Entire MOTU line is build on reuse bodies and in much bigger scale and nobody cares, it's part of that brand. Transformers have so many repaints too, also NECA with Predators and Aliens... Why is so problem at Marvel Legends? As NECA creators says, repaints make money for new sculpts.
Is motu charing 35 dollars for a basic figure in windowless packaging ? NO Motu offers more plastic and better accessories on average at a lower price point thanks for listing out the other brands doing it better at a similar price or cheaper. Legends now priced with neca predators (35 to 40 bucks) basically with 10x less accessories and 10x less sculpting detail and 10x less packaging appeal the problem is not the reuse specifically its the value per dollar and the value is not there and fake marvel influencers and fanboys keep praising and defending lazy bare minimum products. Similar to how you just tried to defend them at there current price point.
@@ArticulatedNinja exactly. for 30 to 35 dollars, you should feel like you're getting your money's worth. most legends, I'm never really wowed by them when I get them in hand. mcfarlane is the opposite. the promo pictures look terrible but the figures look way better in hand. plus, they're 20 bucks (40 for megafigs). the only cons I can think of is working on the scale between figures, lil more paint and some more hands but tbh, most of the accessories end up staying in a box somewhere so that part isn't really that important to me. they could improve on the ab crunch. people cry about thigh swivel but I could care less. it just seems like a redundant point of articulation when you can turn at the ankles. thigh swivels only matter if you wanna put them in a crisscross apple sauce position like a kid sitting on the floor in pe.
Isn't parts reuse a primary aspect of every brand? It's not just Marvel Legends. It's MOTU Classics, Origins, and Revelations. It's Valaverse, Mythic/Cosmic Legions, JoyToy, Boss Fight, Marauders, Mafex, etc... The practice is manifesting more in more in 3rd party transformers with mulitple recolors, rereleases, and remolds. It's the only economical way to put out product without going bankrupt. In many ways it's beneficial for creating uniformity across a brand, but one does run the risk of over saturation. That's probably the biggest crime of Marvel Legends. (That and collectors finally realizing they don't matter as much they'd like to think they do)
@@trialsandtribulations7181 the problem is not reuse its the newer price point they put themselves in without increasing the value of the product in anyway. But at this point lets just say your right I explained myself enough in the video if they were still around 19.99 nobody would care but now they are about $35 for nothing new just a standard blank repaint.
I’m getting really sick of the price increase because “plastic shortage” and “licensing” when the quality is getting worse and you can’t even see the figure anymore before purchasing so potentially every figure will have QC issues. All of this has become a boiling point to where I may just get imports at this point.
No value 25 dollars for nothing. They are struggling because new disney characters do not sell...so they increase prices and repaint classic pieces over and over. Yet non of the savings go towards fans.
With the windowless boxing, there has been a problem with the Spidey Mary Jane 2 pack. Folks are taking the spiders and throwing wwe figures in there. That's messed up. I think I've lost faith too. 😔
Yeah, I’m starting to feel the same way. I went from completist to now getting only what I want. I never praised that GORR for people to buy. I told them straight up that it’s not worth the $30 in my videos. LOL! I feel you on this video bro. Keep doing your thang, Boricua. 😎👊🏽🇵🇷
Manny showing love i appreciate it and we all know you not on that list of influencers that just tell people to buy anything legends , yea i know did tell em its not worth it but we know many that believe it is. Its annoying praising a company clearly barely trying for nothing other then max profit margins. And that's ok I get it just not for me i hope legends start to increase the value of what they offer since they so quick to increase the price. 🤜🤛 #Boricua
I’m in the same boat. Started collecting legends in 2014 and within a year of collecting became a completist too. X-Men was always my main passion but with the price and quality I didn’t mind buying other things at all and it quickly became me wanting everything. My passion started to dwindle with the rerelease of BAFs as single deluxe figures or in multipacks. I still purchased the upgraded figures though because I still loved legends and pricing wasn’t a major turn off at that time. Fast forward to this year though I have narrowed my collection down from roughly 1,200 legends to around 600 due to price increases making me less inclined to collect teams I didn’t care as much about, reuse being worse than ever as well as quality and now I can’t even see the figures paint apps in stores due to windowless packaging. It’s sad seeing a line I loved so much become something I hardly ever am actually excited for now. This is the first year I won’t be backing a legends haslab either.
