Safety first. Check that power is off before attempting rewiring.
12v systems are reasonably safe. The old controller output just requires a circuit to be made.
Sorry that this video is a bit disjointed. As with the previous video, the temperatures in the garage were too high to make working under the layout bearable. Subsequently, running trains and pottering about was about as much as I could handle at the time.
