For people wondering what Monkey board was used for it was essentially a 1 card combo to set up pendulum scales. You set scale Monkeyboard and it searches another performapal pendulum monster so you can set up your scales.
RIP for those who pulled Calamity from the free anniversary pack. You wont get any UR back and you get your free pull scammed away from you as an result of this banlist.

Calamity ban is the single greatest ban since Barrier Statute of the Stormwinds. Iâm absolutely ecstatic to see it go.
I think Calamity shouldâve required Red Dragon Archfiend cards of some kind, much like Cosmo Neos. If that was the case, the card wouldnât be nearly as busted
It wouldn't have mattered since crimson dragon would have still been able to cheat it out, unless you mean a clause saying you can only use that effect if you used a rda synchro as material in which case I guess

Done. That's literally the only eratta it would ever need, and most people would be fine with the card. It's still a degenerate effect and I personally think it should be replaced entirely because effects like this have no place in the game, but this would at least require the lock to have an extremely fragile setup that usually wouldn't be worth the effort to pull off.
Asking if Calamity had an animation kinda hurts, All the Red Dragon Archfiend Boss Monsters are without an animation, not even Red Supernova Have one, Konami could at least give us a Red Supernova Animation T.T

Calamity was "Stop activating your cards in my f'king turn!" but now when you can summon him in opponent's turn then it's a toxic shutdown. They should errata it to add just one line like "Can only be summoned in your own turn" and it can come back to 3 no problem
Me personally Iâd add the errata that it can only get that effect if itâs summoned using Red Dragon Archfiend as material, that way you canât leave the materials for Calamitys summon on the field to summon during the enemy turn since RDAs effect kills your monsters if you play him on turn 1

Yeah, or "if u summon it this way". Like ritual beast boss monster, insane boss with omni negate, not once per turn, but if u special summon it with winda effect, that boss monster dont have ability to omni negate
@metis7534 crimson dragon, in my opinion, is fine. The dragon synchro pool isn't as powerful as you'd think. Also, errataing him wouldn't be a good fix because there are generic rda synchros and engines like centur-ion and bystial could help rda consistently calamity lock. Getting rid of it is the best choice because having a card that can just turn skip is, as shown over and over again, too powerful
Monkeyboard is basically copies 4,5, and 6 of JokerâŠ. While the salad days of pendulums are behind them, and it wonât shake up the meta much, itâs a nice QoL release for we five remaining pendulum stans.

The reason they hit wanted is because it also give you a draw one compared to diabellstar. Heavy storm will probably come out of the banlist the same day with the new pack so people won't craft it.

This list is great!. Not only it deals with the second Ash which I do struggle to play against most of the time,. It weakens the ceiling and hand size of a Snake-eyes player by a lot.

@shadowspector3611 I built pure stun fully expecting Konami to ban any of my pieces but they never do. They have a bizarre relationship with the game and the players. It's why my gamer tag in game is "blame Konami" because they could easily put an end to the turbo cancer decks and just don't. Kash, runick, tear, floo, they could fully kill off these decks but just refuse to. Same with pure stun. Seems like an easy ban but they let it rock. They have this weird philosophy about letting decks hang around forever.
@@bobby45825: Itâs because bad players need them to compete. Thatâs not even salt talking. Dckayed explicitly said that yugioh is too complicated for new players to join so they need floodgate decks to even compete and it makes sense to an extent.
â@@bobby45825how is Runick a cancer deck? Pure Runick is very interactive and fun to play. If anything I want them to undo some of the hits because the Runick cards were never the issue, it was always the things paired with it. Especially for Naturia and Stun, those are the worst.

13:18 the thing about current Yugioh card design is that most cards (specifically archetypes) do two/three effects that always setup without a restriction of what can be summoned. Yea, it would limit deck building, but when you have generic negate and a strong body monster off of 2 cards, then thatâs just Konami at work for making money to ban cards later.
This was a good banlist, but I wanted to see more cards come off the banlist.

King Calamity being banned is well deserved. Konami should stop coming up with broken effects. I don't see Chaos Ruler coming back for long time for that reason unless they downgrade the card
Lol calamity came out almost a decade ago. Old cards with broken effects arenât the problem. New engines that make high level, broken cards super easy to summon with low-zero risk is the problem.
Calamity was a newish symptom of a much bigger disease.
I think they should make an errata of calamity that is easier to summon (not too easy) but make it only summonable on your own turn.
Or if they want to keep the parts that make it toxic then make it only summonable with RDA cards to keep it contained to a rogue-tier 3 deck.

yeah, if it gets limited after Pyro monsters become useless or snake-eyes is restricted too much and falls out of meta, it would technically miss it's timing