As a fairly new collector I’m actually grateful for some of their re releases cause I missed a lot of those early figures but I’m getting to a point where I’m getting all the figs that I want so now I’m extremely picking and choosing what I buy, also I don’t buy any repaints like all those Spideys they released this year and last so now I really don’t care about 95% of what they release, the last ones I preordered were Dark Phoenix and Spiral, so yeah I get your point
I’m at the same state. I’ve honestly felt better serviced buying McFarlane’s DC Multiverse especially with their Blackest Night Wave. For $100 you get 4 uniquely sculpted figures at a bigger scale AND a 9 inch Atrocitus that’s also a brand new sculpt. Meanwhile, Hasbro has managed to nostalgia-bait people into buying a $90 Spiderman 3-pack all because 2 of those 3 three figures are new sculpts.
But I think the spider-man pack is worth it, they have the accessories for them. Which I think is pretty cool. But then yeah again they are basically using the same stuff over and over. Your comment is a good argument though.
Hasbro just announced a yellow Daredevil included with Marvel Unlimited for $99. That figure is a repaint of the yellow Daredevil from 2016, which was in turn a repaint of the red Daredevil from 2015 WHICH IN TURN is a repaint of the 2012 Bucky mold. 10 YEARS OF BUCKY CAP. Ridiculous, I was sick of it by 2014-2015.
Same here my dude. I've been buying Super 7 and I'm loving the figures. I've also been delving into Mythic legions and man the difference is staggering. I love the Marvel Legends I have but I find it hard to get myself to even want to buy ML due to Boxes and price not to mention no accessories for the most part.
That base price of 24.99 is atrocious. These should not exceed 19.99. Years ago, I was in contact with a local toy dealer that talked to a Hasbro rep at a toy show weeks prior. This was around the time that Hasbro acquired ML from Toybiz. Remember what you could get from an 8.99 ML Toybiz figure? The Hasbro rep said that Toybiz was charging too little for all that stuff. Hasbro took away a lot and started charging more. And here we are today.
I remember when ToyBiz Legends were $7.99....then they went up to like $12/15. Hasbro came along, and bam! $20 price. Like you said, they said ToyBiz wasn't charging enough lol.
I’m so glad you did a 20 minute video talking about me or I would never know who you are this video that I just watched might be the best video on CZcams thank you for taking the time
Exactly. Thought that for a while now, all the other Hasbro lines like Power Rangers, Fortnite and G.I. Joe, have better articulation and more accessories for the price.
The repaint for 1 or 2 figures a wave I get to offset cost, it's the price increase that took me out like powerturtlebuster reviews was saying. Paying more for less. Todd putting our figures of multiple properties even through the pandemic at break neck speeds, while hasbro kept talking about precedented times and acted like they were struggling. But now the prices went up they are dropping figures like crazy. Weird how that happened
Without plastic on front they are supposed reducing cost but it really doesn’t look like at all. They give you less for more money, it’s really disappointing
Just bought the whole bonebreaker wave on clearance at target 12.99 a figure. That's the only way I buy legends now is sales but I agree with everything you said about legends in this video
I agree completely! Especially the influencer part. They let so many problems slide because hasbro sends them figures. I like how you spoke your mind. I’ll pick a few up but I’ll never pay $30 for a Bucky cap or pizza spidey mold. Never sellout bro!
Never bro im getting that 3 pack you spoke off before n calling it a day even i know im even getting ripped off on that but oh well 😂 was gonna make a mcfarlane video but you already killed that one so i had to focus on marvel 😂
I agree with you 100%, but I kinda like the Gorr the God Butcher figure. I did notice the feet, but I didn't know that it was a complete repaint of another figure.
I just came back to collecting and I have to say that the prices they charge now compared back then and what you get, damn. The last ML figure I got is the 20th anniversary cap then I stopped.
Hell yeah. This would be the only way I would even consider the current Haslab Robbie Reyes: If the figure was Mafex level premium with the car, and include the civilian Robbie as well, it would be worth the price. But the current offering is a very mid repaint. The headsculpt is good, but the body looks like standard cartoony Legends body to me...
AMEENN AMEEEN AMEEEEEEEENNNNNN man, if only these toy "influencers" watched this and swallowed their pride. I a million percent agree with this. Influencers are basically paid promoters and salesmen.
Same here dude . I'm stacking my paper now they just cost to much and most are just repaints just facts . Not to mention we get nothing with our figures these days I'm done .
