Mesmerizing music of the Bakhtiari tribe (of Iran), with the traditional Bakhtiari trousers (what we call 'dabit'). The performance has noticeably elements of our traditional dancing style. Tears are running down my cheeks as I am listening to this folkloric song about one of Bakhtiari heroes whose story is told in every family. His name is 'Shir Ali Mardoon'!
Very interesting explanation for us who are not familiar with Iranian tradition but nevertheless enjoy the music and elaborate dance!
I grew up with this song as my mom put me in sleep singing this sing as lullaby. I remember very well that every time she cried deeply with this song. I always was looking for it and thought I would never find the song let alone such a great performance from someone who his face and his features are so match with the song and his performance. Thanks a lot Shahrokh for great work and especially for picking this song and you picked the very original version of it. Congratulations.

I think most Iranian grocery stores that carry music would have it. One in Chicago called Pars Grocery has the old AND all the new stuff. Everything from Googoosh, Hayedeh and Darius from back in the day to the lastest Persian pop. Call them I am sure if they don't have it they could probably tell you where you could buy in in LA.