I actually ran into that naturia deck just earlier in rank today. Good riddance to Calamity imo. Card really makes a match unplayable especially when they got omni negates ready to intercept most forms of interruption

I never used Calamity in T.G... Instead I tend to Accel Synchro Light/Dark Chaos Angel on rival's turn. But depending the situation I can also Accel Baronne or Chenying. Chaos Angel protects Glaive Blaster. You can Reset the Baronne for your next turn with Glaive Blaster. Chenying is the tricky since depends on having targets to banish with Glaive Blaster first to trigger Cheying.
Iâm satisfied with this list. I donât play snake-eye (I have the deck I just never played it) so Iâll dust my 2nd Wanted and finally make a Spright Elf for my Memento deck đ
Does anyone know if/when a Galaxy Eyes Structure Deck is coming? I like to plan things in my head to save the gems needed. Currently using gems to open packs 100 at a time hoping for Horus or Memento.
We got the cipher, doubt they'll do another structurr deck for Galacy Eyes. The new pack might come later though,like a month, three or when the TCG gets the support

Well, each time I got under Calamity I could beat my opponent. Yes, I just fusion summon Dinomorphia Rexterm and Ferret Flames my opponent's monsters. Definitely, their jaws dropped and cracked apart.
People hated the fact that Calamities shut down their wombo combo pile Decks and made violet cards called Traps a thing in the game again, same reason they hate Bird Floo, and especially Labrynth for bringing those violet cards back.

Do you really want a card type that is miles better going 1st to be prevalent in a game where going 1st is already an advantage?
Yes yes, I know trap cards can be designed in such a way where this isn't the case but if you're changing the rules on how traps work, there's no point in making them traps now is there?
They're a relic of a completely different era just like flip monsters and tribute summoning. They're mechanics that can still be used in modern yugioh but only after being modified to an extent that makes it feel less like a truly unique design and more like a gimmick.
Floowandereeze may tecnicaly tribute summon but from my perspective it looks exactly like any other standard extra deck strategy but now the cards come from the main deck, which means nothing when you can search them regardless.
Lab is complicated, I do like some aspects of the deck such as the turn 0 plays it has that were used to make the deck function going second, or the slow grindy gamwplay they promote. But I do not like the idea of having an archetype that can just search any* trap card in the game and I also don't like the idea of handrip effects. So I'd give Lab a solid 7,5/10 for their design efforts.
So far I love the banlist those hits on snake eyes is really great not the best but we take it and because of that I guess I can cut my deck some sinful spoils and add another diabelstar.

About snake, instead of hit on poplar why not just banned Oak? I mean, normal summon Ash, search poplar, summon poplar, make kuriboh, then what? Jsut summon flamberge? We definitely won't summon birch since birch can only special summon a snake on op turn which does nothing.

You realize Oak is only there to revive an additional monster when you use Flameberg on the opponent's turn? That's literally the reason why it's played. Banning Poplar is WAY better. Even limiting it will be a surefire hit
Hopefully Heavy Storm will never be unbanned. The animation was made only for people that wanted to play with the card in privated duel rooms.

Any effect that says: "Your opponent can't activate card effects" should be ban. it basically says your opponent can not play the game.
Correction, any effect that says âyour opponent canâtâ or âNeither player canâ, this would end the stun decks and lock decks.

If the Bystials are limited to 1 Flamberge needs to be limited to 1. Has way more interactions than any of the Bystials far too strong.

I must say this banlist may be small but it's actually pretty good. I don't know how much Monkeyboard to 3 would change the power level of Pendulum Magicians and Odd-Eyes (and also other pend decks), but it would surely be something special and interesting to see players cook.

Iâm ok with SE getting consistency hits, but Iâm against Poplar getting hit. That just outright kills the deck, as we saw with the tournament. That said, Konami does what they want and theyâll ban anything they want to push new cards.

@user-nn6ow3xt5o the tear downplayers are the manifestation of cancer. Thankfully Konami will never give them what they want. It's actually more annoying they don't hit the rest of the tear cards and free the collateral damage cards like Terraforming and instant fusion.

Let's say Pachinkomoney decided to make the next format around pretending Tear never happened, so they ban every single Tear card ever made in all 3 formats (TCG, OCG, MD) and just completely remove them from the franchise without hitting any strays like Visas Starfrost or Kashtira Tearlament that are related but made for other Decks, to see what they can free in every format like when Halqifibrax and Friends finally went away (TCG just banned the last survivor of that family, Borreload Savage Dragon, it is now a format where Halqifibrax is retconned out of the game completely) and dozens of cards were unbanned.
What are all the cards that get freed, in all 3 formats, in a world without any Tearlaments anywhere whatsoever?

Chimera is a ton of fun, but itâs heavily nerfed by being released after full powered SE. Maybe it will be better whenever MD gets Nightmare Apprentice