Thank you stating what I sincerely feel about Hasbro's ML brand. It is comforting to hear someone else articulate the same feelings I have shared within the last 6-8 months. If dedication and commitment are forsaken by the manufacturer to justify keeping costs comparable to value, I understand. To oppose and misguide the brand to increase the prices instead (while lowering the quality) dismisses collecting their product as a hobby. Perhaps Hasbro could recognize their faulty direction and focus on the issues that hold a higher priority over the needs of their collectors - their black hole of a distribution network. The bottom line for the boardroom is money. Lower quality + higher prices + less product for public consumption + unquestionably lousy character selection and design = a soon to be tax right off for Hasbro with at least three faces unemployed. 11 billion dollars in revenue people. And they expect reasonable collectors to fork over their $$$ for a Venom with wings (that appeared in 2 comic book panels?) that disengages the articulation of the figure to a statue-state. If you can port them on it. 11 billion dollars. REVENUE. One would think someone at Hasbro rationalized 10 billion dollars was not enough, so lets push the consumers, and see if the marketplace follows. Hasbro has a lot to learn about greed.
The problem with marvel legends is that there's too much. we get like 18-20 figures for the baf series of the year, then the deluxes, retro cards, and exclusives. it feels like Hasbro is banking on having 90% of these on clearance. This is the case here overseas, since we pay 5-10$ more on retail. Hasbro is pulling the same shit they did for transformers; having the influencers and community leaders placate the dent-head with their pignosis.
I just started to make enough money to start collecting I'm just trying to get the better version of what I had and some that I didn't even know of or didn't exist back then like Iron Spidey. But I am not a completionist
I barely buy legends anymore except for the occasional figure that strikes my fancy, but classified is my jam nowadays. An example i like to give is the wwe dx line of figures, you get an accurate face, well articulated figure, accessories and two pieces of soft goods all for twenty dollars so what's marvels excuse exactly?
Honestly man I quit buying marvel legends like crazy. At this point I only own very few marvel legends as I saw that molds where being used again and again and again! I feel you brother! Though I'm guilty of getting that no way home figure. 🤣
I’m with you 100 percent…. At this point I can buy cheaper figures to customize for the price of these marvel legends, which will be more detailed and accurate than the cheap paint apps they give us
100% agree I’m extremely selective when it comes to marvel legends these days just pick up the very rare comic release like the Amazon exclusive Venom 3 pk but I’m all in on classified line they utilize clever reuse mixing arms legs torsos etc not just repainting the same mold over and over, also buying a lot of DC multiverse lately.. dark days are ahead for Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series thanks to Disney.
As someone who started collecting again last year, I'm close to being in the same boat but I'm missing plenty characters I want, and seems like a bad time now more than ever to get em. But getting more selective/patient, waiting for discounts etc. Black series is also seemingly in a bad place at least worth-wise. When they mold something new you get punished for it with a deluxe price on some bullshit. If the licensing fees are mostly to blame (idk how bad it is) then damn some people need to get together and work a new deal out. If you can't afford to put out quality products cuz you're paying too much for the privilege, noone really wins except Disney. Until people stop buying so damn much
@@gmedrano3720 It'd be super tough for me to switch like that but I've thought about it, the benefits probably outweigh the issues. The kit bashing possibilities alone are a good enough excuse for me, plus I feel I'm all in on 6 inch scale at this point, minus some McFarlanes I cant resist
I've always bought just the figures I wanted but i too have cut back. I usually buy the z-lister characters like Rock Python, White Rabbit and Frog Man. The thing that gets me more than just simply reusing bodies is some of the choices for those bodies. Some are pretty clever but then you get Sleepwalker and D'Spayre on bodies far too small to represent them properly. Using the Gwen Stacy body on Marvel Girl puts her at a different scale than the other Jean Grey figures.
I feel you. I've been cherry picking Marvel figures for years. I basically pick figures I have nostalgia for, like the 80th anniversary Avengers figures or the 30th anniversary Captain America , or obscure figures like Death-lock or Captain Mar-Vel.
That same Deathlok now would be a pulse con haslab disney + whatever exclusive for $39.99. Legendary Riders went from $8/10 to $50, now they'd be $80. By the beginning of next year, Legends are gonna cost the same as Mafex. No more objectively can't compare the two lines since one's a premium import company.
its no different with WWE, Mattel & their Elites etc. Theyve used the same molds since 2010. They still use some headsculpts from 2010 when the line first started.
