- Kendra and I just spent another day rockhounding on the amazing Kokernot 06 Ranch. We had a wonderful time and found lots of great agates. This video will give you a taste of what it is like to spend the day looking for rocks out there in beautiful West Texas.

What a day! Great finds sir. Can't wait for the slab video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much Kenneth, I appreciate you watching!
You and Kendra are a fantastic team. It's wonderful to finally see the great Kokernot 06 Ranch. I looks like a great way to spend a day (or more). Thanks for taking us viewers along.🌳🌞🪨💎🌄
It’s a great place to visit. You should try to make it out there. Thanks for watching!
@@spwinaustin Ummm... Is any portion of it walker accessible? My balance is not great, but I'd love to give it a try. I'd really like to visit West Texas, 👵👩🦽
I am a part of the Texas Rockhounds! I post pictures of the stuff I find here now and again. Great finds! That jaspagate is my personal favorite.
Thanks James! You should definitely make it out there sometime. The hunting is unreal.
First of all, very nice to finally meet Kendra!
Those are all triple grade A finds!
OMG, what a fantastic place!
Scott, if you ever want to sell one of those or trade for a Canadian Agate, please let me know.
Just fantastic, pal!
Thanks Mike! I finally tricked her into getting in the shot 😆.
@@spwinaustin lol 👍🏻
I love them all, but that pink opal one is crazy beautiful!! 😊
I plan on cutting it soon 🤞. Thanks for watching!
Awesome finds!!!
Thanks so much!
Really nice finds!
Thank you Rosemary!😁
Great day! I see why you like those black agates.
😁
Looks like there is lots there, but most is partly buried. Haven't been to this site yet. Thanks for the intro.
I’m sure you will find some great rocks next weekend!
It was a great time spending Sunday with the group. Long time subscriber to your channel, nice to meet you .
Thank you so much for watching! It was a pleasure for me as well!
Beautiful Finds, my favorite
Was the Crayola Agate!
Wish I could find one a little
smaller than your's. I'm hoping
that I can find one this Fall at my
City's Gem and Mineral show!
🙂🙂🙂
Thanks for watching Cathy! I just started a batch of the crayola agate so stay tuned for that.

Thanks! 🙂🙂🙂
Just found your channel and subscribed - great job narrating the show and tells! Former Texan living in the Seattle area, but hope to be back in less than 5 years (nice rocks here too, though). Really beautiful specimens - can’t wait to see what they turn into!
Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate it! And hurry back to Texas!😆
You have to look for fractures on these large pieces or you will end up mostly with tumbling material!
Yup, true that 😉.
Do you have any follow up videos of what this looks like when you do your stuff with it?
Alpine is one of my favorite places in TX
It has become my favorite spot as well! If you check my playlists you will find lots of videos showing the West Texas rocks in action. For the last few months I’ve almost exclusively used them.
Hi Scott! Do you have any advice for starting a local rock club? My area lost their club years ago and I want to start something new again! Love your videos!
Hi, thanks for watching! I recommend beginning with a social media group on Facebook or the like. You could start a rock lovers group for your area and then once it grows you could work it into an actual brick and mortar club with monthly meetings 😁. Good luck!
@@spwinaustin that is a great place to start, you're so right. Thank you so much for the thoughtful and very helpful reply. Rock on, Scott!!
You need to move your phone just a little slower when you are in the field. I got whiplash a couple times!
Thanks for the feedback Stephen!
I am wondering if you have to watch out for danger, like rattlesnakes. Or don't you have those there?
There are definitely snakes there but fortunately we didn’t encounter any. Lots of other critters as well 😏. Thanks so much for watching!
Did you learn something from my talk before you went out again?
I enjoyed your lecture very much! Good luck next weekend!!
