I originally started watching your channel for FAB content but found these old ccg vids and had to watch! I love MEccg as well as the TCG by Decipher. Old card games are a passion of mine. I honestly don't think we will ever see any games with such vibrance and lore and emphasis on theme ever again.

Strange the placement of the rares, had a couple of box for the wizards set (and saw some unboxing too) and rares are usualy right after the 3 uncommons. Guess it is a thing for your box and the boxes that came in the same case/pallet. I had one box with where all the rares were upsidedown lol

All of the female characters of the Mannish race get that buff against Nazgul attacks. It's a major buff.

I'm a Tolkien fan and never knew about the CCG. Where do I start; where to buy those boosters, starter guides etc. Do I play it by myself or can I play with my cards online like MTG arena for example?
I'm very curious. I would love to have these cards only for my Tolkien collection also.

This game is very hard to find. You can play it by yourself but I'm not sure if there's any online applications. I'd check places like Ebay, Potomac Distribution and Hills Wholesale Gaming

No problem! Basically I use a Canon Rebel SL2 with a Rode Videomic Pro attached to it for the "talking head" segments. For the top-down card view I still use my Canon Rebel SL2 but I also use a Turtlebeach headset as I find the mic is much nicer than my Rode. I also use a standard 3 point lighting setup with umbrella lights. For editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I hope that helps! :)

@@RedZoneRogue Thx so much for your reply! My daughter and I have a nerdy podcast, and one of the things we're into is tabletop games. We're setting up a YT channel to do IRL gameplay vids + unboxings of books, games, and essential nerd gear! I've got a handful of MECCG booster boxes--can't wait!

Please don't open the dark minions, after against the shadow it's the hardest booster box to get hold of. I can't find a single one online right now. It would be like unboxing a first edition Starwars figure.

This video was posted in June and I've actually already opened it, just never got around to editing the video. To me it's just like opening rare Pokemon or Magic the Gathering packs - I LOVE watching ABU MTG openings and vintage Pokemon openings precisely because it's stuff I'll likely never own.