Is motu charing 35 dollars for a basic figure in windowless packaging ? No Neither is wrestling figures Motu and wrestling figures are bigger offering more plastic and better accessories on average at a lower price point. Legends now priced with neca predators (35 to 40 bucks) basically with 10x less accessories and 10x less original sculpting detail and 10x less packaging appeal the problem is not the reuse specifically its the value per dollar and the value is not there and fake marvel influencers and fanboys keep praising and defending lazy bare minimum products.
ML is still my number 1 line for collecting, but I've become more selective with the figures over the last couple of years. Yes, repaints suck, but it does allow for a higher amount of more obscure figures to be produced, as opposed to just more versions of Iron Man, Wolverine and Spider-Man being made. I do also appreciate that the figures are slowly getting better, even if it's not happening very fast. The pinless joint tech being applied is something I've waited a very long time for, so even though I'm being more selective, I'm still going to stick with the line.
my sentiments exactly. enough with the painted gloves and boots, the price raise already sucks, the uninspired reused body mold plus the bazillion times they keep releasing different versions of the same character is killing my love for this toy line.
This company has been lazy from the jump, in 2007 they reused the toybiz molds? Like really, reuse the molds from the previous company and give them worse paint jobs? This was for the Spider-Man 3 6 inch figures and they’ve been trying to cut corners since the beginning, trying to have 5 inch figures for the Spider-Man 3 line also. The toybiz move figures were killer, and hasbro robbed us of an epic Spider-Man 3 line. From the start they didn’t care about the buyer, it isn’t gonna change.
Church!!!!! I’ve been cut back on ML… it’s sad to have so much great material misused… shout out to you for point out the obvious, we need more voices like yours gang
I rarely buy Legends these days and it's depressing because that was the main thing I was collecting for years. Prices raising with re-used molds is forcing me out. I would've went all in on the X-Men VHS repaints though because I waited for figures in that style since Hasbro got the license- but they did the horrible cel shading and ruined them 😩
I agree with you but I stopped in 2020. I buy now 1 or 2% of there figures now. I recently bought the Renew Your Vows 2 pack. Before that was the Hydro Stomper.
Really nice video with a lot of great points. I was really surprised by all the praise for Gorr too, and the Captain America side-by-side was a nice touch
Me too, I cancelled Apocalypse, Scorpion and many others, they are lowering the quality, the paint, releasing years old figures and engineering, re-use, while being a multi billion dollar company they are severely cheaping out and disrespecting the consumers and fans who have been loyal for years. They want to fool a new group and set a new high base line eventually for what they can get away with charging, and are running off all the old collectors and those unwilling to pay. When a lot of the old versions were better and cheaper, selling newer, more expensive, lower quality and less paint versions for people is just an insult for those who know, those who don't know are being tricked and scammed, and those who give in are only helping Hasbro to ruin things for all of us and themselves to. Everyone should always want the very best for the lowest possible, the highest quality for free being best of all, and what is next to that being the next best for the consumer and enjoyer, and so on, but Hasbro is moving in the direction of giving the least for the most cost to us, so that is not the direction anyone should want. They won't listen until most people stop. We demand better than this after giving the company so much. Do not buy!
Everything you said is 100% factual. I collected Legends for a good 10 years and finally sold my entire collection and stopped collecting new ones this year, once the trends you pointed out got noticeably worse and finally made me say enough is enough. And it got REALLY bad for me, because I, like most collectors, only collected comic based figures, but the comics based figures are the ones that Hasbro takes the most shortcuts with and makes look the cheapest, while jacking the prices on them up higher and higher. I'm glad I got out of collecting Legends when I did.
Damn bro you said a mouth full I've been got rid of my Marvel Legends 2 years ago same figures back to back repaints reissue and thank you to some people still collect this s***
This is why I am very selective when it comes to collecting Marvel Legends. If I have a decent comic book Spidey, Punisher, Ghost Rider and Iron Man then that do be it for me really.
At this point I am starting to wonder if there is better options for Marvel figures. Is SH Figuarts decent or do they have QC issues? I know MAFEX has its issues too right?
If you mainly collect Iron man or Spidey figures, you may want to take a look at ZD toys. Decent quality, generous amount of accessories and alt hands, for a fraction of what you'll pay for marvel legends. Plus their packaging is really good kinda like other premium brands.
