I would say that JYP is quite respected just because he owns one of the biggest companies (top 3) but as a boss no we don’t like him, at least most GOT7 fans or fans of groups that are under JYP ENT won’t like him because of bad management, if you saw how bad they managed GOT7 bro no wonder how people where so happy when they left the company because we knew the boys would do so much better without JYP. With JYP, its a love hate relationship😂 Like we love laughing at him and the out of pocket things he does while being dead serious.. Bro is like a wannabe kpop idol. He's actually a really good dancer but sometimes the moves he does is laughable. He thinks he's a better a singer than he actually is. And the fact that he is the CEO of JYP entertainment, where the thing with Twice's Momo being forced to starve eat one ice cube a day happened and boy groups typically dont get treated well there in terms of being promoted (like what happened with GOT7) Dunno how Straykids are surviving but i know he rejected one of the members initially in the competition to form SKZ.

People have quite a variety of opinions when it comes to JYP. Personally I am not the biggest fan of his personal music but I respect him alot for spearheading the growth of Kpop around the world. He really is the reason that Kpop has become so popular and many idols have a lot of respect for him so I don't see why fans shouldn't as well
I think a lot of people have trouble with JYPE's treatment of their artists and confuse the company with JYP the artist. Like GOT7 wanted to get out of JYPE because of how badly they were treated but still seem to be totally chill with JYP himself for example. Same with Jae from DAY6. He has hella trauma from being in JYPE but considers JYP a role model and really likes him.

@@alexanderallin1743 Sure. Some, maybe. But a lot of people hate JYP cuz of him, not the company. He's genuinely done and said stuff that is reprehensible.
I personally don't really care about him (Fever is absolutely fire tho ngl) but he has said and done some messed up stuff, as many old men have. I totally understand people who don't like him. Sure, he's 100% left a big mark on the K-Pop industry but that doesn't excuse his actions.
He’s weird in general. Didn’t he say “Don’t you wish your girlfriend was as hot as these 14 year olds in revealing clothing” when he debuted sunmi, hyuna, and sohee..their debut was very inappropriate for girls of 14 and that wasn’t the only weird thing he made them do while they were teenagers/minors and once they got older he switched to Miss A and who knows how many other girl groups. I agree that he’s had a major contribution and influence to Kpop but do I think he deserves respect as a person? No, he creeps me the hell out. When I look at him all I see is a old man acting like a 20 yr old to stay relevant.
