- Enjoy a front seat full ride of It's a Small World, "the happiest cruise that ever sailed", at Hong Kong Disneyland with Virtual Tours TV. Take a trip around the world on the boat while children from different countries sing the classic song in their native languages.
The first appearance of It's a Small World was at the New York World's Fair in honour of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The project was supervised by Walt Disney himself and it was one of the most popular attractions at the fair. It was eventually shipped back to Disneyland, California, where it reopened on May 28, 1966. For Hong Kong, being one of the first facilities that opened at the resort, the ride was completed in 2008.
There are nine different themes at It's a Small World in Hong Kong Disneyland, from the North Pole to the final area where children all around the world sing in unison the song in Cantonese, English and Mandarin/Putonghua. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Wow I didn't notice that before. Amazing details you've observed :) Yes I think the flume in HKDL is the same as that in Disney World but different from Tokyo and Paris. The flume in the latter two appears "wider" than the narrow canal in HKDL.

They look similar in appearance, but there are slight differences in structure. The boats in HKDL have metal bars at the back of the chairs, which are absent in Disney World.