100% Respect for the honest opinion. I've been collecting for a few years now and the majority of my collection is Legends. I'm fine with the reuse if done right, but the lack of accessories and rigorous use of outdated molds is getting old hands down "no hands if it's Legends". Gi Joe classified is fantastic for the price and they give you accessories for each figure. Recently got Croc Master and Storm Shadow awesome figures..... Legends are going downhill for the most part.... every now and then they nail it, I do like that they give us more obscure characters. That Amazon Spiderman 5 pack was a hard slap in the face....
I collected Marvel Universe. They’re smaller and I can work them into my 3.75” Joes if needed. My legend collection is barely big enough to even call a collection.
Just like you I only collect VERY specific legends anymore. When toybiz was making them I am pretty sure I had Atleast 85% , now because of all the repaints and price increase I probably buy one figure per every 3 or 4 waves that come out 😩 As for influencers…. You’re the only person that makes me run and buy the stuff you review because your opinion is on point and you’re so creative !
I have cancelled more Marvel Legends orders than ever lately. I used to buy 2 of each, one to open and let my kid play with and one to open and display or keep MOC. Now, if I buy, I get just one….and I am only buying what I LOVE, not what seems cool. Reuse is ok, but not when you aren’t getting what you pay for…the $22 to $24 to $27 to $30 to $35 price increase…..nope
Yeah man, I've been super pick and a choose when it comes to Legends lately as well. I would rather spend the $ on a different line that has more to offer or get an import or something, i just recently got on the wait list for that Mezco Gig from Hell box set, that set is right up my alley(i was a drummer for a few metal bands) I still haven't opened my series 1 Captain America since I got it back in series 1, any idea how hard it was to not open that? Lol.
My pre order came in for Toad in Canada its 45 plus tax I said thanks all pass on that. Definitely getting to the point where I buy one ML every 5 waves. Awesome video as usual
Buck reuse isn't really an issue if done right. We're talking about comic book superheroes who mostly wear form-fitting tights, so painting over the same bucks over and over isn't inherently a problem. They just need about 4 male bucks for various body types and maybe 3 for females, and they can paint over them all they want, occasionally adding some accessories, belts, shoulder pads, etc. and sometimes modifying a body part with texture or whatever... pockets etc. It's actually not a problem. But they need to make good bodies that actually look like the comic counterparts. Right anatomy. Right proportions. Hyperion sucks so much because it looks like a 5 year old made it.
They do no additional sculpting as you said u lucky if you get a belt they paint on one sculpt over that reused buck they dont sculpt boots nothing heroes no longer wearing skin tight outfits 😂 n even the ones that do have boots and ect. Nope they paint that as well forearm armor everything 😂 i agree reuse isnt the issue but just painting over that blank body over n over n over is without adding new texture sculpting or accessories
@@ArticulatedNinja Yeah, of course this only applies to most of the old school heroes who are pretty much all in spandex. Once they want to branch out and cover characters that wear boots, or have baggy clothing or what not or even just skin-tight outfit but with textured details, they need to retool their molds or just come up with new ones. Maybe I'm more neutral about this whole thing since I never collected everything ML. Always picked and chose, since I started when Hasbro took over with Returns of ML. But yeah I agree with all your points. Sucks to be a completionist these days, and honestly don't see a reason why anyone would keep buying all ML.
@@sshollowshinobi Have you seen the announcements recently? Fly man in that Spider-Man box set IS a bucky cap body and Darwin from bonebreaker wave is on a pizza spidey. They didn’t retire them
That list needs updating. They are STILL using that bucky cap mold in 2022, sleepwalker comes to mind. Look at the new?? ghost rider figure. I saw a comment on boogs channel where someone said dc multiverse are dominating marvel legends right now and boog laughed and said no way. Man these influencers so far up hasbros ass its unreal. Do better hasbro, before you kill this line for good.
I realized this a few years ago. It started slowing down. Then when multiverse started coming out, I pretty much stopped buying legends all together save for very specific character families and even then Im very picky. The bafs can't even bring me back.
I totally agree too. I have no problem paying more for more. They are cutting corners and increasing the price. I'm very selective in what I buy now. More and more I get a figure, and carry it around for a bit, then I end up just putting it back. I've been buying only what I really like. I know this isn't Marvel Legends related, but the one new mold that they did for Transformers ended up as a Walmart exclusive. Not only that, they short packed it...putting only one in each case. Scalpers have been having a field day with that one. And no, I am not paying scalper's prices for that.
