Greetings from a wonderful day in Torrance! Hi John! The beginning of the video had me in stitches. Sometimes when my mother is on a roll she will tap both sides of the machine. I call it the A.L.T. or Asian Love Tap. I used to give her a funny look every time she did that, but then I realized that I can't make fun because she usually wins or comes out even. I hope your Mom’s foot is getting better and better and that she’s able to get back to Pechanga now that the weather is getting warmer. It’s been cold and wet over here for months now. John, I was playing next to a person just like in your intro. Every time she held a card on the left side, or right side & hit the draw button her hands would go up in the air. She had this rhythm going & I couldn't stop laughing so I had to get up & move because she kept looking at me and as I was leaving I looked back at her from behind and she looked like LIBERACE playing the piano. Maybe she was a professional concert pianist. Too funny 🤣🤣

Thank you for your comments, Chuck. I may not exactly rise to the level of being a pro player, (since there are better players out there than me when it comes to all the different game varieties), but I have had considerable luck with the game in the way that I play it. Only time will tell, but if I’m able to pull off even just a few more high denomination wins (on $25, $50, & $100 coin denominations), then I would say that there is some merit, at least, in the way that I approach the game. I caught that one just in the nick of time!😅 Quads hit (on “average”) approximately every 425 hands or so, and I wanted to be there to “catch it” at a higher coin denomination when it did. I’ve caught 6 $20,000 Royal Flushes in the same way. Thanks for watching.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Thank you for your comments. There are some great games and pay tables to be found at the Palms. So, yes, I do recommend visiting it. It’s not a place you’d walk to from the Strip; but by car, it is literally right next door and a mere few minutes away. I also recommend playing at Durango too, which is 20 minutes away from the Strip, but totally worth going to. Good luck on your Vegas adventures at these 2 casinos!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Thank you for liking my videos. And, yes, you’re quite right about holding 3 to the Royal (a 1 in 1,081 shot) over holding the small pair 5’s. I totally missed that one. Even with that mistake, I hit trip 5’s for 15 coins, so it didn’t hurt me in this instance. But, you are so right, holding 3 to the Royal, over the small pair, is the correct play. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I must “be slipping”!☺️🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Yes, indeed, that was an amateurish “gamble” on my part by trying to force a Straight (rather than holding the small pair) and it cost me at least a 3 of a kind, or a potential Full House, or possibly even Quad 10’s. However, Quad 10’s & Quad Queens saved the day in this video. The bottom line is that everybody makes mistakes in video poker. Minimizing those mistakes contributes to a better outcome over the long term. But one thing for sure, is that; a player can hold all the correct cards and hit a Royal, and they can hold the incorrect cards and still hit a Royal (such as incorrectly holding a solo 10 card😂), and they can also hold no cards and still be dealt a Royal. There’s 2,598,690 possible hands in video poker. I have never met anyone who has never made a mistake in video poker, nor have I ever met anyone who will never make a mistake in video poker. Even sticky buttons leads to mistakes. In fact, mistakes are an integral part of the game, because every one makes them. I have made close to $500,000 on just Royal Flushes alone (with half of that coming from just $1,000), mistakes and all. My interest is in the greatest amount of money won for the least amount of money invested. I would trade that title for the perfect player title any day.🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopokermy brother in law, may he rest in peace, once threw away 2 jacks to go for the Royal just holding 2 cards & he got it! $5000 , this happened in the 90’s I was watching him play he was a great vp player, sometimes you have to take chances.
Why label it as $25/bet when you never bet $25 throughout the video?
Actually, this is the 1st part (of 5 part series) at the Palms. In this 1st video, I played the initial $175 House money bankroll through 3 coin denominations (50¢, $1, $2) and ended (just as I switched) to the $5 coin denomination. The other 4 videos will show a mix of play on mostly the $5 & $2 coin denominations ($25 & $10 a bet). I just re-titled this 1st video to reflect the $2 coin denomination play that you mentioned. You’ll see the $25 per bet in the next video. This introductory video just sets the stage for “how we arrived” at the $25 per bet off of a mere $175 House money bankroll.
