- In this video, we walk through how to install push piers below a home's foundation to prevent further foundation settling and sinking. By installing push piers, we are able to stop the sinking house in its tracks and prevent any further damage to the home.

Great video.
Thanks, Kevin! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice video. We're doing foundation work for our house next month with push piers and I had no clue.
Awesome, glad we could help! Let us know if you have any questions!
@@Therealsealllc Actually I do have a question. Is there a wait period after the foundation work is done to do other major renovation projects (landscaping, door installations etc.)? Or can we start immediately?
@@TheSudhirreddy You can start the renovations immediately. Once the house is supported, you're good to go!
How many push piers did you install. How much you ended up paying for the project?
Great video. Are push piers ok for single level houses? I’ve read that it’s only for heavier structures
Hi Joe! Push and Helical Piers can be simplified to "Heavy Weight Structure" and "Light Weight Structure" Piers.
Push Piers use the weight of the home to drive into the ground. So if the weight of the home is not heavy enough, you'll simply push the structure out of the ground instead of the pier into the ground.
Single story houses can use Push Piers, it just depends on their makeup. With a 4 foot poured concrete foundation and brick siding, Push Piers can be used. If the home is on a slab and wood siding, or you're supporting an addition or chimney, it's likely Helical Piers are the way to go.
Both accomplish the same thing. Both have different sizes to accommodate heavier and lighter loads. A reputable contractor in your area should be able to recommend the best pier for your situation. Just beware of anyone who says one or the other doesn't work. They both work, it's basic physics.
Where do you guys get the hydraulic ram mounts for the cylinder that pushes?
Hi Eric! We have a commercial supplier that makes them. They typically are made by pier suppliers.
Can you provide please a recommendation for someone who does this in NJ? Thank you.
Hi Laguna! Thanks for reaching out. For the New Jersey area, we would recommend reaching out to Hugo @ AM Shield @ (516) 289-9459. They have some great experience in Push Piers.
@@Therealsealllc Do you guys work in Canada?
Hi Michael! Unfortunately, we do not. We are in the Chicagoland area.
How long does this take? I have a 1018 square foot home that will need something similar. Trying to figure out what is best for our home!
Hi Hank!
Depending on how much of your home would need the piers, I would estimate about a week's project time to install piers on that size of a home.
Be sure you get multiple quotes from reputable contractors. *Read the Reviews* not just the overall ranking.
Any recommendations for push pier contractor in Baltimore Maryland?
Unfortunately we do not. We would suggest avoiding any company that sub-contracts the work out.
Best way to find a good company is to compare reviews on Yelp, BBB, Google, and Angie's. The company with the most consistent positive reviews is the best bet.
Be sure to read the complaints on BBB. It will show you how a business responds to issues. The BBB "Score" is irrelevant nowadays, where every company is awarded A+ regardless of how many complaints they have.
@@Therealsealllc Good idea. Thanks so much and btw, great video content.
@@ItsJustMeSmiley Thank you and you're welcome!
Well this change the interior foundation because my floors are uneven from the house settling?
Hi Luke! It may help with sloping floors, if the settlement is the cause. Sloping floors can also be a sign of I-Beam failure. Check out our I-Beam Installation Video to see what that's about.
I had similar issue. After lifting the house with push piers, the floors were not sloping but they were bouncy. In my case we found out that our bouncy floors was due to "Joist-less" system. We added mini joists for additional floor support. It's been going great since then.
@@TheSudhirreddy thanks for sharing your story! Yes, you can also have other issues associated with floor sloping. We're glad you were able to get your bouncy floors fixed!
This house is settling, huh? Giggle giggle.
Sure did! We were able to stop the movement with the installation of the push piers.
@@Therealsealllc how much was it for that owner
@@eriks8382 every job is different. It depends on how many piers are installed, the composition of the foundation wall also determines the spacing between the piers, which effects the amount of piers.
We have pricing videos as well that provide some insight into how the costs are calculated.
I have a company, doing push piers.
22 of of them.
My foundation back side settle about 3-6in. There doing a good job. But my garage side didn't move. And I ask and he said we are not really lifting but more of stability. I paying 41k for stability, I'm not happy.
I can send more details email. Layout what they told me and doing is two different things
Plus I have gopro footage
Hi Neil! I would check the contract with the company. Most piering jobs are just stabilizing the structure and not lifting. Lifting is generally charged as a separate line item as it requires more equipment and time.
In cases of just stabilizing, it is typically done because renovations have been done since the structure settled. If the structure was lifted, those renovations would be thrown out of square, causing cracking and damage.
If you want to send us an email, we'd be happy to take a look for you. You can send to: Office@therealseal.com
That's not bad, $41k for 22 push pier. I'm sure it cost more here in bay area, California.
@@cheerry777 you should see the garage when they come back.
3.5 in.
@@Losi5t20 you mean the garage settled more and looked very bad?
That job is very laborious. I do not missing doing that or running waterproofing on the inside of homes
It is a good workout, that is for sure!
flush mount piers🥸
You bet!