Well speaking for myself. I have been a comic book reader since 1973 yup 73 and I have gone through the mego, metel , toy biz era’s and I love seeing all of my characters I have been reading for 50 years be represented on the shelves. All of you collectors are so spoiled. Wah wah wah I want , I deserve more. Wah wah wah!! Back in my youth I would have never thought I would see a razorback or a spy master or a grey gargoyle and so on and so on be on my shelf in a actual articulated Poseable figure. So my old 56 year old collector loves to see these toys. It is like a friend thought I would never see . So yes tge prices are a bit higher then they should be. But as you said your in control of your collection and how you go about growing it. But when it comes down to it hasbro and McFarlane who are the leaders in this business are out to make money. So you can either keep crying about it, choose to not buy them or enjoy the ones you do buy. Whatever you choose keep collecting and enjoying your action figures.
Im fine with the reusing of sculpts of bodies when it comes to comic figures, since most of them have a similar anatomy and form, but the prices are really unjustified
The last one I got was Walgreens Jigsaw, and it was close to $30, and wasn't exactly happy with it, still in the box. The last one before that was Wong, and only Wong from that wave. 🤷 I want Ned and Peter, we'll see, but I don't really care for them anymore.
What killed it for me was the price, 30 for a spiderman is insano. Reuse doesn’t really make me upset, as a MOTU collector, it’s just par for the course for the same body over and over again. But hasbro reuse is lazy
I'm in the same state as well because I haven't bought a marvel legends figures since July the last figure that I bought was the black suit spiderman from the sandman wave the only figures I'll probably going to pick up is the iron spider and the first appearance spiderman
I'm done with Marvel Legends just for the price alone. It's not worth what they are asking for at all. It would be neat to see a video of your Marvel Legends figures that have different sculpts. Like your definitive versions of the characters.
They may aswell be sold on the second hand market on a lower price. Hell, I found a Marvel Legend in full packaging sold for 11.00, which should be the price for figures with little to no accessories. and the sunfire body mold is doo doo.
I’ve been collecting for 18 years now. Legends have been my bread and butter. Over the last 3 years the lack of accessories and now this price hike has killed the line from me. I can afford the line but the value just isn’t there. When I can purchase a mythic legion/cosmic legion or a Action Force for the same price with plentiful accessories and a quality product. I would rather purchase custom head sculpts and parts for the figures I already own. Support small businesses because we know big businesses don’t care about the consumer.
@@ArticulatedNinja don't get me wrong I still buy legends but I have a look if it meets my criteria I get it but I also go to flea markets and local toy stores and get the deals ,so I can do my Frankenstein work lol
I mostly agree. There have always been those stand out legends, ones with amazing head sculpts or just a new body that fits well. You can look at a shelf and tell which are "new" and which are repaints, with the price going up it increases that quality gap, the repaints just don't look good at a price above $19.99. Last legend I bought was the 80th anniversary Captain America and I dont have any I plan to pick up ATM. Basically just looking for upgrades in my Marvel vs Capcom collection at this point. I'm more tempted by Power Ranger releases these days, GI Joe has almost gotten me to buy some too lol.
Started streamlining my Marvel Legends starting with the MCU figures then Spidey figures. Only collected X-Men until last year, with so many repaints I already stopped buying Marvel Legends. My last ML figures will be Vulcan anf Siryn and they will be the last. Will only concentrate with the GI Joe Classified line and a little bit of Action Force
The closest line I can think of would be Mattel, who took over the WWE license in 2008. They didn't have a gap where they stopped producing figures, and they've definitely had more SKUs under that brand.

Same marvel legends is not worth it anymore might as well buy an shf or mafex instead
With the windowless boxing, there has been a problem with the Spidey Mary Jane 2 pack. Folks are taking the spiders and throwing wwe figures in there. That's messed up. I think I've lost faith too. 😔
There's a plastic shortage?
It's made out of oil , there's plenty of oil or is it the plastic factories shortage?
Imagine if toybiz was out making figures today, all their figures would be bangers
Most likely yea 🔥
@@Oreo__. be gone shill
😂 well worded you got me over here cracking up
Dude the Bucky cap mold is STILL in use…parts of it certainly are…arms, legs, especially those awful small ass feet
😂😂😂
Same here my dude. I've been buying Super 7 and I'm loving the figures. I've also been delving into Mythic legions and man the difference is staggering. I love the Marvel Legends I have but I find it hard to get myself to even want to buy ML due to Boxes and price not to mention no accessories for the most part.
