Cheri Oteri was a hugely underrated SNL performer. She was always funny.
She was just ok, IMO. She seemed to have only had one character she did. Looking around both ways all goofy like in every skit.

@@EL34XYZ Better than Jimmy Fallon, who always laughed and broke character while looking directly into the camera. Meanwhile, he has his own late night show while poor Cheri remains a cult favorite at best. It's a shame really, but such is life. Mediocrity usually wins out.
When I wake up in a bad mood I watch this video and it turns my frown upside down. And by that I mean it makes me smile. Cheri was amazing.

I found it to be ironic and hilarious @ the same time , Ironic that an attractive women like her would have to splay herself around so provocatively , and hilarious in the way it shocked the temp girl into a submissive roll so quick, well done skit ! Obviously taken from a real life occurrence , with exaggerated behavior.

You're not wrong, but it could also be viewed as Rachael hoping that Cheri might lose interest in her sexually; she's just a temp, after all -- a subtle metaphor for her place in the social hierarchy and her sexual market value. The joke within the joke is that Cheri is too daft to understand this implicit dynamic, just like she's too daft to understand that her behavior in the office is inappropriate, just as to be explicit about social hierarchy is generally inappropriate. So, the temp must remind Cheri in a literal way -- which plays on the overarching gag that Cheri is literal with her explanations of her sexual innuendo.

as far as know, she didn't get along well with the other cast memebers, she used to cry in the makeup room before going up to the stage. the same goes with Chris Kattan. It's really a shame, they both are very talented

Can't believe I never saw this sketch before. O'teri was always great but this was another level. So funny. Her confused reaction to Goodman asking her to clarify an obvious innuendo was a funny twist.

Cheri Oteri is my All Time Favorite!! I cannot stop laughing!!
Oteri made the others push their limits. She was so over-the-top good they all had to work hard to keep up. She managed to go toe to toe with Will Ferrell, (the cheerleaders) and you know that had to be satisfying for her. I miss her and she's one of the rare SNL alumni that you don't see much of now.

yea i was even thinking, what?! at some of the stuff she was saying and i am not opposed to raunchy comedy. she also had that other character she played opposite Kattan where they always pawed at each other.
Look up the "Penis" sketch from the early nineties. Matthew Broderick is the guest performer and it has him, Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon, and others playing characters on a nude beach.
Kept waiting for a twist. And by twist, I mean an unexpected development in the plot.
This is one of the best skits ever!
I simply can't stop watching this !!! This is comedy mastery at it's finest....... Whenever I need a tear jerking laugh , this insane skit is my go to. No one can carry this off like Cheri did.....she is the original "hot ass mess" !!! Laughter is so contagious , the shrieks in the audience everytime she pushes the envelope further make it even funnier. Cheri is a "National Treasure" ! 🤣🧡🤣
