I heard that there might be a shortage on boba so I made a dash to the Asian market to get some. While I was there I ran into my mom and helped her pick out a jackfruit. She says you have to smell the jackfruit to pick out the ripe one. I then grabbed a few of my favorite Asian snacks like shrimp chips and different flavor kitkat candy bars. This time around my grocery haul was mainly snacks and a large Jackfruit.
The KitKat flavour is Hōjicha. It’s a roasted green tea flavour. 10/10 would definitely recommend. 😌

It’s called being resourceful do you think that during a tornado warning people will just let others pass by and get what they need before you do no because then what would you get nothing. @@kiera_2006 but in this video all she is doing is buying boba you can’t assume things about her because she took more than one item that was running out. When you get groceries don’t you also get multiple of the same item going by that logic wouldn’t that also be selfish?
I have a really tall jackfruit tree here at the apartment. The landlady allowed us to have all the fruits. We harvest maybe 20 or more every year.

I LOVE SHREDDED SQUID. Be warned though, the smell is STRONG when you open up the bag. My grandma got mad at me for eating the squid because it smelled up the whole house and told me to throw it away
I gave some to my aunt as a new snack and she gave it to my grandma before trying. My grandma had dentures and nearly choked

KITKAT, they are SO popular in Japan because of their name KITKAT, it sounds like the Japanese word for Kitou Katsu “You will win for sure”. So this snack is given as a gift in any situation where luck is needed, that’s why it has the dream for writing on the back, to write a little message “you can do it” before the final exam to your school friends. One chef has created all the KitKat flavors in Japan. This explains that the all English chocolate first released in 1935, became a Japanese thing. And by the way, The taste you showed in the video is dark tea.

I'm black but the Asian store is practically my home the first time,I went with my friends we spent almost 60 dollars at that store me and my friends would rather go to the Asian store (we call it exotic Walmart believe it or not)and the library (anime/manga section)or a boba café than go to a mall or somewhere normal teenagers would go to spend there free time
i wonder if the label "mango manila" basically means the mangoes are from manila? i only ask because our country is known for having very sweet mangoes, and if i am right, well.. i just love to see our local produce being enjoyed by other people 💗

For anyone out there needing to stock up on something… DO NOT buy too much of the item when you can finally get you’re hands on it. There’s other people who may need it too. I live in England and in some shops they have to put a buying limit on items so people don’t buy too many.

there probably is! it probably isn’t as big as the one she’s going to, but there are many little asian markets scattered around towns

I'd like to know WHY Thai, Vietnamese and Phillipino food is so expensive from countries with such poverty and made with mainly vegetables and white rice (cheapest ingredients.)
In my local Chinese store everything is cheaper then supermarket except some exotic items. Yes! They do have amazing American products flavored for the Asian market. Strangest things were Red bean filled Oreos, Green Tea and Ginger flavored KitKats and chocolate covered Shrimp Chips. Amazing varieties of Ramen and Salty Snacks are my favorites..
You mean western; kitkats aren't American. Also the socio-economic value of a country doesn't make the quality of their crops any less valuable, especially when theirs are more likely to be fully organic. It's precisely why locally-sourced organic food is also pricey.

Definitely tea. you can see the stack of tea leaves on the side. And the color of the tea is a lot lighter than the color of coffee.

Oh.. Asian market means combination of Asian culture. That’s actually really cool. I live in a SEA country, so we’d have a Korean market, Japanese market and then there are the western UK/US based product market which usually have “grocer “ as part of the name.

I like milk tea and boba drinks but I can NOT stand tapioca bobas. I like the popping fruit ones.

you just have to look at the pictures, and sometimes they tell u what it is on the back (or at least mine does)

If I am unsure I ask the clerk. One of our smaller Asian stores, the folks there are so helpful to me. The biggest one, not as much. I like the smaller one better anyhow. It supports a family.

I love that salamanco ice cream, chocolate is my fav then strawberry and matcha green tea, you let it melt a tiny bit so it tastes creamier and it’s so cute like he’s puckering to kiss you.

I'm Jamaican and ate jackfruit growing up. I love it and it's one of my favorites. Now I'm living in Boston and have to go to the hood or Asian markets to get it. Don't know why the Shaw's in my town don't sell it. When I lived in New York, I could but it any where because New York is a melting pot and you can find anything you want easily without searching for it

Yum yum Jackfruit the best fruit there is. Wow that's so cheap here in the UK you can only buy it in whole form from a Bangladeshi food store. Just a small one (size of a melon) can set you back between £25-30.