I can dig it! $25 - $40 for a figure with no accessories. I'll pass. No thank you.
same here
Get into 1/6 figures. You’ll appreciate the figures more.
I moved to hot toys. Reason is I feel happier with hot toys, despite paying the extra money.
I left Marvel Legends alone months ago and sold all of the Legends that I owned. It was a fun time, but that chapter is closed in my collecting life.
I’m so glad you did a 20 minute video talking about me or I would never know who you are this video that I just watched might be the best video on CZcams thank you for taking the time
I appreciate that art thanks 🤜🤛
I feel mcu figures are more worth paying the money for since everything is usually new sculpt and new extra shit.
Yea 12.99 id pick them up to no questions asked 😂
Is this clearance nation wide? I've been waiting for a sale for those figures.
@@holonet1 targets are preparing for the mind controller wave so the bonebreaker wave is on clearance to make space
only wish it is same here.....too bad it is not

I agree completely! Especially the influencer part. They let so many problems slide because hasbro sends them figures. I like how you spoke your mind. I’ll pick a few up but I’ll never pay $30 for a Bucky cap or pizza spidey mold. Never sellout bro!
Never bro im getting that 3 pack you spoke off before n calling it a day even i know im even getting ripped off on that but oh well 😂 was gonna make a mcfarlane video but you already killed that one so i had to focus on marvel 😂
@@ArticulatedNinja that’s what’s up man!
Nowadays i buy toybiz figures cuz hasbro legends sucks at making Spiderman figures since they can't make wall crawling hands
I agree with you 100%, but I kinda like the Gorr the God Butcher figure. I did notice the feet, but I didn't know that it was a complete repaint of another figure.
So, I am picking up Marvel Legends figures for the variety of characters that I care about. Just got that Blue Marvel. It's fire 🔥.
Yea his head sculpt looks really good
They should be $15 a figure period.
I just came back to collecting and I have to say that the prices they charge now compared back then and what you get, damn. The last ML figure I got is the 20th anniversary cap then I stopped.
You hit the nail on the head. I’d much rather spend $100 and get Mafex
Ahmen brother ! Same here. Im tired of having to repaint and even resculpt certain marvel legends.
AMEENN AMEEEN AMEEEEEEEENNNNNN man, if only these toy "influencers" watched this and swallowed their pride. I a million percent agree with this. Influencers are basically paid promoters and salesmen.
And they barely get paid to be such sellouts 😂
Same here dude . I'm stacking my paper now they just cost to much and most are just repaints just facts . Not to mention we get nothing with our figures these days I'm done .
I never was a completionist, only get the ones I need and not the ones I want
Well worded man well worded 🔥
@@ArticulatedNinja bro - your video said it all!
Good point well worded
Until people stop buying so damn much
I stopped buying black series a few months back. I sold most of them and switched to the vintage collection.
Good points
Thank you
I agree most of my custom mold are the same body and the prices are getting nuts with them too
Its definitely getting tough with how silly the prices are getting especially when they put shit we want into 2 and 3 packs with shit we don't want.
its no different with WWE, Mattel & their Elites etc.
Theyve used the same molds since 2010.
They still use some headsculpts from 2010 when the line first started.
Is motu charing 35 dollars for a basic figure in windowless packaging ? No Neither is wrestling figures
Motu and wrestling figures are bigger offering more plastic and better accessories on average at a lower price point.
Yah know what’s kinda weird is that none of the new figures that just came out and arrived in my area have not had any of the price increases
That's a good weird man lol
My toybiz Mr sinister and many other Toybiz classics can't be beat!
Can anybody tell me the name of the figures or the brand of those ultramarines or dark angels??
I have a video up dedicated to just those figures.
my sentiments exactly. enough with the painted gloves and boots, the price raise already sucks, the uninspired reused body mold plus the bazillion times they keep releasing different versions of the same character is killing my love for this toy line.
Good points
Church!!!!! I’ve been cut back on ML… it’s sad to have so much great material misused… shout out to you for point out the obvious, we need more voices like yours gang
I appreciate it thanks 🙏
I rarely buy Legends these days and it's depressing because that was the main thing I was collecting for years. Prices raising with re-used molds is forcing me out. I would've went all in on the X-Men VHS repaints though because I waited for figures in that style since Hasbro got the license- but they did the horrible cel shading and ruined them 😩
I agree with you but I stopped in 2020. I buy now 1 or 2% of there figures now. I recently bought the Renew Your Vows 2 pack. Before that was the Hydro Stomper.
