I've used Genesis10x33 as my go to pair of binoculars to take on every vacation for a number of years now. They are small yet deliver excellent image quality with a respectable wide angle view. In low light conditions they give up some brightness as they are after all a mid size objective size. They are a great performer and I believe that anyone would be very pleased with how they perform.

@@GM-bq6zoThese 10X33s are the only "midsize" I own but I do have a full size pair of Zeiss victory and Swaro ELs. both are completely excellent binos but I have never compared their midsize versions to the Kowa Genesis 33s. It is likely that you could pick up a pair of Genesis 33s considerably cheaper than you could the current midsize zeiss or Swaros and it isn't likely that you would be giving up much at all with regard to optics or build quality.
