That's insane. Great setup. How many of the Matchbox Motorways did you use to create your town? You aware of any recent reproductions of that track setup?
Hi, I used 2 sets , about 26 feet of track, I got both sets from ebay as they stopped making these sets back in 1970 - as yet I have not seen any reproductions. This set is coming down and I'm making a longer set with 2 power houses for each track, this should make the drive smoother and less stress on just one power house. great you like it.
well, that s it, I have seen all your videos, from the earliest to this one.
I 'liked' them all to encourage you for your efforts and creativity,
also, I find that you offer something quite original and distinctive.
my impressions;
it was a good choice to start at the beginning, as I could appreciate the evolution,
scenarios, scenes, cars, buildings, neat stuff!
I like the stories the most, and poems the least.
I have commented most, and left a few ideas to give you the perspective
of a spectator, and fan of movies, hopefully, it will inspire you.
while I don t collect or have any die cast cars, I still like them,
but mostly due to your layout-concept, I m not falling for other car channels,
while I saw a few, there was nothing to keep my interest long, nothing new.
I really like the Anderson feel of your art-work, nobody else does-can do it.
it s most unique.
naturally, I hope you will push this further, and make story-scenarios of that flavor,
as you demonstrated a talent in that, and have the tools-scenery.

thank you so much, i cannot imagine how much viewing time that is. I really appreciate your feedback and comments ( will take some time to answer all - but i do read them ). I first set up this channel just to catalogue my collection so I had a ready made video for when I sold them on ebay - then I found the Matchbox Motorway ( had one as a kid ) and that shaped direction of new videos - each time I try to get a little better - sometimes go a little off the wall and fail, but each time take that experience with me. I make the videos to make me smile and to capture the model in its full glory before it goes back in its box and into a dark cupboard . The fact that other people like them too is a real buz, CZcams does amaze me still, to make a video in your own house and broadcast it to a world audience - and get feedback in 24 hours is very powerful.
I work in waves - can't control or force it, when an idea hits I have to do it to get it from my head, each video takes about a day to create 5 minutes ( stay up all night - my most creative time ) .
I do love all the Gerry Anderson works, grew up on them, maybe still crave them.

*addition.... you will have noticed on this video I allow more time on the long shots..... decided it was a good idea to let the viewer look around before the cars come in, but it does make the video longer that can put alot of viewers off...funny that, but those who like it get more - thats the main thing - best wishes - Meilleurs voeux ( hope Google translate got that right ) longue durée de vie de l'individu

Thanks, cars run on an old Matchbox Motorway - turns any car into a slot car , film it with 3 cameras and edit with a real sound track,

they have pins underneath and run on a Matchbox Motorway - a 1960s slot car system made for Matchbox cars

off ebay, they don't make it now so ebay is the best place to find an old set
The Porsche 959 makes them all to losers ! Full packed with electronics, no drifting, excellent downforce, as in real life !😉😉😉
I am a big Porsche fan... in the past I have owned 911 Targa, a 928 and a 964 Carrera, I could never afford new ones - all my cars were about 8 years old when I got them.
The 928 was so loud it set off peoples car alarms, Also had a Golf GTI - So i'm a big German car fan
@@DiecastMovies Yes, I'm a Porsche fan too ! But never had the money to get one in real life. But in my show cases ( 17 )in my hobby room most are Porsches. From Le Mans and American Le Mans Series. From 911, 917 to 962 and all my models in 1/18 scale. I like that scale because I can nearly open anything of these models and take a look into it. Lots are from MINICHAMPS and PAUL'S MODEL ARTS. I have also Formula 1 cars, Indy and Champ cars Rally cars and DTM cars because I'm a teal race car fan. I have Motorvision and US Sport channel on my TV and watch the whole seasons of NASCAR and INDY CAR.