Yes that stomper was nice to me 🔥
Legends' quality is never consistent. Has pinless tech but can't do it for every figure, smh.
Really nice video with a lot of great points. I was really surprised by all the praise for Gorr too, and the Captain America side-by-side was a nice touch
Their paint job is none existent nowadays. It's as if I'm buying the laziest pre-assembled plastic model without any additional paint.
😂
Toybiz ML's were phenomenal and affordable, every Marvel legend I see now has no detail or shading.
Ahhh yes the good ol toybiz days
@@ArticulatedNinja Back when even the accessories had detail to them, hell the hand guns compared to what you get today is a joke
I'm on the verge of quitting Marvel Legends as well. Price increase and the amount of repaints is not worth it.
I pretty much only buy Marvel Legends if they're discounted. I just bought Vulcan and the new Sabretooth at Target for $12.50 each.
When toybiz was making them I am pretty sure I had Atleast 85% , now because of all the repaints and price increase I probably buy one figure per every 3 or 4 waves that come out 😩
As for influencers…. You’re the only person that makes me run and buy the stuff you review because your opinion is on point and you’re so creative !
Big facts bro! Bonebreaker wave is getting cleared out at Target. 4/7 of the set are down to $12.50, hopefully this trend continues lmao.
Switching it up to McFarlane and Valaverse for more bang for the buck.
I feel the same. I only get characters that I loved back when I use to collect and read comics and main characters
I concur sir..and they jacked up the price.....wow..Awesome VID man
All this is big facts. That's why I literally collect most mcfarlane figures both Dc and Spawn an mortal kombat
You would think Hasbro would at least justify the high prices they charge for new figures by saying..
"At least were giving you new molds"...😒
Legends are 44.99 CAD here in Quebec. We almost hitting 50$ for a standard release now.
Lol.
can you tell me witch one will be more valuable
I significantly had stopped buying Legends. For me it's the character selection. I like more comic characters. Price doesn't bother me too much.
My pre order came in for Toad in Canada its 45 plus tax I said thanks all pass on that. Definitely getting to the point where I buy one ML every 5 waves. Awesome video as usual
Thanks 🙏 and yea i agree in there every 10 waves i ll get 1 😂
Buck reuse isn't really an issue if done right.
He keeps saying theyre reusing the bucky and pizzabodys, yet they have retired those
@@ArticulatedNinja Yeah, of course this only applies to most of the old school heroes who are pretty much all in spandex.
They didn’t retire them
@@JayL8899 yknow ngl i completely forgot about that because it was so Mid LOL
I’d really like to get those new Disney+ waves but yeah after my galactus gets here I’m kinda done
This aged like a fine wine.
Yea i speak with my money unlike others who continue to buy everything and cry or act like nothing is wrong 😂
Man. Someone telling it how it is. Very refreshing. You got my sub bro 💯
I'm in the same state as well because I haven't bought a marvel legends figures since July the last figure that I bought was the black suit spiderman from the sandman wave the only figures I'll probably going to pick up is the iron spider and the first appearance spiderman
the good marvel legends are heading to exclusive packs hard to get. while the retail get the crappy ones..
I'm already selective.
I'm done with Marvel Legends just for the price alone. It's not worth what they are asking for at all. It would be neat to see a video of your Marvel Legends figures that have different sculpts. Like your definitive versions of the characters.
Yea i gotta work on that one 🔥
They need to manufacture toys in good old America . Then most of these issues would disappear
Bro where did you get that RC tank from?👍🏼🔥
I gor vids up on my channel
You are 200% right that's why I do custom work if I see something I want to do I figure out what to use and do my own shit
I Respect it want something you do it yourself
I dunno man; that ToyBiz looking a lot finer than the modern. 🧐
😂 yea some angles def. Lol
That first toybiz Capt America I bought for 7.50$ in 2003 compaired to 40$ after tax and shipping today
The closest line I can think of would be Mattel, who took over the WWE license in 2008. They didn't have a gap where they stopped producing figures, and they've definitely had more SKUs under that brand.
Shit, I just slapped down the money for the Mafex Jean Grey. Probably gonna slap down more for the Mafex Storm and Psylocke.
