2020 Worlds meta was the worst for EU junglers, except for Selfmade (and thats why he shined on that meta, miss that Eve or the Kindred vs TES)
to be fair the comparison to top korean or chinese player would sound all kinda the same
there is such a gap especially in carry metas
look at ig worlds it was solo lane meta not adc meta as for now and rookie and theshy kinda stomped every western team
but eu teams are more likely to try stuff outside the meta and succed with that as asia teams
and i mean for sure in a carry jungle meta u would pick canyon over jankos but you would also pick every top team asia top laner over wunder so it´s kinda wierd to compare that
i mean if you think about wunder against theshy he cant even play the game
The 2019 meta was the best for G2. Early game jungler, playmaking mid, safe ADC, so support can roam and whatever toplane.

A side note, Tian also is not that good on a lot of carry jungle. Tian is extremely good on tempo jungler though.

I don't understand why the semi finals in lower brackets are on saturday and finals on sunday. Why don't they play on friday instead of saturday so they can have 1 day to elaborate? xd
Probably because the viewer count is usually bigger on Saturdays and sundays. On Friday a lot of people still have to work/go to school. Riot keeps track of that including which hours are usually better and change their format accordingly. It's all about the watch time. At least in the LEC and LCS.
Additionally the loosers bracket team is supposed to have a small disadvantage because the winners bracket Team didnt have to use their second chance. So they might be a little exhausted sunday after a potential nerv wrecking 5 game series on saturday.
I mean fnatic didnt have a second chance but they slacked very hard in the regular Season, so they have to do more in the playoffs than G2 for example.
@@mattityahu2713 that's never a valid reason. If you do a competiton with a loser bracket you never punish that bracket. It's anti competitive to do so.
Riot does it for the viewer count and nothing more. And if you want more viewers it's in their best intrest to make those games as competitive as possible so they have longer series and more hype games which means more exposure for their sponsors.
It's all about the money. Always.

@@kojp9469 Bengi, Ambition, Tian, Canyon, Ning and Peanut are all easily clear. Jankos literally only starting winning after joining g2 in 2018, before that he had never won a single title. Everyone on the list has either had an insane career (Ambition, Bengi, Peanut) or literally smurfed on Jankos so hard it was embarassing (Ning in 2018, Tian in 2019, Canyon in 2020) and gone on to win worlds dominantly. Tbh i would even say someone like Clearlove has had a more impressive career than Jankos. Managed to compete in the LPL and get domestic titles consistently for 6 years straight between 2012-17, plus a better international record with a roster that was a lot worse.
He s not wrong tho, but same goes for western tops and the gap is even bigger
I mean wunder is not wrong. Jankos was never a carry jungler but rather a veey good support jungler type. I mean give jankos viego and see what happens and also in Order for jankos to even be a relevant jis midlane should be very strong(like caps) otherwise he will become garbage.

Hmm quite interesting hearing that from him, considering Razork hard carried FNC in the summer playoffs so far (along with Upset) while Wunder made multiple mistakes that almost ended up in 0-3 vs XL
??? Upset?? This guy was one of worse adcs in lec vs xl, vs mad lions he was not bad but still get totall carry by humanoid and razork, i would say he have to play some week side adc and let humanoid carry him 👍🏻

I think eu actually has good junglers but the hardcore carrystyle junglers like inspired and selfmade are gone. Even Asian teams literally feared selfmades evelynn in scrims in 2020. And if assassin junglers like elise and khazix would be meta jankos would be fine aswell (basically his old signatures). I don't even know what position in eu is stacked if compared to other regions honestly. Top is probably worst. Supports are fine but terrible with enchanters. Junglers are mostly early game and setup players. Mid is inconsistent and miles behind the east. So adcs probably closest to their eastern counterparts

He used to be cracked on carries like Kled and Vlad. Nowadays even his Gwen looks a bit off, yeah. Playing tanks is mostly catering to the teamcomp though, so it might not be what he prefers or just good at.
It is the meta, he cant play like fiora if enemy can ez counterpick that shit w everything, all toplaners got so nerfed that now it is best just to play tanky good setup toplane, also, in meta r broken enchanter supports so toplane has to play tanks rn with engage and lot of hp, every single toplaner on every single region is playing "just tanks" now
We are in a hypercarry meta. Unless kalista, draven or lucian makes it trough the bans, which is rare, you cant run a carry top. And even if one of those is picked its still renekton thats the go to pick. Not really a very fun meta for top atm
@@petarkostic9755 Ngl, that is not very true, I have been watching mostly LCS but also some LCK and LPL and I see lots and lots of Renekton, Aatrox, Gwen, Kennen, Gnar, Jax, etc.
We also see some Fioras and such but mostly from LPL since they can actually play it

Pretty sure he played at a reasonably high level on carry junglers in 2019, including internationally. And he also did so last year, hauling 3 dead weights, and a "do nothing, just chill" adc, to playoffs.
@@FitzgeraldStanburyWeissV In 2019 most of G2's wins (in both MSI and Worlds) came from Jankos playing rek sai, jarvan IV, Gragas and Elise which werent really carry junglers (tho tbf he had a very good olaf). At worlds, his inability to play carry junglers was really exploited too. G2 were consistently banning Pantheon and Qiyana first phase because they didnt feel comfortable picking it, which left Lee Sin open. Every single playoff game g2 lost was against a lee sin.
Wunder is trashtalking as usual . Talking about junglers when the truth is most of the G2 games were lost cause of the TOP DIF - and it was not even close.
