- (13 Mar 1976) Nigerian Chief of Staff Umaru Yar'Adua speaking at a press conference where he claimed deposed president Yakubu Gowon was involved in last month's coup attempt. He said they planned to extradite Gowon back from Britain.

Funny thing is yar adua was later accused of a coup by gen abacha and died in detention under suspicious circumstances

You are truly dense. These guys came from an era where education at any level in Nigeria was as good as could be obtained anywhere. The headmaster of my school was British trained and we were schooled like the British. Not the garbage that obtains today at all levels.
