thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed them. And you're in luck! I'm actually just finishing up another collab cover with Bernadette (the singer in this video) for an FF10 song! It's just being mixed at the moment, but hopefully will be uploaded in the coming week. It's Suteki Da Ne, based on the Distant Worlds version. I think it's going to sound great, Bernadette really has an awesome voice. :D
